Thanks for this review man, because of it I have decided to pickup my own Logitech g923 for Xbox and I’ve gotta say I’m loving it. Although the price was a bit steep I’m using it probably 8 hours a week because of work but I gotta say it’s an amazing beginner wheel for someone such as myself looking to get into sim racing.
I have the new G923 on a PS4 racing on Gran Tourismo. Brilliant feeling in game, very realistic. Don’t forgot to mention the brake pedal upgrade, also way more realistic.
@Le-Johnny I got it on eBay. The seller said it was Used and had some “signs of wear”. But it came in the original box, had original paperwork and sticker. The plastic covering the G logo in the middle of the wheel was still on. Someone probably opened it and was like, “this ain’t it homie” and sold it. I don’t see any signs of wear. This thing is as good as brand new. One hell of a steal.
The only one real advantage of the G923's over the G29/G920's as far as I'm concerned is the FFB deadzone removal (if that is really to be believed.. I hope that is the case)
idk why they didnt ad that little vibrating electrict motor into pedals to have vibrations there to, thats not some big investment, and about that T-force, the ETS2 have the option to ad engine vibration to wheel, i was use it on g27...idk does it feel is the same but i like it
I think Fanatec products are made a good standard usually (but have expensive accessories when you're locked into their hardware), but the after-sales customer support can be spotty. Some people seem to have no problems getting help from Fanatec, and others can have a terrible time.

I bit of a negative nancy ocmment from myself but recently where I live, in Canada, dealers have popped up for multiple manufacturers. simulation1.ca for example. so sim cube, thrustmaster and fanatec is available for assistance... thanks to guys like you who brought more brand awareness and hobbyist lifestyle!
The Logitech G29 is a very good wheel, especially now as you should find it cheaper due to the launch of the G923 and overall the G29 does a very good job and the pedal set is decent as well. If you are going to be playing a LOT, then look to the Thrustmaster T300 RS GT as that is still sensibly priced and is a decent step up from the G29....
Trueforce is just a marketing gimmick so people feel they need it for Next gen ...nothing more...i have homemade true force , a small Logitech woofer is screwed to the back of my rig behind the wheelbase and I feel the engine idle and rev up and down ...IT REALLY WORKS , and I cant race without it now ...(rig needs to be wood like mine to transfer the bass sufficiently to the base of the wheel and the wheel itself......the "butt kicker" attachment gave me the idea to try this ha ha
I have the g920 bought January 2022 to be honest the g923 is exactly the same same motors both work from ball bearings I think it's just a gimmick to get u to spend your hard earned cash the saying goes if isn't broke don't fixit
@@GreekSaiyan There are not any compatible handbrakes for consoles. On PC there are many options as they plug into any spare USB socket, which isn't possible with consoles as they won't recognise them. This is a popular handbrake for PC's th-cam.com/video/dyxRyXr8QnI/w-d-xo.html
The extra $300 gets you a superior setup, so it really depends on your budget and your interest in racing games. But I will say racing wheel hardware prices are a fair reflection of their performance.
Hi, nice review. I just bought my G923 recently and I love Grid. I also find the brake pedal (middle pedal) to be very stiff and hard to step down, so I configured the clutch pedal (left-most pedal) as the brake instead, not sure if this is common. As for Trueforce, I couldn't really tell if it was the generic force feedback or vibration, but it just felt GOOD. Very happy with this wheel.

I just bought the G923 for $198! I'm so excited.

I got mine yesterday, playing ACC i thought it was broken hahaha glad it's not. I do love the effects of the trueforce however

It spins faster when I press the gas it seems like it wasnt here before and the vibration is a little less

In a sense, it is the same concept, but a bass shaker vibration feels different.

It should just work automatically, there's no option to turn the RPM LED on or off.
