I've not been the biggest Xiaomi fan recently but the photos look incredible on this. And with the screen being pretty nice as well, it looks awesome overall.
I really liked both 14 ultra and x100 pro , both have very distinct characteristic looks in terms of photography . Finally these brands realised there's no point in chasing iPhone/Samsung style photos when they can create their own characteristic look .
I've heard the 14 Ultra no longer looks natural, but many of your shots look deliciously textured to me! Metal, wooden furniture, skin tones, do not loose their properties to the sharpening or color boosting. Do they?
They look photographic, if that makes sense. It's giving classic photography, so luscious and rich in contrast. What makes this fail on Samsungs and work on the 14 Ultra is a combination of Xiaomi's sensor choices and less over sharpening. It's definitely a look, but for me at least, it's a good look.

A big issue of the 13 Ultra seemed to be bad high volume recording, and filtering of ambient noise (i.e. traffic, beach waves ...) Your video looks just fine but would be nice to test this out.
At 03:05 and 10:50 that’s the audio quality from the phone in a public space that was a little windy and near a main road. I was impressed with the audio to be honest, even in other tests with more background noise. Hope that helps!

Hi, which one would you consider "best in class" regarding screen dimming? Honor Magic6 Pro? This phone looks very solid on paper with DC and PWM @ 1920 Hz dimming though.
Variable aperture is limited from 1.6-4.0 and only on the main lens and only in Pro mode. For the record. I use the camera now for a few weeks amd can only compare to my iphone 14 pro max. Night mode and video are better on the iphone. Zoom, makro and photo quality are better on the Xiomi. I like to use the photography kit. The battery of the camara and the grip are not great. When the grip battery is empty you cannot use the grip buttons.
The mics are at the top, bottom, and within the camera bump, and all are exposed with the case, however the bottom mic is covered when you add the grip. I wonder if the grip supplements it with an additional mic... I will ask Xiaomi and get back to you. Thanks for the question! Basil
If you compare this one and xperia 1 vi. Which has more natural photo and video picture? Which one has more pro settings for shooting? And which has better quality image?
As much as I prefer the battery life and UI of the Honor Magic 6 Pro, I'd pick the Xiaomi 14 Ultra, largely because of the camera grip. I can't stress enough how it changed the way I take pictures. I also found the cameras to be more reliable - I always just knew the kind of shot I would get. The Magic 6 Pro was a bit more hit and miss for me.

IP68 refers to dust and water, not display hardiness. Also, the camera has a photographic look that is more classical and less computational.
