I discovered your channel about a month ago and since then I doubled my time practicing cause it’s more fun and I bought a new electric guitar. I took all of my extra inspiration from your content. Thank you so much!!
Kudos on the new book, Blue. I just picked up the Kindle version and it makes a great first impression, lots covered. I always enjoy doing "refresher courses" once in a while in order to see how different people tackle certain concepts, as well as fill some gaps where I can. We all have them. Keep up the awesome work! Your vids never disappoint 🎸
@@GuitarLessonsVancouver As a lefty sometimes things like octaves make more sense when I can look at fretboard images to be able to swap it in my brain😂
Dang, Blue! You are on fire with this lesson! Talk about bang for the buck value! So glad I'm a patreon 😊 I gotta stop watching your videos when I'm away from my guitar!
The 'Empty.. Fill it out.' Strumming metaphor is BRILLIANT! Strumming is my weakness... next to Arpeggios... and Chords... and Scales... and Rhythm.😉 have a good Holiday
Blue, that is a very motivating lesson like all the ones you make. And your sound is so nice. Are you using a Fender Custom Shop? What brand of strings and what gage of those strings are you using? Congrats for your new book. I will be ordering it plus both guitar soloing like a pro. You are a MASTER TEACHER and a very good musician. Thanks for helping a lot of us on our guitar journey.
For anyone interested, I signed up for Mr. Morris's Patreon, and for 16 dollars a month, it's well worth the money. I learn something new from every video. And no, I don't know this guy from Adam. Peace.
As someone that's in that late beginner / early intermediate stage, I feel like I get a bit confused with playing "rhythm" guitar. When you're adding in all those fills and switching positions, does that not fall more into lead? Or is this what you're demonstrating more like during a jam session or perhaps 12 bar blues?
Thank you! Great to hear! Re: Zach's question... it really a matter of style and taste, and choosing the right options for the song. Some songs can have a busier rhythm guitar style, some songs maybe not.

Good example!
