@caelanmurie-gq2sj agreed! I've found that 2 days of S&C a week for combat sports is what works best for me. I just combine explosive sets with heavy lifting set with AMRAP sets - 2 sets explosive, 2 sets max str, 2 set AMRAP. One Lower body exercise then an upper body.
I don’t understand why leg power and impulse are back to back workouts days. Why wouldn’t you do leg strength on day one and speed/athlete on day three?
A lot of field sports take time to play so the idea is to be ready in the last 10 or 15 minutes of the game still able to perform. If you can deal with fatigue, you can keep playing
Quick question for Dane and his team, for an athletic power hitting catcher in baseball who is also a RB, green light to train like RB1 and shoot for RB1 D1 benchmarks??? Context… We are seeing direct correlations between exit velo’s / pop times and his SLS, bench press, and Olympic lifts…figure why not keep hammering if it’s working🤷♂️ #cultivateyourpower
Heres one he made for bowlers if you wanna check this out (Its on his second channel called Peak Strength btw): th-cam.com/video/eG2QsM4oQws/w-d-xo.html
@@HitanshKinger Ok I gotchu. I can hook you up with a basic program if you want me too. I'll just make it on a google doc and share the link with you (If you want me to ofc).

Strength is how much force you can produce. Power or as you are saying explosiveness is how fast you can generate that peak force. Power is basically strength + speed
Power is force over time. Explosiveness is related to power where strength is mainly about max force production. Dunking requires a lot of power and squatting a lot of weight requires strength. You can squat a lot of weight without being able to jump high.
@@PeepTheHuesYes, as strength expression takes a lot longer time to execute than power. Power is supposed to be max output&control in the shortest amount of time. I enjoy Dane's proposal to call power/speed training impulse training. A whole bunch of muscles are firing in a specific order&direction, on impulse. Powerlifting and weightlifting should've swapped names decades ago 😂😂😂
Am i correct to understand that the program you suggest here for a basketball player is for in-season and that off-season training would be a bit different?
Can someone help me. I’m trying to build a new routine. Where I’m trying to workout be good for ⚽️. In addition, trying to be the most fit. Would appreciate it.

@@HighcaloriegrapplingWhat’s your rep range for the explosive sets?
@CountDracubot 2s or 3s. Never more. At about 60% 1RM.
I love your stuff! I can never find any love for fencers, specifically Sabre. Would love to see your take on it.
as a 6'4" basketball player, im doing my single leg squats right now while I watch.
Can you please make a video on how to train to get into special units in the army?
i would go to actual people that focus on that such as Valhalla VFT not people who focus on athletes
Should Fighters also train this way?

Is there an actual difference between strength and explosiveness from a muscle standpoint?
