I am 57 years old, and I have loved Journey for over 40 years. I can't get enough of Steve Perry's voice or Neal Schon's guitar playing. I love to see someone from another generation loving this music and appreciating the talent we see here!

Steve Perry, great voice, great range, irreplaceable. I don’t pay much attention to Journey since his departure from the band.
Those were magical times. Some of the best music ever. The vocals, lyrics and instruments were in perfect synchronicity. Perfect for a top down moonlit journey down sandy beaches where the water touches the sky.

Now you know why Steve has the moniker of "The Voice". The entire Escape album is awesome. "Don;t Stop Believing" is on there. The song is prominent in an anime called "Heavy Metal". One thing about songs from this period; they spoke of love as opposed to the more sexually explicit songs of today. Journey was and still is one of the best groups.
Saw this on HBO when I was young. 1983 I believe. I knew the song already at that age.
Anyone heard him sing ," Missing You. It will blow your mind.

In 1981, not all homes had cable tv. Journey was the first full-concert to air as a cable special on HBO (live from Houston). I went to a neighbor’s home to watch this concert. They had a good laugh at me freakin’ out!
I remember listening to a talent scout talk about getting a tip to come to this club where perry was discovered. When the scout heard him he immediately got on the phone telling the man..cant recall his name at the moment, i found this guy" his voice is incredible! Wait till you hear this guy man! So exited! And rightfully so..

Darlin, Journey is my all time favorite band. I’ve seen them 11 times and can’t wait to see more. I’m happy to escort you to a Journey concert too. Plus, a little known Journey song that you’ll assuredly love is “Your Love” from the Arrival album when Steve Augeri sang lead (scary how similar he sounds to original lead singer Steve Perry).

Got to see them do this live in May 1982 on the Escape tour at Byrne Arena in East Rutherford, NJ. I first heard it on the Escape album and in the movie "Heavy Metal" back in '81. Steve really belts it out here and it gives me chills to this day hearing it.

I believe the 1981 Houston, Tx is just one of the best concerts EVER!!! However, I would LOVE to see and have the 'Day On The Green' concert in my hands!!! From my understanding, along with the Houston concert. Day On The Green is one of Journey best concerts as well!
