I recently ordered my Focusrite Scarlett 2i2 Studio Bundle Pack (3rd gen) and Lewitt DTP 340 Rex (for kick drum) to start making drum covers, and this tips and advices are so great. I think it's good time to invest on budget led lamps to light my videos
Awesome! I learned some of this through trial and error (and pretty good gear). This is the most comprehensive video I've found, however. Still trying to figure out how to get a cell phone on a tripod to NOT shake when playing.

How do I make my Druns sound good in a basement room.. It doesn't sound the same as when I recorded on my phone. I don't know if you're sending on my phone I should be turning down. Or turning the eq's up on the ambience I'm not sure I just thought I would ask if anyone knows thank you.. 🥁💜🌹

Great video Adam, super helpful! I have a question about filming. What focus setting you use in your camera for drum playing videos? My Panasonic G7 autofocus focuses on my face, but when I hit a cymbal, since it's moving, the camera focuses on it instead of my face, so the entire video it's a contest between me and the cymbals, the rest of the scene is blurred. I even disabled autofocus but didn't have good results with manual focus since I have to focus on the subject before pressing the record button, but there is no subject since I am behind the camera to press the button. This new technologies make it so complicated, old cameras focused automatically on the entire scene. Thank you!👍
If you haven’t already figured out a solution, an external monitor/bigger screen for your camera makes it a lot easier to get manual focus right where you want it to be!
