I went in an icebath for 12 mins (first time ever) was shivering so hard I bit my tongue....twice. This is why I'm lisping. Every word of this hurt, but not even a dodgy ice bath can stop me trying to get you guys full time faster
I am on the cusp of making the leap.. but I have 5 kids and I am terrified. Honestly, i'll probably end up waiting another year or two because that's the way my brain works. I make almost as much on here as I do at my day job but I know if I had all my energy focused on it... I could be making much more. But i'll keep watching your videos and tip toeing toward making that leap. Thank you again for inching me closer and closer!
That's a scary decision. What's the one thing you could do to double your income via TH-cam? Focus on that more than anything else and you'll find it happens
You said in one of your videos “you have to put some broccoli in the hamburger meat” referring to education in entertainment and I loved that so much it inspired me to make a finance/investing channel devoted to teaching people fundamental analysis but in a more entertaining way. I think you’re awesome ed. Keep doing what you’re doing on both channels 👍
I was sad not to be accepted into your recent program…but man-o-man…you provide so much valuable content for free! I’m just going to keep learning from this amazingly valuable content you provide. Thank you!!!
I didn't want to sign you up for something that meant you ended up with a product that wasn't going to work for you. I massively appreciate your application and trust
I am full time with 11k subscribers honestly the sky is the limit if I could crack this code. I barely make it but its better than working and I know eventually I'll get ahead
my main channel supa gaming is also usually just watch by 2 or 3k view but because of my old video still get watch till this day, i can still full time on youtube but this year i'm trying to make different type of videos on my second channel and hope i can get at least 5k or 10k per video in a few months, basically everyday now i just editing or watch other people video to get inspiration for better videos :)
Those stakes are keeping me at my day job. I'm making so much more on TH-cam but I also have a wife, 5 kids, and a day job that gives us amazing insurance. It's tough... I want to make that jump.
After watching your "how to write scripts" video I can't help but notice all the techniques you taught there like the hook after the hook as in "but before I tell you how to do that let me tell you..." and I get all excited like "damn he got me" 😂
I really like your videos, you can't imagine. Film Booth and creator booth really helped me to get more into the right direction of content and how to create it. My goal is to be fulltime content creator and grow an audience, hence I uploaded my first video yesterday, with the goal to being consistent and delivering relating and educational content! Thank you for motivating and straight up giving facts and knowledge for all of us!
I love that little animation pack you created! I use those graphics all the time when I edit our film reviews. Thanks for all the hard work and advice, Christy
Just getting started, this gives me hope! I know I have a road ahead of me, but it’s nice to see stuff like this to see what it could lead to. Keep the great content coming!
Thanks for reminding me to update my Channel links Ed. Well I went full-time and moved to Brasil with no revenue yet. But I'm glad I made the switch to work on MY goals and not from a random corporate boss
Great video Ed! I don’t think I’m ready to go full time yet. At least not in the way you describe. I have a viewership, and just hit 10k subs. But my situation is a bit different. I’m a professor and the credibility I have on my channel largely stems from my position. It has created a lot of opportunities for me, where I have been invited across the country and even internationally to give talks on my work. Half the people inviting me found me through TH-cam. I also make a decent income, and I have great work/life balance. So I’m reluctant to really throw that away. On the other hand, I have 3 months of the year, where I am not responsible to the university. I dont necessarily get paid by them, so I could fill up that time with full time TH-cam content. Though my niche is less active over those months. What do you think of full time for a quarter of the year? How would that change things?
You could batch produce content for the time of year when things are busier and then double down, or id probably come up with an offer in that time to monetise the channel in other ways for when its busy
@@creator-booth that's a good idea, I'll give it some thought. I do have whole series of videos based on research and lectures that I could comprehensively batch produce. As well as advice videos. cheers, ed!
Hi Ed, long time viewer here. Im torn between convertkit and mailerlite. It bothered me that you can't create a mandatory checkbox with convertkit...those can be useful for mailing lists, especially in the EU. GDPR is such an arse.
Hi Ed, follow you across my multiple channels and I've been a creator since 2010. I have a huge audience and I've done well over 6 figures in revenue through selling courses. I found success very early then became complacent. New faces came on the scene and my inferiority complex hit me so hard it destroyed my love for my niche and I basically quit. I had set up drip mailers, funnels, communities etc. The business ran on pretty much auto pilot, but eventually, died. I'm now at the stage where I have huge regrets, a lot of skills, a lot of ambition, but not a niche to go into. I'm in a spiral of research phase that I don't quite know how to get out of. After some health concerns, I'm now focusing on my mental health and fitness and researching for a limited number of hours per day. Usually in the morning. I love what you've brought to TH-cam and your content is exactly the type I'd like to have created back when I started. Any ideas would be greatly appreciated! Keep doing what you're doing, it's awesome. I'd also love to see more film booth! Dan.
Great overall explanation. Only confusing part was you 1, 2, 3 breakdown which I believe you meant #1 IDENTIFY 1 Big Problem, #2 SOLVE The Problem, #3 Keep It Simple. Maybe its my US english but solve and work-out are rather synonymous.
In some ways... I realized that... other languages are sorta untapped.... and even then adding proper subtitles... people do want to watch them, but yeah great tips.
How can you go fill time on an entertainment-based channel? I’m not selling a product, I want to share my love of horror games, a genre I’ve grown up with. Will I need to reach insane numbers that my niche might not be able to hit?
As a young entrepreneur who recently ventured into content creation, I would love to do it full-time but my views say otherwise, I still wonder if I will ever get monetisation. Seems like a huge ask.
Love this video!! Also super small world as I’ve been following you for awhile now and also worked 1:1 with Daniel from Dark Label. He’s incredible and made a huge impact on my life and how I operate. I think it’s also important to point out taxes though.. I don’t know why, but it seems like everyone overlooks that in videos like this. If you’re monthly expenses are 5k, you need to make your take home 5k, which means you need to make more than that from your business. Percentages will differ for everyone, so you gotta figure it out for yourself along with operating expenses and such, but it’s an important piece of the equation.
Also I hope this doesn’t come off as overly critical - genuinely love this video and I’ve gotten SO much value from you, Ed. Just genuinely curious why this is so often left out and what your thoughts are on this. Just looking for clarity :)
No didn't come across that way, it's a very fair point. Im here to inspire people, the nitty gritty details just get in the way of getting people to take action so leaving them out is often intentional
I went in an icebath for 12 mins (first time ever) was shivering so hard I bit my tongue....twice. This is why I'm lisping. Every word of this hurt, but not even a dodgy ice bath can stop me trying to get you guys full time faster
Thank you for your efforts, master! Love these videos, they're giving me all kinds of ideas I want to put in practice VERY soon xD
😂 that's insane Ed, congrats on not dying of pneumonia 🎉
Oh! I thought you were wearing a retainer! 🤣 Wishing you a speedy recovery, Ed! Loving your work 💪🏻
Mate I sound like that all the time, thanks for the excuse! 😂
I'm so glad you explained; I was really worried about you (and also thought I might be hallucinating!) 😂 Thanks for the video 😎
There was so much info in this video! I'll need to watch again with a pen and paper.

Thank you for consistent, quality content... 32K subs and counting!
You give some serious gems consistently, thank you!
Great advice Ed

Another BIG nugget ❤
Keep going man, you'll make it full time one day
😂😂

Another slice of Ed gold, you're spoiling us fella!!! 👍👍👍
More to come!
I just had a 1 on 1 with Ed’s colleague Aaron and it was SO helpful! Support this man!
Glad to hear it!!
So good man! The calendar bit and the workshop bit, pure fire 💪
Cheers Will!!
Everyone checked their Discord at precisely 2:10
Finally, a channel where the advice is to keep it simple. I'm already implementing some of the advice and excited to watch more of your videos!
Those stakes are keeping me at my day job. I'm making so much more on TH-cam but I also have a wife, 5 kids, and a day job that gives us amazing insurance. It's tough... I want to make that jump.

Yup. exact system. Great spot
Out of inquisitiveness, How many shorts views do you need?
Hey Ed, I thoroughly enjoy your videos. Please never quit TH-cam 😅
Other TH-cam strategy channels are great but this is the only one that makes me think of my channel like a business
Your Convert Kit affiliate link is not working! You need to revise your description!
Hmm weird it never works!!
Worked for me. No problem. Thanks Ed!
So many PewiiePies around, I'm kinda trippin rn.
Anyways great content Pewdie nr.#???
Thanks! 💪
Thanks for having me, Ed 😁
Any time!
Ed, not a value add comment but just wanted to appreciate you - you've become one of my faves. Cheers.
Thank you!

I recently js started my channel, wish me luck
Ha I just realized I have watched every video on this channel lol
Just getting started, this gives me hope! I know I have a road ahead of me, but it’s nice to see stuff like this to see what it could lead to.
Keep the great content coming!
TH-cam Educator GOAT
I know, right??! SOOOOOO much value!!!

You are always providing great content! I have been shooting myself in the foot 🤦🏾♂️
Pls make a video on how to pick a niche.
Sorry but $1000 on food?!
I have a problem Ed... you just introduced me to another BBQ channel and now I'm gonna get less work done on my wifes channel. Thanks a lot. LOL

*Love* your work Ed
Unfortunately I barely clear $200 a year with TH-cam so I won't be going full time any time soon 🤣

I missed these videos. Good to have you back!

i wish i could apply these sumhow to my gaming channel? and its very niche lol

So why do this? Why help creators to get to their riches? What's in it for you?
Inspiring content by the way :)
Thats easy with youtube monetization, Russian youtubers are at such a disadvantage
Ed's making gainz... all kindz of gainz
3k per video 😂 I was too hopeful. 😅
