    Welcome back! As you can see, I've had a really productive few days of getting rid of some of my clutter. Let me know, how is your week of decluttering going?

    I had collection of everything:perfumes, candles, bath bombs, make up, you name it, I had it. End up never using it because I saved them for special ocassions that never came. I stopped the foolishness and needed 5 years to take everything in order. Now Im minimalist and much happier.

      Oh my goodness, that’s awesome! I’ve started pushing myself to make everyday a special occasion and reminding myself to do it bc if I don’t, the clutter adds up and I’m not treating myself the way I want and deserve to treat myself. I’m approaching minimalism…not there yet, but I’m so encouraged by your story! I can do this! Thanks for sharing!!!!

      @@kristidoingthings thank you 😊 Its hard, there is always some new trend, new clothes, new make up but living in a less clutter makes you more grateful for everything you already have. 💙

    God really sent this channel to me. I recently lost my mom on December 19th suddenly. She joins my father and older brother in heaven. So I’ve experienced overwhelming loss too and I know the comfort of keeping materials just to keep our loved ones close. But our loved ones don’t live in worldly items, they live beyond that 💗🙏🏾

      I am so, so sorry for your loss. Please allow yourself the space to grieve and heal- there is comfort in that too. My mom passed in 2006, dad in 2008 and the healing was a process- some days it still hurts, but it gets better. Prayers and love to you! 💜

    Isn’t it amazing how the more you move out the easier it is to move more out.

      It really is. I definitely notice that the more foolishness I let go of in general, the less foolishness I’m willing to deal with, lol 😂

    I decluttered my "wardrobe" to the point where I got rid of my dresser! (everything fits into my closet). I live in Michigan (all 4 seasons) ALL of my clothes (including my winter coat & boots) fits into ONE large suitcase!

    This is my first time seeing your channel - you have such a cute personality! I love the label "foolishness" for your clutter - isn't that the truth what we do to ourselves? You did a great job, I'm looking forward to watching you declutter your other rooms! You're inspiring me!

    I’m always suspicious when a so called decluttering video begins with new stuff being purchased. Just as I thought, it was a waste of time.

    • @kristidoingthings
      @kristidoingthings  11 หลายเดือนก่อน +3

      Thank you for sharing. Not everybody can understand the need for growing out of one space and into another- and that's okay. The goal of decluttering is not only to have less but to know what you have, determine what you need (and want), and make sure that you have what is "right" for you. I never claimed to be a minimalist- just someone who is trying to make my space function for me and my family. And while throwing away and donating- yes, sometimes that means buying more. Thanks for popping by and best of luck as you find/buy/don't buy/do what works for you. 💛
