I absolutely LOVE this show and the Pat McAffee show. It is a critical show on NFL among educated smart jocks who talk uncensored. Chris & Pat talk jock locker room language! I LOVE it!!!
I think Minshew's a great leader, teamates love him and good enough at that salary especially! Get 2 more at lower salary with experience and a young future star. 60 million a year for a qb will not get you a great team. As a Ravens fan I've had no confidence they'll even get to a Superbowl with Jackson. Ravens won 2 superbowls with lower paid qb.When they paid Flacco, 9 players left. Exception Exception Mahomes is, but how many are like him ? Others need paid and you can collect alot of great players from other teams that can't do it..Great lineman make good running backs. Concentrate on an elite defense and you're always in it. But paying 4 times more for a receiver than the qb is nuts.
It took me nearly 2 years to get used to Chris, on utube and TV now I think he's the best analyst out there. How the feck did that happen?. Good luck with that Amed! Great show as usual guys.
Chris Simms: Kenny Pickett can make every throw Chris Simms: Kenny Pickett loses control of the ball when he throws hard and he can’t throw side arm 😂😂😂
The reason Pickett wears the glove is because he has very small hands. 9 inches is the limit. If you have hands smaller than 9 inches you are probably going to have some Problems and Picketts hands are below 9 inches. Burrow and Goff both have 9 inch hands and they are the highest paid And the 2nd highest paid QBs in football so you can excel with 9 inch hands. Picket has 8.5 inch hands. And another thjng about Pickett that I think matters is his Wonderlic score of 17. If the rest did not matter or wasn’t at all important then why do they offer it? A score of 20 indicates average intelligence. Pickett got a 17. Lamar got a 13. Tua got a 13. Practically every other QB in the NFL that took the test got at least a 20. Kyler got a 20. Baker got a 25. Drew Bree’s got a 28. Mahomes got a 24. Joe Burrow got a 34. Tom Brady for a 34. Aron Rodgers got a 33. Intelligence matters. If it didn’t they wouldn’t offer the test. Teddy Bridgewater also wore a glove but his hands are 9.25 inches. So in my opinion a minimum hand size of 9 inches is absolutely necessary. Name just one QB who has less Than 9 inch hands that has been successful in the NFL.
lol. I'm not a Brock Purdy guy, but holy crap... the level of disrespect is on another level here. Tannehill, Geno Smith, Daniel Jones (@ 11 wtf?!) Garopollo?!?!?!? Mac Jones?!?!?!?!?!?!?!? Several others all ahead of him?! Mac Jones is mediocre backup level at this point for hell's sake.
omg... Two full weeks of this edutainment leading up to Patrick! Can we stand the anticipation.!!? now Bring it On, Chris & Ahmed..! just like Sonny & Brownie ("Bring It On Home") ... so far so good ... i'm guessing a certain #8 slipped a bit. ..Little bit.
I wouldn't put too much weight on their rankings. Although he is a FitzMagic type QB, Minshew actually does have better stats and wins than guys like Trevor Lawerence over the past 3 years and on lousier teams and as a backup who didnt get first team reps. Giving him a full offseason as the "starter" and on a loaded roster, I think Minshew is a solid QB1. He'll win us a lot of games while we look to get a top tier QB next year.
Simms… do your due diligence on the Raiders please. You sound foolish. Aiden is the guy to start the season as Pierce has already stated and will be the guy unless he’s just completely mediocre.
Chris would accept 13 and 8. It looks better than 12 and 18 for sure. He absolutely knows a thing or two about sacks. 23 games played, 49 sacks. He's kind of an expert, if I'm honest.
Honestly at the same stage of his career Fitspatrick wasn't playing at the level Minshew has in his opportunities. Crazy to me that Minshew hasn't gotten the chance to take over a team but I think he will fit in well with the raiders.
Ahmed thinking he’s qualified to explain the top 40 QB list is laughable. Ahmed doesn’t know shit about QBs, how in the world could he think that he could convey it properly Jesus Christ I’m gonna spit my beverage out
Wow, looking at the 2023 rankings, after #8 it is pretty grim names. #10 Stafford exused. The rest are not exactly setting the world on fire. 9 good-great QBs and a LOT of average, up down, players. I thought there were many more.
@@FlintGiven He will put Tua higher, I just don't think it'll break the top ten. (Which is fair, I personally as a dolphins fan would say he's pretty firmly in that twelve to fifteen range. but I could see Simms going as low as like, eighteen.)
Often wonder if this pod is straight after lunch? Simms always burping and swallowing. Maybe shift the time or the food?? But thanks so much for not banging the damn desk, great improvement
Ryan Tannehill and Matt Ryan may still be considered top 40 qbs but neither looks like they have a team. If you were their agent what would you recommend each one do. Is there a team that you see one haveing a good fit. One thought I had was matt ryan to back up brock purdy in SF?
I get that Minshew has limitations and leaves some plays and yards out there, but realistically QBs 20-32 all will and yet would be starters. His track record of starting a lot on overachieving teams should be more than enough to push him ahead of some of the more disappointing, downtrodden QBs like Pickett
There were 13 teams above or a couple long passes or week 17 start away from 4000 yards passing, all 13 of those QB deserve top 15-18 position this year. You can make an argument at the end of the year that some guy with 3500 yards is better than the one with 3800 because of running or lack of support, but you cannot make any argument for a guy with 2900 yards being better. You evaluate the real rankings at the end of the season with the real stats for the season, style points and you know he is better than that guy, do not hold up against unavailability and bottom 10 stats. Looking at the Jets hot mess and Rogers last season and age, I would not stake my season on Rogers stats with the Jets this year, so he is not top 30. The end of year stats with the team will tell where they really rank at the end of the year, Rogers was not top 100 last year. Switching teams occurs because they don't want to pay $20M for a guy throwing 3500 yards, only 16 guys had that and 1 was Howell.
I have been saying the NFL has an Offensive Coordinator problem for years now. Chris really only started talking about it during the 2023 season but I have been mad about this for a while cuz teams in the NFL just keep rehiring the same retreads. Like Luke Getsy never had the ability to use Justin Fields the right way and that coaching staff completely wasted the teams time and his but now he is the OC of the Raiders when he duznt even know how to coach the QB sneak play correctly( I watched film where they wernt even blocking a qb sneak correctly). Some OCs in the league can't even create a good gameplans or know how to make adjustments other than "well they are running cover 3 so im gonna run my cover 3 plays now." Tbh only about a third of teams in the NFL have a quality OC and some of the guys that arent good have great years like the Philly offense was great when Doug Peterson and Reich were working together but on their own since they have both not been good. TBh maybe my point is biased because I have always thought that if I had the money to fix my health issues i cud be a top OC in football and maybe I am a bit jealous these guys get so many chances but these bad OCs are ruining seasons for the teams that we love like last year with the Eagles(my fav team).
I do not see how we can put Hurts (a unique great season) above Goff or Dak. And how in the name of all that is football sensible are Cousins Jones and Watson above Dak? This does not look serious...
Gardner is lower than he should be, he's got more wins and better stats than Trevor Lawerence as a backup QB, with less offensive weapons over the last 3 years... the dudes only 27 and hasnt had 1st team reps as the start going into a season before. He is on a loaded offensive roster now and should be able to get more wins than most of the guys on this list. He reminds me of Ryan FitzMagic, minus the age and size.
Ok Beaten Down Puppy Syndrome is NOT a thing n it is kind of sick. Rather not call it Physically Abused Child Syndrome.. N these are grown man at least making hundreds of thousands dont compare to puppies... Love the Pod.
