i literally never ever used a swear word in my life. for over 250 hours of me playing this game, since 2017, i've always had level 5 honor. around a week ago, i got lots of people who swore in turkish in my game. They did it non-stop, they fed intentionally and they refused to play the game. I said "classical turkish behaviour" and "why are you swearing" in chat. I got banned for 14 days "due to multiple reports of abusive chat from other players". I did not receive any "player got banned" notifications. When i made an appeal to blizzard asking the chat history that got me banned, they literally left me on read. I love this game. Definitely moderated by real people.
@@AntivenomOW I am turkish myself. We are notorious for swearing in public chats, in own language. He gets to swear to everyone's family but when I point him out I get banned? I think that's unjustified.

I am not defending my own actions, my point is that I am mad that Blizzard support didn't even give me a reason for my ban and the person who is swearing did not get banned. I am not xenophobic, I am a misanthrope.

It's a fake or bug report message. I get this message almost every time I log in to the game, and that's coming from someone who rarely reports. Almost every match, I encounter someone who wants to report me for silly reasons, but nothing happens, so it's fine. I think they take your account history in to consideration before taking an action.
Yeah I got banned for 15 days for swearing in the BLURRED chat I’ve NEVER been banned before in any of my games before or even muted and let me tell you it really made me mad all because I told my team after they asked me “how was y’all’s day” and I replied “kinda shitty” completely pisses me off.
Every single person I have ever reported has gotten "actions" taken against their account. I am not exaggerating. It's probably at a few dozen currently. Perhaps it's just that everyone I report really deserves it, but that seems like too much of a coincidence to be true. Maybe it's because I'm level 5 endorsement? I think that factors into it. I have been toxic many times and never gotten so much as a warning.

I played two games a couple weeks ago, and someone was talking shit, so I said, "Just stop and play the game, please," then "Nice teammates...", got silenced, made a ticket for it, and they said it couldn't be lifted because I actually did something bad. I asked Reddit, and all they said was, "You had to say something bad because they don't silence you unless you actually curse at someone." But I know for a fact I didn't...
tbf, you've got both supports on objective when you have a boatload of space ahead. you'll be able to push the robot the same speed with just one person, so theres no point in having both supports and a dps sit on it. you don't even need to push further in, your tank already has the space, you'd win simply by being there.
ive never received a warning when it comes to bad language or comms abuse. sure i went afk here and there, and i really mean that, I'm competitive so i try to never leave a game mid-way, but when i log on, and see a 14 day ban, with no warning, it makes me hate this game and its strange moderators even more. horrible company.
in a world of f-bombs and other punk-ass acronyms it's so refreshing to hear someone to put thoughts in actual words, so I subbed and wouldn't mind to hear more from you, til they'll ban you here too

Today (1am), I played for a bit before my nightshift and I just came back and got a message again that my report has been taken into action. I will stop reporting because I think its so stupid if people are actually getting banned. I will keep you updated in a week or two if I get any other message about someone getting banned. Because I never saw that screen before I reported people. But it is true that we will never really know what happens to the other player when we get that screen (if they actually got banned or muted). With Blizzard, we never know lol they could actually be Karens that bans you for being even a bit toxic

I played this game for over 2000 hours. this is the best time to stop playing the game. But sunk cost fallacy….. I get it; I know you put in the hours. But this game doesn’t deserve your hours anymore. Here, have a cookie 🍪 and think on it.
Man, moderating this online game they made sure seems tough, kinda like it's an issue literally every online game faces, particularly competitive ones like team-based shooters. But hey, banning everyone seems like a great way to revitalise the playerbase of banned players.
I was raised during the original MW2 era so I always considered banter to be a fun part of competitive gaming but everyone is so soft nowadays (not saying you, I'm talking about people who report because they got their poor lil feelings hurt). Im also not talking about being racist or telling people bad things but just at the end of the match calling each other trash and roast. Its part of the game and we all have bad games so we all experience it but some will talk sh*t then report you. Its so weird to me.

I swear so much I never been ban but console players seem to not get ban. Plus it's fine ow2 not truly competitive anymore.
