Said it before and I'll say it again--- NUX is the new BOSS.
BOSS is just Roland, so I wonder if Nux is the same muddy, "plastic" and overpriced piece of guitar shit? Seems to be - not. Awesome tiny pocket amp.

@@obendaperkins5574They have their rock solid build quality and history, and I'm not knocking Boss or Roland in any way as I was a customer, but they haven't done anything like this at this price point, and we live in a digital world. For what I paid for a Boss Flanger, DD3, Overdrive, Metalzone back in the day, I could definitely have the best modeller with everything built in, and only I would be the wiser (not AxeFX/Kemper). The audience doesn't have a clue.
That and the fact that live music is dying. Most of the people you see playing guitar are on the internet. Their equipment never moves, gets jumped on, or is abused when on a shelf. That solid metal chassis that Boss was famous for is almost a non-thing anymore....sadly. I'm not arguing with you, I'm just saying from my POV.

Just ordered one! It’s backordered, but due to be available in a week. Your demo sold me. I just acquired a Strandberg headless guitar and I’m attempting to make the most portable rig that will still satisfy for noodling around the house, on vacation or simple no fuss jams or gigs with friends. I noticed your IR’s made is sound better than some of the demos I’ve heard using the built in IR’s. It might have just been more due to different quality audio setups. Thanks.

Great demo and explanations of feature set. I had a Fender Mini Mustang that I sold after getting this. It was like a toy, rigid controls, limited pedals per block. Nux hit a home run on this!
do you prefer the Nux Mighty Pro over the Fender Mustang Mustang Micro, in terms of sound quality?
I brought the 'old' Mighty Plug with me on Holiday this year - It was just really good fun. Looks like they have adressed many of the wishes I had - I may have to get this new one as well

I'm a little late to the party on this. I just bought the MP-3 version. you're absolutely right about it being a great value for the money. I paid $120.00 and it sounds amazing for that price point given all the IRs, the ability to load your own, and jam tracks... killer for keeping my chops up while I'm away from home.
Your demo convinced me to buy the original Mighty Plug just over a year ago, now I might have to get this one!

The jcm 800 sounds just like a jcm 800 in any hard rock/metal recording. it's great. it might sound on par or better than amplitube or guitar rig software

Damn, I'm a year late. I literally just had an epiphany and thought of inventing something exactly like this, and here I am, Nux beat me to it. Not lying, this is exactly the invention I just thought of. Not surprised, they're killing it with the multi effects now.
Green River, hell ya. Lately I’m addicted to playing it on my 7 and grabbing those lower octaves.
It's cool how much stuffs is out there for players now. But it gets to be sensory overload too. Some people may want to own it all. I don't. I was switching between my FM3 rig going into the ISP frfr I have and my Mesa Mark V 25 mini stack with the Line 6 HX Effects I run into it, and thinking how good I was in the tone generation department yesterday. I don't like using a ton of amp mods and am really old school it seems these days. I came from the be unique and have your own unique tone school. And it's where I play Mesa these days. But all the options are cool to see and hear. Thanks for another great video Leon.

I think that's possible, as there is a line in via bluetooth (at least, there is on MP2).
It's a nice toy for a guitar player on the go....I've got one and I'm trying to squeeze in some of my favourite tones and IR of course. The first results are quite promising for a huge satisfaction 🙂

Is there the same lag as the Mp-2 when playing a track from your phone over bluetooth? That was for me a show stopper with the MP2 and I ended up buying the mustang micro from fender, which has minimal lag.

I just bought one of these. Great with the app on the phone but I can't get it to work with my PC. The app on the phone kept saying update the firmware so I managed to do that through trial & error on the pc. I'll keep fiddling with it but so far, when it comes to the mighty editor app on the pc, it says to plug in the device even when the device is plugged in. So all this stuff about being able to play through my computer, load other impulse responses and do stuff like that is beyond me. I'm new to this type of stuff and still trying to figure things out.
Does it have physical headphone volume buttons? I hate the fact that the previous model doesn't and you have to change the preset settings in the app for something as basic as raising or lowering the volume.
I have the mp2… I only use two tones the clean jazz channel (Green) and the Friedman style channel (pink)
I've got this NU-X mighty plug pro. It's exceptionally good. Guys order one. You won't return it. Here's what I think. You can play anywhere, to drums or backing tracks, with a great sound, and disturb nobody..

Can it be used as an interface into the iPad using an OTG adapter? I want to record it into GarageBand.
I have an irig hd2. How is this different / better? Is the idea that “real” sound comes from your guitar the this amp instead of digital fake from Tonebridge? I need to look into this for sure. I’d love to be able to “put the sound” into my iPhone while doing duets or stream instead of holding the mic near the amp … great video btw !!

Its interesting how this little device and a simple piece of software can do more than a whole bunch of amps out there now that go for WAY more. I think Boss, Line 6, Fender, Peavey, and other need to up there game.

Where are you outputting the audio to? Just your ipad? Does it work with your average generic bluetooth speaker that you use to play music on? Thinking for out in the garden lol
I'm using a TRS to dual TS cable straight into my audio interface. Bluetooth has easy too much latency for real time audio use.
OK so if it goes to my ANDROID phone, do you think I can cast it to speakers? Either way, i'm buying this thing. Thanks for the demo

@@LeonTodd Early 90s Valvestate Combos are amazing. In the 2000s they were very affordable and a good choice still, but these days cheap modelers blow it out of the water. This is half price of a valvestate.

Superb unit but needs a tuner and ability to cast to air pods to be stellar.
When you say " cast" do you mean by Bluetooth? If yes it simply wont work due to horrible latency.

I love this thing the instructions and labeling suck donkey dick though.
But using the pics on site and looking at what guitarist use I've been able to match like 3 or 4 guitarists and it sounds pretty close to them to me .
And it works I have an irig 2 and it's a pile of shit.
I can say it sounds amazing.
I own the original Mighty Plug and this is just a little too incremental for me to bother getting this

nux deserves to dethrone line 6 in that area. especially if they expand in a bit more powerful / high end gear while keeping prices low. the results they have achieved so far are very impressive
Out of the new crop of Chinese great companies they're making my favourite stuff in this regard.
@@LeonTodd I agree. And they seem to have a great tone as well considering the low cost. I hope they make a bigger-more powerful multifx processor / modeling unit. If they can cram that much into a dongle I bet they can do something surprising with extra power
Line 6's legacy is hard to overlook. The Helix ecosystem literally hosts a library of hundreds of amps, effects etc with ridiculous attention to detail. Some people call it redundant and whatnot, but this simply can't be overlooked and it gives them the edge. FWIW, I think the price of admission sits just right. I'm not sure I can say that about other major brands out there. That being said, NUX, Joyo, Mooer etc are a much needed shake up in the industry. What a time to be a musician!

Hey guys, I am a new guitar player and I am totally thinking about buying this plug. Can you get a good Rammstein-like sound with this Plug? Do you have experience with that?
There's a few nice high gain amps in there. keep in mind the Rammstein sound is a result of multiple layers of guitar tracks stacked.

Hi nice video, Hi I have NUX mighty plug mp2 - my problem is - I can not get a stereo signal when using a 3.5mm TRS to Dual 6.35mm TS Breakout cable -> into my Left and right inputs on my Boss RC500 looper pedal. The ping pong delay does not work. The Nux only gives a true stereo signal with headphones. Do you have any ideas? Thanks

Here's a use case - I've been looking for a solution for playing guitar at my home office station. I've had a Mooer preamp and a Mooer Radar feeding into my speakers but I need some effects and control so it's not really working. This would work friggin' amazing!!!
