I will say, when this thing works it's really satisfying. One of my favorite blasters to shoot. I have shot it quite a bit since I made my review and it still works. Either I got lucky or the edge is a lot more reliable than both the mk3 and bk1 designs.
Heey Jarek!! Glad you dropped by our channel haha! Indeed, the QWK Edge is EASILY the best auto springer to plink around with at home, it bested its more expensive sibling Challenger MK3 Pro max simply because it has a true mechanical trigger. Objectively speaking the Edge is more reliable than both the Mk3/Bk1 because it has much less thing going on, it really is a very very simple system within with minimal electronics. You have to remember that when a blaster is designed with only Semi-auto firing mode, it makes everything easier and simpler.
@@monkeemods8393 That was sort of my biggest complaint. Instead of making a simpler aeg design, they decided to go all in. I think it was just too complicated for its own good. Like I said, I love the concept of AEGs and I do feel it's a matter of time before we start really seeing reliable ones become affordable, reliable, and have good performance.
So basically proprietary mags and battery, and have to use specific darts.....for that price plus, considering you're shipping.it hit or miss hard pass
Stay far far away from these type of blaster if you aren't willing to deal with the problems that comes with it. It is very very important the buyer do their due diligence and research before jumping in head first, or they will be sorely disappointed. And this is why I make these videos :D
Think if you're gonna do this type of angle for reviews, you should get a lapel mic because your voice is a lot softer compared to when you were closer to the cameras mic
you are awesome. i was feeling worried about my edge arriving soon. I will make sure i have a jam rod and magnet....what darts should i get here in the US? can i get worker gen 2 non bamboo dwrts here in USA?
@@monkeemods8393 hey maybe the jam is not only the type of darts but the problem with the magazine...i sprayed wd40 on a cotton swab tip and gently rubbed it over the loader part of the magazine and flaps. And there are 2 little holes i sprayed WD40 around the inside of the magazine where the spring is. it made a huge difference. before i could only shoot 5 darts no jams, now i can shoot more.
will you stock the black version for ppl outside the US that dont play in public ? also will you stock on the picatiny, its only available via taobao and most of non-chinese ppl dont understand shits on this site XD
That is very unlikely, it isn't just about whether this blaster is safe for outdoor use or not, but also with the authorities. We will gonna have problem with our local authorities/courier even, if this is in full black :/ You can expect plenty more accessories for Edge to be available in MM in the near future ;)
From my experience it really depends on the length of the dart, and as mentioned even the same brand, same model of dart, but the length can differ in different batches, so it's best to check and make sure the dart length is is no longer than 36.5MM, and you'll be alright with the Edge.
What exactly is making the edge so picky with the darts? Just wondering if a little 3d printed thing on the inside could solve that problem (though I have no clue what the internals look like).
Hardness/thickness/length of the dart's foam basically. First the short dart length must be within 36~36.2MM. Any longer than 36.2mm will risk jamming the blaster, the longer the darts the higher the chance of it jamming the blaster. Then the secondary factor is the hardness of the dart's foam. The stiffer the better, Hence the QWK Black Dragon EPP dart is the best type of dart for the Edge. If the dart is squished (usually due to staying in the mag for an extended period of time or worn out), the dart below the top dart will potentially obstruct the pusher, and this is the most common type of jam happens with the Edge. This can happen to the Challenger Mk3 as well but because the Mk3 has Active Dart Corrector that further mitigate this from happening, so it isn't really a big deal. Unfortunately for Edge, due to the compact design, it's impossible to do an ADC for it.

Yes we'll be doing a complete disassembly and assembly of the Edge soon to show the internal. Well it's either using less than ideal chargers like the B3/B4, or you'll have to use the alligator clip to charge the battery with a B6 charger, there is no specific connector made for the Edge's battery at the moment. No big deal really, it's just that we aren't used to seeing the application of alligator clip in the hobby lol. Not a great analogy but I don't see anyone saying using the alligator clip to charge up car's battery is awkward xD

Worker gen2s, work best on this baby. Gen 3s less so. It absolutely hates anything bamboo or even bamboo headed.

You need better dart.....its the point.
You need to use the CORRECT darts. Good dart with incorrect length will jam the system as well.
