I always say to myself daemon is my favourite character but Ewan always makes me double think it, especially his performances in S2. Ewan & Emma have dropped some titan level performances
@@DecSteele I hope to see Ewan Mitchell in other projects because he is an amazing actor. The whole cast is talented but Ewan just captivates me in every scene he’s in 🙌🏻
I would like to add that only Targaryens, with the blood of Old Valyria, can ride dragons in canon lore. So it is a blood bond, likely magical in nature, formed from the days of the Valyrian Freehold. For that reason, not just anyone can calmly and safely approach a dragon with any chance of success. What the Red Sowing shows, is that there is nothing supreme and special about the Royal Line of Targaryens, beyond the manners and appearance. They may be pure-blooded, but their bastards (sorry GOT words) are thick blooded too. The Royal Line likely utilized the "only we purebloods can ride dragons" propaganda to enhance their rule. So Jace is upset when all that is threatened by these events, considering his uncertain paternity issues😅.
Hugh's mom and Visery's/Daemon's dad are siblings. Their parents are both children of King Jaehaerys. So Viserys/Daemon/Hugh are grandchildren of King Jaehaerys. Rhaenys is the grandchild of King Jaehaerys too, so her father would have been siblings with Hugh's mom/Viserys dad. Without spoiling too much, Hugh's mom's name is Saera, you can google her story if you would like :)
Jace is worried because he knows him being the son means nothing just like it didnt mean anything to his mother. Its actually worse for him because he is a bastard and now there are 2 dragon riders with white hair and more powerful dragons that have no connection to the crown, to him, to his mother and to viserys. He already knows he has no chance moving forward because the only thing he had was the dragon, now its over. Even if they win if rhaenyra dies in 10 years there is nothing stopping one new dragon riders from simple saying they want to the kings. On the other hand its also not her fault, she didnt really have a choice tbh.
One of the biggest mysteries of GRRM's writings are the dragons. I would say to the dragon questions, nobody knows for certain how the dragons are tamed and claimed. That's the scary truth and the rest is in canon and out of canon speculation. In my opinion, the dragon chooses the rider, and the dragon chooses to listen to commands based on the situation and the bond formed, but those with the blood of the dragon (Targaryens) stand a better chance of survival(still less than 50% in my opinion) than others.
Anything Alicent has done wrong doesn't come close to what male characters have done. But the "fans" hate her so much and create their own narratives in which she is guilty of anything bad that happens lol Meanwhile the director says Alicent and Rhaenyra are the heart of hotd. They can't cope with complex female characters.
Sobre a Alicent? Você está completamente certa. Eu concordo 100% com você A verdade é que o pessoal anda inventando motivos para odiá-la, assim como inventam motivos para melhorar o caráter do Daemon ou do Aegon
Want to say I loved it...but I didn't. Why? - basically it think the script writers botched the show. Bad narrative flow - hence the frustration about the ending, the critics of Damons 'side quest. I also think they 'dumbed down' the process the viewers see about how the dragons get new riders. The acting and stuff...brilliant. As always brilliant reacting. Thanks. Ps...admission - I've made exactly those mentioned mistakes before 😢😅.
I like how you like Aemond, he’s truly a great villain and character, Ewan Mitchell plays so well.
