    I always look for customer reviews prior to purchasing something and it helps 100% that you weren't sponsored. I need to hear real stories from real people because that is how I figure out if it will work for me, since I can't try out the bike before buying it. I appreciate your comments as well as the amazon add-on items. Your video was helpful, clear audio (a plus!) and not too long. Thank you for doing this.

    I have this bike! Took it on car camping trips and even to Coachella 2019. It’s a nice bike for leisure rides on paved trails. Mine is green apple🍏 color and I got my sister the magenta. They use to have several bright, flashy colors a few years ago in 2017

    Hey Matt- Thanks for the great review. You covered a lot of accessories; the one I'm interested in-which, it turns out, you didn't cover-is the your fenders. (Not sure why citizen doesn't include these...likely to shave off 1lb.) Wondering which brand/model they are and how you attached them? I can see the front one at :44 (sort of), but the back one I can't get. a good look at from the video. Many thanks, L

    • @mattmantyla
      @mattmantyla  2 ปีที่แล้ว

      Hello! The fenders actually came from Citizen, they were not purchased from a third party. They were included as part of the carrier rack add-on. The fenders definitely make a difference when it’s wet outside!

    Thank you for your bike review. I just subscribed to the channel. I appreciate in depth reviews because often what a company shows on its website isn't an accurate representation of the actual products. I have a 2011 Enda brand bike that was in that price range and it's holding up well. I would advise small upgrades though if possible, Schwalbe marathon tires, the bike bell, cosmetic stuff.

    • @mattmantyla
      @mattmantyla  ปีที่แล้ว

    • @mattmantyla
      @mattmantyla  3 ปีที่แล้ว +2

      Hey Stanley! Glad you enjoyed the video! The bike overall is pretty quiet. The water bottle does rattle a bit when it’s empty in the holder but other than that I think the sounds it makes are fairly normal compared to other bikes.

    Hi Matt, I know you ride in a city environment (I was born in Brooklyn btw😁👋) Would you recommend this bike for travel? I wouldn't be doing crazy long rides, just day rides sightseeing etc (around European cities, sort of stop and go type riding?). I am considering getting one and I like how this looks. Although you said 26 or 28 pounds? (For me that might get heavy if I had to go up and down steps) Just wanted your opinion if you think this would be sturdy enough for that type use? Thanks so much! Margaret

    • @mattmantyla
      @mattmantyla  3 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      Hey Margaret! Thanks for reaching out. The bike is great for packing into the trunk of a car and it’s great for stop and go excursions as long as you’re able to lock it up. I would not recommend trying to carry it around too much as it will definitely get too heavy. For me personally I carry it up and down three flights of stairs at my walk-up apartment and it’s manageable but definitely tiring.

    I gave them a week to mail my bike to a location within their 3 day mailing radius. When I saw it was going to be late I messaged them to hold it so it could be shipped to where I could intercept it, since Im a poor truck driver. They ignored my message and sent it immediately. Its been sitting at my mailbox for months, because it will cost me a weeks pay. I already dont get paid consistently because trucking can be tough. Now my mail is threatening to close my account, which means I lose my CDL address. I may not get to go home and lose my job if that happens. Threw away 500 bucks for a bicycle I havent even seen and its costing me everything. Dont buy from them if youre a homeless truck driver. Turns out a 1000 dollar folding bike would have saved me money.
