I recently bought note 20ultra and compared it to a friend's s20 ultra's camera, 108mp is way better in s20ultra few more artifacts but brings more visible details as well, s20 ultra has better capability in terms of zoom in the daytime and night but things changes when taking a picture of the moon at 30 to 50x magnificent note 20ultra takes much better in this scenario due to superior process, also note 20 ultra takes a slightly better picture with the usage of Ultra wide-angle lens whether in the night or day, still, s20ultra's focus hunting issues hasn't eliminated.
In a nutshell, it depends on what you need from those phones, cameras are excellent on both with some cons, Battery life is better on s20 ultra but note 20 ultra's appearance identifies real ultra looking, s-pen is good if you find it necessary but personally I utilize it once in a week.

This video should be called "exposing s20 ultra". After watching this, I can officially say I am no longer interested in the s20 ultra, but buying the note 20 ultra.

Is the 100x zoom not usable yes in most scenarios but with a tripod wildlife photography it's taken to a next level in the smartphone realm.
It has its uses simply as a quick binocular substitute also.
It's not useless just because you haven't found a use for it.

You forgot to mention laser autofocus on Note 20 Ultra which fixes the auto focus issue present on S20 ultra

Back then they have issues but now its fixed with the neely updated softwares. Tried it too it has no issues for me and works fine like the note 20 ultra auto focusing :)

I have the S20 Ultra and you're right, who really needs the 100x zoom. Lol I wish I had waited for the Note20 Ultra, but with the whole Covid deal, I didn't know if it was ever going to make it to where I live. Also, as for the glass protecting the camera, do you know if it's as fragile as the S20 Ultra. I'm reading a lot of reviews of the back camera glass cracking out of no where. Thanks!

I have a question. If you zoom in on the camera like 5x than you zoom in on the phone screen is it still clear? With the demo phone at the at&t store it didn't seem clear after zooming in after 5x.

I have the S20 Ultra. The main camera has horrible focus issues, both in photo and video especially in low light. Edit: A software update now uses the wide camera to assist in low light focus of main camera. Problem solved.

Nightime photos and videos are average.
Maybe the snapdragon version performs better - as mine is exynos.

In my opinion the Note 20 Ultra is the clear winner. Samsung really screwed the S20 Ultra up and really needs to slow down when designing a smartphone. This Phone should have no issues. Shame on you Samsung. Great video 👍 stay safe brother.
The only risk about the note series is if the phone is drop several times the pen is out and the pen is not durable at should be.
Ugh, slightly upset now. I've been back and forth with these two, I decided on the S ultra, research said it was better. So it was no longer possible to get this through my carrier and I decided on the Note ultra, but really wanted the other. So I was able to get the other, at a lower price, and now everything I read says the Note is better. The camera is my #1 requirement.
It's mostly a toss up between the two now thanks to the many updates on the S20 Ultra. The Note 20 Ultra is still the safer pick but the S20 Ultra can perform just as well as the Note can (you'll need to really crop into the image to tell the difference and there are instances where the S20 Ultra takes better shots so it's mostly personal preference now). If camera is your biggest priority, the P40 Pro Plus and the Mate 40 Pro are the best choices imo

The s20 ultra takes bad pictures in low light scenario. Be aware of that. I had an s21 plus and then went to an s20 ultra because it still has expandable memory. The s21 plus took better pictures and video on low light.

Better camera quality than the IPhone Xr, iPhone 11 and the iPhone 12. Definitely going to buy the note 20 ultra. I have the s20 ultra very good camera quality also the performance is top notch its just to small for my hands though

It's a choice of marginally better rear facing camera and s pen vs marginally better battery and front facing camera. The $100 difference is "beginning of the year" anticipation, battery, and gimmicky zoom.

108mp and super zoom camera hump is not necessary tho. For 1300 usd. Focus on the standard instead although so many things are cut off for the yr 2020.. at least 90 hz.. at least gorilla glass 6 front and back of the phone. 1080p? Its okay still manage a top notch display of samsung for flagship. No sd card? Its okay it is bcoz at least standard storage is 256gb and more option at least to 512GB or even hope to 1TB.

Not the same screen! You are a reviewer! Note has 19:9 aspect ratio and S has 20:9 aspect ratio. They might have the same diagonal but the area of the screen is different.

Having experianced and used both s20 ultra and note 20 ultra, the note 20 ultra a huge improvement in camera department when it comes to essentially eliminating the focus issues that infuriated me on s20u as well making the telephoto more usable. Selfies camera is a bit of downgrade on note 20 ultra, i looked paler in photos for some reason with all beauty settings off
Was the note 20 selfie camera as zoomed in as galaxy s20 ultra? I have had almost every galaxy phone from the 3 and up and I hate how zoomed in the camera is 😕

I will take the contrast on the s20 ultrs anyway can't help it thats main for me especially since all of these phones don't have as much contracts as previous years already its pretty crazy to put my s9 next to these phones and see how much contrast loss and richness is gone hopefully samsung goes back and realizes all of the complaints they are getting for displays when we buy a samsung we expect a samsung image thats literally the main reason people buy samsungs is because they are known for there displays and if they lose that people will search elsewhere its insane the complaints I see on the note 20 ultrs it is literally one of the most returned phones from ssmsung because people come from there 9 or there 10 and go darn this thing is washed out and flat and that isn't cool lol guys if you like a colorful contrast image don't get the note20 ultrs not enough reviews are talking about it just search note 2p ultrs color and go look at the thousands upon thousands of people that are talking about just how washed out and horrible the image looks sure its still a clear sharp image but darn samsung socks at making natural images they don't know how to keep it contrast and rich with also being accurate instead they get washed out flat images lol its pretty bad just wait and compare lol

Buddy - learn some photography. Depending on the minute angle of your lens vs the light (sun in this case) you get flares. Ok? So it's no the camera, it's the user who doesn't know how to shoot and where the devices limitations are.
