Maybe we can pretend that Alpha Bravo CAN keep up with the rest of the Aerialbots because his ability to fly isn't actually based on his chopper mode? Waspinator does a lot of wing-flapping, but I very much doubt that's enough to keep several hundreds of pounds of robot aloft.
Well, Waspinator in Beast Wars is several times smaller then the G1 Transformers in Beast Wars, and has a more organic-ish body, so in reality, Waspinator wouldn't weight several hundred pounds. Still heavy, for sure, but probably not _as_ heavy as, say, Optimus Prime would be. This is going with the Beast Wars route, though, he's been upscaled to others scaling in recent media, so take what you will, I suppose

I think that alpha bravo would be able to keep up with the other jets, due to the fact that just because he scanned an earth vehicle doesn’t mean he replicated the engine, he’s probably still got cybertronian thrusters
I got the upgrades for superion which include a better head, chest plate and hands 'n feet. (I also got rid of the double barrel guns cause there was nowhere to put them) they're really good until you try to store the chestplate and feet in vehicle mode...
Yeah...I wound up gettin' the G2 color set. On the downside, I was never able to get the PerfectEffect box set upgrade kit for it. Silverbolt is definitely my favorite of the bunch...then again, the G1 toy of Silverbolt was my favorite of the Aerialbots, too.
well, ill admit, i like the aerialbots too. Air Raid looks fine as is, i think leaving him in his f-14 mode makes him more of an evolution from his g1 counterpart. Skydive looks fine in his evolved f-16 mode and ill agree robot mode looks plain and boring. Firefly looks fine in robot mode but having him as an av-8 instead of an evolved f-4 phantom, really makes me rather disappointed with him unlike the official slingshot. and then the new kid in town, Alpha Bravo, vehicle mode resembling a Aerospatiale Dauphin rescue helicopter and looks alright. robot mode... eh it works. my major complaint with this set is the inconsistent representations specifically with firefly/quickslinger and alpha bravo. first things first, i don't like alpha bravo in this set, in the protectobots, blades works out fine. in the combatacons, forget it for an ON POINT re-paint of alpha bravo right down to the head, does not work for vortex. then there are 3 more alpha bravos, Stormclash and Skyburst from the Victorion team and Spinster from the Mayhem Attack Squad

I'll be looking to this comment for future reviews for this kind of info. firefly being Quickslingers jet really cheeses me off and how everyone call QS the repaint. as for blades I'm planning on doing a bit of remodeling work to his arms. but yeah the helicopter choice for Vortex wasn't the brightest idea ever guys! it's a combat commercial helicopter! we'll go for a tour of the battlefield field, and maybe even blow someone up! = D

quickist,no pun intended to get a quickslinger is to get a second blast off and just repaint him.blast off is just a total repaint quickslinger,nothin changed other then color. It cost about 25 bucks in total, it would cost less if the paint didnt dry to lid of the jars my paint was in to where i couldnt open them and had to buy a new set of paint lol
well i used white primer first because for some reason primer white goes over any color lol and then i went and use normal model paint white and the other colors and it looks fine except in the head. i have big fingers and shaky hands for small detail like that so i might go over it again but other then that i think it turned out really well.now all i need to do it get repro labels so he can stand out better and not look all white and a little red lol
I could have gotten Slingshot but I decided to stick with Alpha Bravo cuz I didn't know what I would do with him. AB looks great as Superion's arm and I decided just to pretend Slingshot doesn't exist.
one thing I did was swap the fireflight head with my blast off head cause it looks better like that Edit I should mention I have the generation 2 colored Combaticons cause I had the generation 2 colored fall of cybertron Bruticus and the two sets went together
I also think skydive is too bland. Also, am I the only one who thinks Fireflight's gun is a flame thrower. If you look closely next to the barrel, you can see some kind of pilot light. Plus the scope could also be a gas tank.

And it just hangs there. This drove me nuts as a kid with the G1 Aerialbots, and it annoyed me enough as an adult (that and the fact that I've never liked Silverbolt) that I didn't get any of them even though I wanted to. Maybe that's why they killed off Quickslinger. (See IDW comics). He just couldn't take the kibble any more...
Great review, I have all the aerialbot so far (expect Air Raid and Quickslinger) and so far I like them, they have got to be the best combiner wars set they have released so far. (Besides defensor) I hope bruticus turns out well when I get him.

I really regret not getting in to Combiner Wars sooner. By the time I did, pretty much all the Arialbot characters had been discontinued, and I've only been able to acquire Silverbolt and Air Raid. The latter costing the most of the two. Did find Quickslinger, but I ain't paying £184 for him.
I'm mad with Hasbro's decision to replace Slingshot/Quickslinger with Alpha Bravo and Wildrider/Brakeneck with Offroad and to release them as expensive online exclusives. I would have been fine if they were the same price as the other with less paint apps (as i am on a budget) but nope Hasbro wasn't taking any of that.
I know im having that trouble right now. Im trying my best to find someone that would trade those figures because on amazon the prices are just something I refuse to pay

Since alpha bravo has no story in the comics besides being a nonCombining aerialbot I pretty much imagined a story in 5 seconds that might make u like him more .imagine alpha bravo being a clos friend of slingshots who after slingshot was killed he was chosen to replace him leaving alpha bravo with huge shoes to fill and him having some sort of character ark of him feeling like some worthless replacement until he realizes he isn't useless and somehow combines with the others to form red visored superion and defeat whatever combiner thy were fighting

hello again, well quickslinger, your probably out of luck because at bbts and tfsource they are sold out so you might have to end up geting quickslinger on amazon. but wait there is plan b, there will soon be gift sets that will have the official teams for superion, menasor and bruticus and all will sport g2 paint jobs. if your wondering where's defensor, who knows. the original g2 defensor was cancelled along with the original g2 menasor. they both never saw the light of day.
well....if I may, Plan C, the one that's going to happen if I never find a quickslinger is continue customizing the firefly I bought I intend on getting Bruticus, blast off has Quickslingers head, so that's getting painted, because there is no WAY the quickslinger head is even CLOSE to blast off's. i think the closest thing that comes to it is the head for first aid. i only have one of that figure though, so i'm using the spare Fireflight head I have from the custom slingshot I'm making. i think it'll all work out to be honest
well i would agree with you, unless your planning to change the vehicle mode entirely. just changing and re-painting the head will do nothing to the figure in terms of aesthetics. honestly i could care less about the explanation the comic book gives pertaining to blast off's alt mode. i mean let's face it, blast off ain't no air strike and vortex ain't no whirlwind, so at this point if anyone can do bruticus right, let warbotron at it. or unless they release 3rd party upgrades for blast off and vortex not add ons but new figures built from the ground up that work with the other combiner wars figures from the set just like Mixmaster and if Dr.Wu can do that, he can do blast off and vortex hell even frickin Quickslinger and Break-Neck RIGHT THE FIRST TIME AND EVERY TIME!!!!!!
maybe a possible plan d. okay now i know the g2 re-paints look out of hand (and yes, i saw the comment you left on the pic of G2 Bruticus on facebook) but this is the next best thing to get an official team for superion and menasor unless you want to spend $120+ to get the entire set from unite warriors instead of hunting down these figures one by one. this is why waiting for the g2 repainted gift set is a good idea. yes the paint work looks crazy and stupid but at least you'll have an official team with no alpha bravo or off road. or in addition, they finally decide to give us superion and menasor as they were for maybe a commemorative line with on point paint from the cartoon and AN OFFICIAL TEAM!!!!!!!

i tried this on a firefly. the white didn't really go well over red. how does it work over brown?

My MotorMaster has a gimped elbow and can't hold its own weight(On top of the other host of problems MM is known to have), and my Hotspot has two left front hip plates. I'm skipping the Combaticons because I have the MBC Military Titans, but if I got the CW Bruticus, I have no doubt that something would be wrong with that thing too.

Since alpha bravo has no story in the comics besides being a nonCombining aerialbot I pretty much imagined a story in 5 seconds that might make u like him more .imagine alpha bravo being a clos friend of slingshots who after slingshot was killed he was chosen to replace him leaving alpha bravo with huge shoes to fill and him having some sort of character ark of him feeling like some worthless replacement until he realizes he isn't useless and somehow combines with the others to form red visored superion and defeat whatever combiner thy were fighting

RytimusPrimeReviews my own story is that it starts off kinda like yours but slingshot turned out to be alive. He said a few things to alpha bravo which caused alpha bravo to g rouge and later become vortex of the combaticons.

hello again, well quickslinger, your probably out of luck because at bbts and tfsource they are sold out so you might have to end up geting quickslinger on amazon. but wait there is plan b, there will soon be gift sets that will have the official teams for superion, menasor and bruticus and all will sport g2 paint jobs. if your wondering where's defensor, who knows. the original g2 defensor was cancelled along with the original g2 menasor. they both never saw the light of day.
well....if I may, Plan C, the one that's going to happen if I never find a quickslinger is continue customizing the firefly I bought
I intend on getting Bruticus, blast off has Quickslingers head, so that's getting painted, because there is no WAY the quickslinger head is even CLOSE to blast off's. i think the closest thing that comes to it is the head for first aid. i only have one of that figure though, so i'm using the spare Fireflight head I have from the custom slingshot I'm making. i think it'll all work out to be honest
well i would agree with you, unless your planning to change the vehicle mode entirely. just changing and re-painting the head will do nothing to the figure in terms of aesthetics. honestly i could care less about the explanation the comic book gives pertaining to blast off's alt mode. i mean let's face it, blast off ain't no air strike and vortex ain't no whirlwind, so at this point if anyone can do bruticus right, let warbotron at it. or unless they release 3rd party upgrades for blast off and vortex not add ons but new figures built from the ground up that work with the other combiner wars figures from the set just like Mixmaster and if Dr.Wu can do that, he can do blast off and vortex hell even frickin Quickslinger and Break-Neck RIGHT THE FIRST TIME AND EVERY TIME!!!!!!
maybe a possible plan d. okay now i know the g2 re-paints look out of hand (and yes, i saw the comment you left on the pic of G2 Bruticus on facebook) but this is the next best thing to get an official team for superion and menasor unless you want to spend $120+ to get the entire set from unite warriors instead of hunting down these figures one by one. this is why waiting for the g2 repainted gift set is a good idea. yes the paint work looks crazy and stupid but at least you'll have an official team with no alpha bravo or off road. or in addition, they finally decide to give us superion and menasor as they were for maybe a commemorative line with on point paint from the cartoon and AN OFFICIAL TEAM!!!!!!!
