I came across your videos last year, your ' I don't care, don't give a sh*'t' attitude is a breath of fresh air. I'm in my 60's and you've given me a new purpose in life, weather my creations are good or bad, I don't give a sh*t. Carve deeper my friend, you are truly appreciated.🇨🇮🏴☠️
I love your attitude of ‘getting shit done’ and not caring too much about stuff. When you take things too seriously you get finicky and mess around too much. These carvings are better with a rustic charm to them. And you are very able in your abilities too. I’m going to give woodcarving a try!👍🇬🇧
Wow!!! So, I've been silversmithig for a lil while. Among a few other hobbies, I have a love for wood lol. I watch a lot of TH-cam videos every day to learn silversmithig. Well, i stumbled upon your fantastic videos by complete accident, and I'm instantly hooked now. Awesome work, awesome guy, and I am extremely inspired by your work and videos! Thank you for the inspiration, my friend!
I’ll tell you what someone told me about facial feature sizes… I’m sorry if you already knew this and what I’m sayin is like “no duh, Lace”. It’s a loose rule that can and should be broken for art but here it is: If you put your thumb right up next to your first finger, and straighten out your first finger all the way you can use that length like a jig. You’ll find that the tip of your nose to the top of your nose is that length. Then the same place at the top of your nose to the outside corner of your eye is the same length. Then the tip of your ear lobe to the top of your ear - same length. Also (you don’t have to use your thumb for this one): the total length of one of your eyes from corner to corner is the same length as the space between your eyes from inside corner to inside corner. These guides helped me out a lot when I used to do drawings. Like I said, not a hard and fast rule but maybe this’ll help some folks. Thanks for doin this awesome demo, Jordy! I was curious bc I have the master carver and I like it pretty well but like you said, the connection to the hand piece does get a bit wobbly. Carry on!
Thanks for the demo Jordy... Interesting and affordable little carver...yep you put the want back in everyone... The wide driftwood spirit made me think of the carving on the log at your beach..yeah a little different but I remember it seemed a little laidback like this one today... Excellent video Jordy..I hope you're feeling better...🌿🌿🌿
I have been blessed to watch you improve and evolve over the past few years. Thanks for sharing your evolution, journey, wisdom, and talents durion this time. So kind. Thank you.
Carve deeper! That's actually helped me a lot with my chainsaw carvings. It goes through my head every time I'm carving, so say it every time you make a video!
My dremal is about dead and the cube will be my next tool I am not as heavy handed as you. You are sounding better I hope you are feeling better be safe
Well man congrats on hitt'n 60,000 subs. Hard earned, well deserved 👏 Looks to be a wicked little machine, but like anything looks to be a bit of a learning curve. But good machines are alot like good people the more you get to know them the more comfortable you will become with them. Oh yeah,by the way those Chinese burrs are freak'n wicked. I did a entire flower & leaves carving with 1 medium Chinese burr. Inspired by some krazy Canadian guy...his name escapes me at the moment 🤔🤣 Well anyhoo, carry on my fellow chinese burr samurai 🤺 ✌🎨🎨🎨😁
Great video! I use a Strong 202 which I think is similar. Mine will also stall if I get the bit down into a channel too deep. But that's a good feature since it protects the motor.
cool piece that carver was holding up good it looked like bet it just chews through the cottonwood bark stay safe! Hang in the Just Carve Rob if you read this them back issues take time cant rush it i know the feeling!
That looks like its real smooth to use Jordy another good carving and don't under rate yourself you a great carver like them others you were talking about their good at how they carve and your good at how and what you carve it's just different that's all cheers mick hope your feeling better
Looks a great bit of kit 🤘 an once you add the price of a flexshaft to a Dremel the RAM is only a few dollar more ehh? I know which one Id prefer an if the Dremel had the cut out feature it'd save lots of broken Flexshafts too I think. Wicked creation & some great tips the best Jordy tip I use every time I carve is "CARVE DEEPER " cuz it's fooking true ! Try it & find out carving deeper gives you depth & that allows more detail. Hope ya feeling a bit better today bro 🤘
Great video and woodspirit brother!! 👊🏽✨ And Hello Just Carve Rob!! 👋🏽 Thinking if you bro, you got my support always. I live with backpain,, I UNDERSTAND 😔
Hey Jordy, nice piece of equipment there. I am just starting off and found out that yes, you can break those flex shaft handles the same as I heard that you like to distroy them also. lol. Anyways I I am having difficulty changing the exspretions on my spirits face, expecially the mouth area. I looked at some of your vids but cant seem to get the hang of it. I even tried what you say, "the heck with it" I just deal with it. Problem my ocd kickes in..lol Anyways, I'm going back out and see if I can make some more sawdust. For some reason the alerts for your channels isnt going off for ma anymore. will check into that as I been missing your vids. Thanks and I will get that coffe to ya.
I recently discovered a Foredom knock off and then micro motors, and realised how noisy Dremels are. Also being left handed I need rotation going in reverse for carving use, something Dremel is not capable of. But am I missing something here in this video? Brushless? The box is the power supply only right? So the handpiece would be the brushless part, plugging in other hand pieces as shown at the start is nice but if the handpiece has brushes you are no longer brushless.
Thanks Jordy, yes, I've been looking at this brand and will be getting the brushless version, a great investment actually. Hope you are feeling a little bit better, you must sort that health out most importantly.
