    I am planning to buy this as it's pretty cheap compared to other brands.
    However, can you please answer my questions about this product that will help me in my buying decision
    - Does this really clean Indian greasy utensils?
    - How is the reliability? Have you faced any issues in the long run?
    - Any monthly maintenance required?
    - How long does it take for washing utensils?

    • @TheGlovesMan
      @TheGlovesMan  3 ปีที่แล้ว +4

      Here are the answers to your questions
      - Yes, it cleans greasy utensils pretty effectively. I have tried cleaning idli utensils and badly soiled Kadhai's as well. The dishwasher cleans them effectively.
      - No issues with reliability. Have been using this for more than a year without any issues.
      - No maintenance as such. It works just like a washing machine. If you have hard water supply, then you need to top up the rinse aid and dishwasher salt occasionally. The average frequency of doing this is once in one or two months. This is just like loading the dishwasher detergent. Pretty simple task.
      - There are different cycles. So depending on how heavily soiled your utensils are you can choose a cycle. There are short wash cycles like a 30mins cycle and long wash option of upto 3 hours.
      Hope this answers all your questions.

      Hi Arunraj, I am not sure if normal crystal salt would be ideal for the inbuilt water softener in these dishwashers.
      I think that's also available on Amazon, but I would not recommend using those. Go for salts that are designed specifically for dishwashers.

    • @TheGlovesMan
      @TheGlovesMan  2 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      Thank you for the appreciation.
      Yes, it does resume the cycle if there's a power failure. No, it doesn't need a stand. It's pretty light in weight as it's kind of different from washing machines. Washing machine has a motor which is heavy in weight. This is so light that a single person can move it.
      While installing, I moved it myself.

    Quick wash program effective for daily cleaning?

    • @TheGlovesMan
      @TheGlovesMan  3 ปีที่แล้ว +2

      Yes, for not so greased up dishes, the 30mins cycle works fine. However, for medium soiled utensils, I would recommend the 1 hour 30 mins cycle.
      And for badly soiled utensils, always go for a long duration wash program as it involves rinsing and cleaning multiple times.

    • @AtulKumar-sw6fc
      @AtulKumar-sw6fc 3 ปีที่แล้ว

      Except in the case of very soft water, normally all the dishwashers need Rinse aid and salt, even if you are using a tablet.

    • @TheGlovesMan
      @TheGlovesMan  3 ปีที่แล้ว

      Hi Swapnil, thanks for your appreciation.
      If the hardness of the water in your area is too high, then I would recommend that you use rinse aid and salt as well. The tablets that say 3 in 1 don't really work for extreme hard water.
      In my area as well, the TDS of water is 550+. So I use salt and rinse aid to avoid any damage to the dishwasher and also my utensils. Both the salt and rinse aid are super cheap. So it's better to be safe in my opinion.
      And Amazon basics is a good brand to go for. However, if you are looking for some more options, do check my top dishwashers list here - www.theglovesman.com/top-dishwashers-in-india-2021/

    • @TheGlovesMan
      @TheGlovesMan  3 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      Hi Hemanth,
      Go for it. This one is pretty economical compared to the other brands. I had once got the E3 error but I think it was due to one particular dishwasher detergent brand. Since that date, I haven't changed the brand of detergent/salt/rinse aid and I have not faced a single issue. I use this machine 2 times in a day and the water supply in my area is pretty hard (550TDS). I actually recommend my friends/family to get this as it's a MUST buy in this covid situation where hiring a maid is kind of risky.
      I had done the installation of this machine in the last lockdown all by myself. It's pretty simple. Just get that 3/4 adapter that I have mentioned in the description of this video.
      As per the reviews on Amazon -
      a few people have received E3 errors, but I think they have put some wrong stuff (detergent or salt) in the machine and damaged it.
      Just a few things to note:
      - Use Standard Dishwasher detergent or Powerballs (I have used Fortune Detergent mostly and sometimes Finish Powerballs)
      - Top up salt and rinse aid regularly when the machine indicates low salt. (I have used Fortune Rinse Aid and Fortune Dishwasher Salt)
      * Do not buy those large blocks of salt. I don't think those are right. Salt should be granular like sugar crystals.

    Our Indian utensils get very oily due to the type of oils that we use for cooking.
    Does this dishwasher do a good job in removing the oil from the utensils?

    • @TheGlovesMan
      @TheGlovesMan  3 ปีที่แล้ว +2

      Yes, it does.
      I have added spatulas that were covered with sticky oil residue.
      To my surprise, the dishwasher managed to take off all the sticky residue. I think the hot water and soapy detergent does the trick in getting even the toughest stains out.

      Hi Parul,
      Did you accidentally use normal dishwashing liquid/detergent in the machine? If not, may I know what detergent/rinse aid/ salt are you using in your dishwasher.
      It could also mean that the dishwasher drain pump is mal functioning or the drain hose is not kept properly. Please ensure that the water flowing in and the drain water flowing out is not blocked in any way.

      Well, most Indian cookers are made out of Anodised metal. These cannot be washed in the Dishwasher.
      However, if you have a steel Kadhai, Steel cooker, it can be washed easily in the dishwasher.

    How to select the upper backet or lower basket in the half load mode ?

    • @TheGlovesMan
      @TheGlovesMan  3 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      The half load button marked as (1/2) can be used to select between the upper basket and lower. This is positioned besides the power button.
      Pressing it each time will switch between Upper Basket and Lower Basket. So first press will get you upper basket only, second press will switch to lower and then that's how it will follow for future presses.
