      Toll Free Traveller if you r planning for Tawang, do stop by Tezpur. u have to pass through Tezpur enroute Tawang. i stay in Tezpur and we could have a meet up at my place

    • @TollFreeTraveller

      Pankaj Adhyapak thanks a lot. Tempura and Tawang are definitely on my list of places to go. That sounds like a great idea. Do stay in touch.

    rohith, i was feeling quit low in the past few days, related to youtube growth on my channel n stuff. i saw channels with no so inspiring + copied + stop gap arranged videos and those r and will keep garnering views n subs,
    i work on my every episode as if it the only episode i have, some might see and most won't.
    i wondered and questioned, does quality episodes succeed ?
    i do movie reviews with spoofs, trying my best to make my audience laugh n smile in all my episodes.
    after watching u, ur growth graph, ur episodes, ur complete journey as a traveller / youtuber / vlogger, i felt encouraged, motivated and lifted myself up that we just have to do things honestly without worrying much abt exposure. whosoever watches our content, if 100% of those feel content and entertained, then the motive is reached.
    thank u for motivating me in a way, inspiring me with ur simplicity, thank u so very much !

TH-cam has been an incredible journey for me so far, mostly because of all the wonderful people (including you) that are watching, appreciating and sharing the content. You said it yourself, it's important to do the best you can and do it honestly. There are several thousands of people on this platform who recognise and appreciate the efforts that you put it, and I've been fortunate enough to receive their kindness and appreciation. I wish you the very best with your channel and hope you stay motivated to keep doing what makes you happy.

    Pulling to the right - by all means re-align the rear wheel but first re-torque the swinging arm bolt to 70Nm = 7.00 kg.m (about 50-ft.lb). It is very easy to do but do use a torque wrench, this is not one that can be guessed.
    Mine did this and would not behave until I re-torqued the swinging arm. It did not take much, which shows bike handling is is very sensitive to this adjustment. Enfields are notorious for loosening bolts.
    Tyre pressures - Avon (the stock tyres on export Classic) say 27psi front, 29psi rear (RE say 18psi front, wrong) and increase 2-4psi for load (pillion/touring). Handling, turning-in and stopping is greatly improved.

    • @TollFreeTraveller
      @TollFreeTraveller  7 ปีที่แล้ว

      Thanks for that detailed comment, Jeff. I did adjust the awing arms as well as true the wheels in order to get the bike to run more straight. Tyre pressure makes a huge difference too. You're clearly a person who really knows his bikes (and the things that Enfields are notorious for, hahaha). Thanks again for the inputs.

    • @jeffslade1892
      @jeffslade1892 7 ปีที่แล้ว

      No amount of adjusting the rear wheel snail cams made a difference until I re-torqued the swinging arm. I was re-torquing the engine mounts (which need doing to kill vibration) and thought to have a go at the swinging arm. I was surprised how loose the stiff-nut felt and how quickly it came to the correct torque.
      The motor pulls the chain which pulls the wheel which pulls the swinging arm off kilter. Don't just tighten the swinging arm bolt "by hand" but use a torque wrench or you can deform the plastic bushes.
      70Nm is from the RE Service Manual, it may look like a big number but it's only about half that needed on a car wheel nut, it is not a lot and a man can easily over-do it with one hand. Do Use A Torque Wrench :)
      I only needed about an extra 1/3 turn but after that I was able to realign the rear wheel properly and it wasn't as offset as it was before, and the bike stopped making little random changes of direction, it feels a lot more confident and planted on the road.

    • @TollFreeTraveller
      @TollFreeTraveller  7 ปีที่แล้ว

      I guess I will need to find myself a torque wrench then. Thanks for the information, Jeff!

    If you really plan to visit North East, you should be there before the Monsoon. I hope it'll be a blast. :)

      I know. That would be ideal, but it appears that the NE is going to have rain from the end of April itself. I guess I will just take my chances.

    Very pleasant to see someone take care of the bike so much !
    Some person once told me
    take care of the vehicle so that the vehicle will take care of you very well as well
    its nice to see that u just dint give it off to the service center and got away with that part !
    just wanted to ask how do u manage the cost !
    of all the rides an all

    • @TollFreeTraveller
      @TollFreeTraveller  7 ปีที่แล้ว

      Thanks, Ansul. Yeah, learning to work on your bike can come in handy while you are on tour. Plus, when you fix things yourself you know you will do the best job that you know how to do, unlike the service centres. I travel on the tightest of budgets currently.

    Nice to see the behind the scenes video and to hear about your NE plans. Good luck with the ride; it's in my wish list but looks like this year is tough with a work move. And is that the RE service center in OMR, near Perungudi? Looks a bit familiar from dropping a friend there a few years ago. 😊

      @TollFreeTraveller  7 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      I was wondering where you had vanished too. Hahaha. Thanks for the good wishes, man. It sucks that work is going to be taking precedence for you for now. Hope you do travel anyway. And yes, the OMR centre that handles far too many bikes every day.
