justin pfeiff he is not infinitely better than maynard you idiot, maynard is probably the best SOLOIST ever and Wayne probably the best LEAD PLAYER ever. Maynard was very expressive and musical while wayne plays everything clean with virtually no mistakes
@@trumpetvideos4948 dude... he was just expressing his opinion. I'd take Wayne over Maynard too. He's not discrediting the man. No need to be like that. People have to respect each other and their opinions.
Da'Joun Dotson i just read over the comment i said i honestly don’t know why i was mad lol, they’re both amazing, and wayne is a better lead player. I think i was just in a bad mood or something
My cousin was in jazz band in high school after he saw Mr.Bergerson in person and when they played this song he got to play the trumpet solo and could almost play all of it in his junior or senior year! He still listens to this song about 4 years later! It makes me happy that he still loves this music 😊
Alayna Tagtow Wayne Bergeron came to our school and this was one of the charts we played with him. I have a video from the day up on my channel but I unfortunately do not have any clips from this song. He is a really insane trumpet player and we were so lucky to have him come to play with us
i was the drummer for this song when he was a guest artist. Best experience in my life. Also played Maynard and Waynard, High clouds with a chance of Wayne, First impression, You go to my head, When you wish upon a star and many more. It all sounds better in person.
Hey Wayne flinkBo Dink. And Rirnt Bo Dirnt hey Wayne if you remember this little sentence there then you know that I'm telling the truth this Kevin Scully we all had the times of our lives back in lynwood California favorite line you know that line that was Mike Portugal's favorite line I'm going to find out where you're playing around here someday I'm retired now and I'm going to come see you play all right talking to Wayne Kevin Scully
Oh wow, that makes it even cooler (even though it already was way cool). Only thing is, it makes the short stops in the trumpets sound just a little too short imo
Hey Wayne this is Kevin Scully I went to high school with you you know me Mike Portugal Keith freeze me and you hanging out back in the day just want to say hey man I hear your music is awesome it's everything I always knew it would be but I think it's even more yeah I'm still alive I'll see You someday maybe where is Mike Portugal living these days I want that 70 split bumper Camaro you still got it hahaha bye for Kevin Scully
Wayne Bergeron would be that trumpet player. The guys range is insane!

JohnD it’s Wayne Bergeron. Taught by Maynard but infinitely better

Man Andy Martin's tone is so bright
1.25x speed is perfection
Wow you're right, it really makes the song way better.
true
Whenever I do that it makes the bass sound awful
Good call, the tempo is a little pokey.

Who’s the tenor soloist
Dank_Shag Eric Merienthal
Eli Wyatt is it actually? I don’t really hear any marienthal style licks during the solo hmmm
U know, he may not have played tenor on that album, maybe alto? He was definitely on that album tho.
Yes, I can hear him playing lead on this chart so I doubt he played the tenor solo. Probably Dan Higgins
