I loveeeeee it. Expenses can vary as per the brand. I have a bosch DW. Finish is good but Fortune is economical and equally good in terms of cleaning. With Fortune, it's less than 400. With finish its roughly 700 if I use it once a day for 30 days. I have never used cristal. Yes along with this, I need to invest a small amount on liquid detergent as I have few iron vessels(and I am not ready to let them go 🤪). I have almost switched to stainless steel starting from roti tawa till pressure cooker. I believe it a good investment. Peace and love Rachita
@@TheGrapevineIndia hey Saumya. Nice video. Could you also share your experience after a year with the robot vacuum cleaner that you are using? Thanks :)
A very catchy title 👌 All the points are nicely explained. I had been using a Bosch free standing dishwasher since five years and would any day vouch for the need of it in an Indian kitchen. I use the finish salt, detergent and rinse aid from day one and would continue to use it.Results are pretty good. The right salt settings and cleaning the filters periodically had helped me fix the limescale deposit on the dishes. When it comes to smelly dishes,I use a hard bristled hand held brush to scrape off the solids from the dishes and load it,which guarantees sparkling dishes without clogging the filters often. This is one practice I had been following for years irrespective of whether I use a dishwasher or outsource the same.
Hi Sri Priya, thanks! Yeah solids need to be removed, as it may clog the outlet pipe over time otherwise. Glad it's working well for you, it's one of the most underrated devices in India!
I also have a dish washer Bish with 3 trays and I also realise what a blessing it is to have wone. No tension of using extra vessels for cooking as it can be pit in the dish washer tension free. I believe I have make a very wise decision by buying a Bish dish washer. And just for your knowledge, I have also bought some 6 months ago a Robotic vaccum cleaner S9 model. It also does an excellent job. In case u need any feed back from these products for your presentation, I will be pleased to help u out for the good work u r doing. God Bless u and your family mam.
Hi Vivian, thanks so much for sharing! Yes, both of these are a big benefit! Are you referring to the Viomi S9 self cleaning robot vacuum? I'd love your feedback on that!
@@TheGrapevineIndia it is known as S6 pro or S9 Robotic vaccum cleaner having 5400 hrtZ batter with sweep and mop facility. It does an excellent job. It cost me around Rs 45000/-
These days we are watching your videos before buying any appliances. Also while doing our kitchen renovation. Thanks a lot. Each video is really helpful. We are yet to find out our optimum dishwasher settings.
Thanks Kavitha, that’s great to know. Yeah getting the dishwasher setting right is the worlds greatest mystery these days 😊 it’s mainly the salt setting that causes havoc
Fantastic video Saumya. I really thank the TH-cam algorithm to bring your video in my notification panel. I was actually thinking to get a dishwasher for my mother. She is quite apprehensive about using it as she has got not so good reviews about dishwashers from her acquaintances but I am quite sure now that videos about dishwasher on your channel will be a game changer for me. Thanks again and keep posting more such insightful videos. 👏
Hi @Felicity! Thank you! A dishwasher while very useful, is a finicky appliance till you get the settings right. But once you get it right, she can put her feet up and relax :) Let me know how I can help.
Hi Saumya, can we place the dishwasher on a wheel based trolley stand so that we can move it as and when needed. Or do we need to place the dishwasher in a fixated manner and no movement is possible. Thanks in advance!
Hi! While the service person does not recommend, I have kept it on a stand. Since a dishwasher does not have as much vibration, it should be ok to keep on a stand.
Thanks for sharing your useful experience, which is so helpful. I would also like to share my experience of dishwashers. We do not rinse the utensils before they are placed inside the dishwasher but few steps help - (1) while the utensils are kept in sink they should remain soaked in water. As glasses bowls, plates etc. have raised sides, it can be done very easily. Spoons are soaked in used bowls or glasses. (2) burnt marks on milk and tea pans are difficult to be cleaned. It is better to give them little scrubbing before they are kept inside the dishwasher. (3) longer cycles with moderate temperature (50 degree or 55 degree) are good. Long cycles treat the utensils with repeated hot soapy water sprays, which help in giving extra cleaning and shine to the utensils. Moderate temperature ensures that utensils are not damaged in long run. (4) Intensive cycles with high temperature tends to adversely affect the plastics as well as glass utensils/containers and bowls. Intensive cycle is used only rarely. (5) Voltas Beko has a dedicated set of cycles, called AQUAFLEX which treats the utensils in upper rack with mild temperature and less force. It helps in protecting the plastics. (6) Voltas Beko has a third spray arm below the lower rack, which sprays the water with 5 times the power of a normal spray, it ensures that milk and tea stains are also perfectly cleaned, without prior scrubbing. (7) detergent gives excellent results as, for shorter cycles, we can use lesser amount of detergent, unlike the tablets which have predetermined amount of chemicals. Detergents are easily soluble. As I have been using dishwasher since October 2019, I have used detergent in LG (my last dishwasher) as well as Voltas Beko (my present dishwasher) with excellent results. Detergent costs Rs. 2 to Rs. 3 per cycle. Detergent is much cheaper and equally effective, if compared to tablets.
@@j.s.188 I bought LG in October 2019, at that time whereas Bosch and siemens etc. were being sold for around 34000/- (Which has now jumped to 45000/- for no real reason), the price of LG was around 52000/- LG was the only dishwasher with steam in it's spray arm and door. LG also had WIFI connectivity for certain functions. LG was the only dishwasher with inverter motor (which is brushless and has longer life and very low electricity consumption. LG had 10 years warranty on it's motor. Despite being excellent machine, LG dishwashers had a peculiar problem of not resuming the cycle from last stage, after power outage. After power interruption, the cycles used to get extended beyond 1 hour, causing delays and wastage of electricity. I returned it and studied about Bosch, Siemens and IFB. I found that these dishwashers had not improved their dishwashers with changing technology and their pricing was ridiculous. While viewing certain videos on this channel, I saw the wide range of Voltas Beko dishwashers. It took me 2 months to know more about Beko, which is an international brand with big demand in Europe, USA, UK, Australia and Arab nations. I interacted with many foreign users. Voltas collaborated with Beko to launch some of their popular dishwashers, which are so popular around the globe. I bought Voltas Beko DF14S2 model which is now being sold for 40000/- Voltas Beko has many unique features like - (1) It has 12 years warranty on motor. (2) Inverter motor is very energy efficient and has longer life. (3) Dishwasher is sound less. (4) it's all the cycles consume less than 1 unit of electricity. (5) average power consumption is 4.50/- per cycle.(6) it has a third lower impeller (spray arm) below the lower tray, which sprays hot water at 5 times the power of normal spray arm, to remove sturdy stains. (6) It has 38 wash cycles. (7) It has steam option as well as air drying for perfect drying of utensils. (8) It resumes cycle, from last stage, after power outage. (9) Voltas after sales service is top class, you just have to dial to the helpline for any assistance. I have seen dishwashers in USA when I had gone to meet my son and daughters in law. I can say that Voltas Beko is a very good dishwasher. Voltas Beko is 16000/- cheaper than LG and 5000/- cheaper than Bosch 12 place dishwasher, despite having world class features. Voltas also has 15 place WIFI enabled dishwashers. Are you using a dishwasher?
@@AtulKumar-sw6fc Thanks for the detailed feedback. Yes, I have been using Siemens 12 place setting daily since Jan 2021 & very happy with the performance & the customer service as well. I knew a few people using siemens, bosch for almost 6-8 years & IFB at the time of my buying it. Bosch & Siemens users were very happy with the performance whereas IFB had bad customer service reviews. I got mine for 39,000. Voltas beko too seems like a good buy.
@@j.s.188 Siemens, Bosch and Faber are formidable brands. Siemens and Bosch belong to same German company. As all the dishwashers, being used anywhere in the world, follow the 3 point mandate, set by USA and European Union, about time, electricity expenses and cleanliness, all the dishwashers serve the basic purpose of cleaning the utensils to perfection. Congratulations for the great buy.
Namaste, thank u for your video. Your videos are very useful. I saw your videos on Dishwasher before going to purchase. Dishwasher is comparatively new concept to digest by Indian specially in joint family. I am using voltas beko df14s2 since 2 months and happy with performance. Water is very hard in my area. So salt required is 3-4 kg per month. I am using fortune detergent powder (1 kg) which lasts for more than 1.5 month when used 2 cycles per day. So dishwasher consumable expenses are around 600 / month (using fortune products) except electricity bill. As you said, finish tablets give excellent results. But it is very costly as compared to combination of salt + detergent + rinse aid. Still I have doubt about electricity consumption as eco or intensive cycles take around 3 hours time. Voltas beko df14s2 gives good results using eco + fast plus option which takes 1 hour 10 minutes. In cleanness, I have almost same experience like you. Additionally, burnt vessels of milk or tea do not get cleaned in dishwasher. Keep posting your videos 👍
Thank you so much Neha! True Finish is expensive - but for me, no hassle of worrying whether vessels have cleaned or not 😊 about electricity - consumption is not so much - about 1kwh - which comes to approx -7-8 rupees per wash (depending on what the price for electricity is in your area). DF14S2 is a great model - have heard good reviews of that and the service of Voltas.
@@TheGrapevineIndia Your video made me think of considering, Voltas Beko, thanks for that again. I had some leftover stock of Fortune salt, Rinse Aid, detergent and Tablets, which I have been using with my previous LG dishwasher. With my new Voltas Beko (DF14S2), I got 2 tablets of Finish and some Finish Rinse Aid. As Voltas Beko also gave me a box of Vim Tablets. I have tried tablets of Fortune, Finish, Vim, as well as Fortune detergent. I can say that Fortune detergent which costs only 2 to 3/- per wash, gives equal results if compared to Finish or any other costly tablet. In fact, Voltas Beko dishwasher manual on page 16 specifically says that for better washing results, detergent, Salt and Rinse Aid should be used separately. Voltas Beko's Eco with Fast + option use .60 watt of electricity, which comes to about 4.50/-. As temperature in all the wash cycles of Voltas Beko is perfectly maintained, the results are really very good. I believe that apart from Voltas Beko, only Faber has such a vast range of wash cycles.

Again informative and awesome video by Saumya👍🏻 I use Voltas beko and purchase in 2020 Amazon sale and I am really happy for my decision. As you said only rice laddle and tea vessel I need to scrape otherwise all is well. As I live in Mumbai water hardness is not a problem but I feel fortune works better in comparison with finish.i have experimented almost all detergent and fortune is giving good results. Great Video. My take from it will be not do pre rinsing and dirt removal. It just struck my mind that 'then what is the point of a dishwasher?' 😅 We settled with Voltas Beko tabletop after looking at Bosch and other brands because 40K is a lot if we are not sure of how many years it will last in our hard water area. So 20K sounded reasonable. It is very much useful, but because of the capacity limit and loading most Indian conventional vessels are comparable to putting a Bunch of Watermelons in a refrigerator, we still have to wash some vessels by hand 🙂 I bought the Bosch salt, Rinse aid and detergent as I was not so sure of other best selling ones in Amazon, it kind of suited well. Only once because of low Rinse aid level, I noticed white layer upon all vessels, that didn't look good at all. So once we finalized the process and things to check before each wash cycle, letting it run became a day to day activity.
Hi Anandh! That's a great decision. haha the watermelon analogy is great :D Agree, once we finalize on which one works best for us, it's better to leave it untouched. Sometimes even when the indicator does not come on, you will get some good signs on when salt or rinse aid is down. It's like diagnosing problems in your body :D
Lol yes, machines are not much different from us. I remember when the washing machine had a throat infection and yelling at me for being careless in routine maintenance.
It can take a lot of time for one to make up decision to buy an expensive appliance like dishwasher (especially since this is breaking conventions from indian kitchen ppint of view) but its easy for people to think the decision was made just like that... i had to buy a second hand dishwasher, have a bad experience waste some money repairing to get my head right to make the decision... anyways years later here i am waiting for my bosch series4 dishwasher to get installed after bangalore lockdown .... i have been so madly searching for dishwasher reviews for the last six years and i really wished your videos were there bacjk then,.... I have been thinking about making videos exactly like yours for a long time... so much for myb laziness... :) I adore your channel a lot so informative, to the point and all fresh facts and fresh sensible point of view and does not repeat or state the obvious like many other dishwasher reviews... Keep up the great work saumya....! Hopefully now ill get myself to do a boshc review similar to how you have done :)
I bought my dishwasher after referring to all your videos and whoever asks me about it I refer them to your channel 😊. I bought Faber 12 place dishwasher 2 months ago and I am more than happy with it. I agree with all the points you mentioned. For rice and other sticky ladles I use the cutlery stand to be placed at bottom. I open lid of its one half to place all the ladles. For burnt vessels I too use the same trick. I have found quick wash cycle useful for aluminium vessels. Thanks for all helpful videos 😊
Hi Hemangi, I am planning to buy a Faber 12 place dishwasher as I have a family of 4 people but at times the number of dishes do increase incase we have guests at my place..so I was wondering if I should buy a 14place or 12 place..also I wonder if I ll be having enough sapce to wash big kadhai and cooker in 12 place faber dishwasher.. Please share your honest suggestion as it will really help me to take a decision. Do Faber 12 place haz steam option or does it give proper cleaning.. also suggest the best setting to use it along with tablets or salts you are using. I hope I am not asking for too much.. Will really appreciate your help
@@priyankalal5998 @Priyanka Lal Hey Priyanka! Great that you're considering to buy a dishwasher. I'm a big fan and consider it a boon. Faber 12 place dishwasher doesn't have a steam drying option but it uses heat while washing so there's steam. This increases the cycle time (Eco) to 3hr:45min as compared to Bosch 12 place (2hr:30min) machine which uses steam drying. Despite being longer eco cycle in faber 12 place, it consumes 0.9KW only. So the vessels are sparkling clean and I'm getting very good results even at the top shelf. In Indian kitchen we have a lot of cookware to wash which takes maximum place at the bottom drawer. Hence, considering your family size I'll strongly recommend 14 place. Mine is a family of 3 and it takes 1.5 days for a full load. I use Fortune detergent salt, rinse aid and salt combo. I'm very happy with the results it can make my highly greasy vessels (used for ghee making) too sparkling clean and saves money too. Hope I was able to answer all your queries. Happy to help!
Hi Hemangi & Priyanka! I love this community as we are helping each other :) Thank you so much for sharing my channel. I agree - keeping the rice ladles in the middle rack does the trick, I do that too sometimes. Priyanka! I agree with Hemangi that you should go for a 14 place setting. We are 2 people in the house and we still use 14 as we use a lot of vessels while cooking :D.

Hi Saumya, I admire your very crisp and clear videos .. I have a Faber built in dishwasher, like you said few detergents work well and others don’t do the job. Sometimes I face the milk, tea and rice vessel not being cleaned to satisfaction.. what could be the reason? Also, for daily utensils which mode do u prefer to operate? Do u use 90 mins cycle? Your inputs will be of great help
Hi! Thanks for the feedback! For daily wash I always use the auto cycle - the 90 min cycle does not give the requires performance. Which detergent are you using? And your salt setting is ok? Sometimes with the incorrect salt setting also washing is not adequate
@@TheGrapevineIndia Hi thanks for the reply.. first I used Faber make powder as the technician sold that to me when he came for installation, but the performance was very pathetic and I was thinking the dishwasher cleaning was a myth then came across your video’s and bought finish product, it’s going good except for the vessels I mentioned in my message, salt level I have kept 3 coz our water ph level is around 315.. Is this setting optimum or should I change?
The reason why lower rack vessels get cleaned much better is because of powerful spray from lower wings. Upper wings do not have enough power. That's why you should not place lighter items like plastic at bottom rack. It will just topple it. I have seen it multiple times. It's not because of heat. The dishwasher heats only the water and it reaches each and every corner in dishwasher.
Hey.. your reviews are good. Keep making such wonderful content. Since your focus is on home appliances, i would recommend that you do content in hindi as well...probably Hinglish. Many of the housewives may benefit from it as a lot of them may not understand English always. Your videos have convinced me to get a dishwasher :). Once again.. keep doing the great work. 👍🥰
Hi Satish! Thanks for such kind words and the constructive feedback! I should try hinglish - being a south Indian - while I can speak Hindi, I'm conscious of the fluency. But everything can be learnt and I never say never . So maybe soon. 😀
From the food science perspective, milk contains protein which solidifies with heat. Rice contains starch which hardens with exposure to air due to dehydration. The solution to both would be presoak in cold water and followed preferably by a light scrub before placing these soiled utensils in the DW.
Very useful video Saumya.. we have very hard water in our area.Does Faber has in built water softener.i am just assessing between Faber; IFB and Bosch..what would be your recommendation.really appreciate your clear feedback
Hi Nagvansiv! All dishwashers these days have inbuilt water softeners. But there is a max limit of water hardness they support - around 900ppm. If your area has higher, you will need an external water softener. I use the Faber - have been very happy with experience as you see in the video. It’s newer model than IFB and Bosch.
Thank you for detailed feedback..Any comments on after sales service..can you post video on available water softeners for washing machine or dishwashers..I have heard some from Kent and 3M but not much details about these
Agree with ur point abt provision of space. We struggled with this too. If its one's own house, we can tweak and make provisions. If staying in a rented accomodation, we need to ensure everytime we shift house, if all our appliances will fit properly. We measured the appliance in the shop when fully open & then marked out the space on the floor at home. We used the space provided for washing machine, as power point and water hook up were in place. For washing machine, we did our own "jugaad" in the bathroom.
haha yes, I hope going forward atleast by default a provision for multiple large equipments are made. I know now people also prefer a separate washer and dryer. Add a dishwasher to that, the utility can start getting quite crowded!
Hi dear. Your video's are really helpful. I just bought a Bosch series 6 dishwasher. Was very excited. But I'm getting some soapy feel on the utensils. I used Bosch tablets and then finish tablets as well. Same soapy touch. I didn't use salt or rinse aid. Since I stay in Mumbai and the water is pretty soft. Can you suggest something for this issue. I would be really grateful.
Hi Deepti, do consider adding a rinse aid - you can keep it at the lowest setting. You can also run a cycle with just vinegar and try again - this can help at times. Don't be disheartened - dishwasher will take a while to get the settings and products right. Once you get it right, it is a big boon.
Hi, I am looking for following features in a dishwasher: 1. 3 racks are a must 2. Budget not much of a constraint 3. Low maintenance cost 4. Cleaning performance should be excellent I am confused between following 3 models. Can you pls suggest your opinion about which is preferred to buy: bosch sms46ki03i siemens sn236i01ki ifb sx1 dishwasher
Hi Pranali, I recommend the Bosch model amzn.to/3greJCi. Bosch product specs are good, known for dishwashers in the Indian market and service is known to be good (depends on the area you live at), Siemens and Bosch are essentially the same management. Recently IFB has been known to have some service issues.
1. The top most rack , the spoons and all don’t seam to dry , is it normal or just an issue in mine ? 2. Tea vessels also don’t get cleaned 3. Sometimes the middle rack utensils have water that’s not dried off completely from the utensils 4. Does rinse aid get finished quicker if we have hard water , I’ve put a hard water filter in my dishwasher but how do I know if I still have hard water more than the level it can handle . I have the same model as yours I’ve recently purchased kindly help
1. It does dry completely except plastics. Pls ensure you are placing it right 2. Are you keeping it in the bottom rack? Use intense cycle if it is highly stained. 3. Only plastics don't dry completely. Others should be dry. 4. No, salt does.
Few questions. 1. You mentioned that you directly place the dirty place in dishwashers. This would result in morning plates, to be there in the dishwasher for around 12 hours if not more. Won't this lead to dried out and tough stains? Generally, people recommend keeping the dirty plates in water so that it's easy to clean. What's your experience with this? And what do you recommend? 2. Can you provide some links of the kadhayi or other utensils you bought? Specially kadhayi is mostly hindolium in most of the houses, so it'll be helpful.
Hi Aseem, I have had instances where it stays in the dishwasher before wash for over 12 hours. Yes it could dry it out - but these days dishwasher and detergent technology has improved significantly that does not require pre-rinsing. If you do have issues - you could run a quick rinse cycle before the main cycle. Sure, here are few of my favorites - Bergner and Borosil are brands I like - here are the ones I use www.amazon.in/shop/thegrapevineindia?listId=1Z5JSHAK7E1WA&ref=idea_share_inf
@@TheGrapevineIndia Thanks. And regarding cookers I had a doubt. Even if we take up a stainless steel one, still the lids would need to be washed by hand right?
Hi Jay - I have found the dishwasher fairly low maintenance. I clean the filters frequently, clean along the doors when it gets dirty and run it with vinegar once a month or so. I descaled it once in the last year - but it is good to do that atleast once in 3-6 months. I've made a video here on how to clean the dishwasher - if that interests you th-cam.com/video/Zel7U2U2TAE/w-d-xo.html
Hi Rashmi, thank you 😊 I have not used the eco mode much as it is a longer cycle and my usual auto cycle itself is 2.5 hours. It’s expected to save a bit more water compared to the regular cycle.
actually USA has been using dishwashers for more than 100 years. USA and European Union have standardized most of the gadgets, including dishwashers. As per strict standards every dishwasher in world is required to have a cycle which consumes not more than 1 unit of electricity. This cycle is called Eco Cycle. Eco cycle is extremely good if you happen to be a regular user of dishwasher because - (1) your electricity consumption is within control. (2) Even with low cost detergents (Not Tablet) , you get sparkling clean utensils. (3) As it use moderate temperature and water jets, the utensils do not lose shine. Eco cycle may take 2 to 3 hours, depending on a particular brand. While using Eco cycle, we use delay mode to allow the dishwasher to start about at 3.30 a.m. so that by 7 a.m., utensils are available to us.
A few things that helped me get better results for the burnt kadais: 1. I use the intensive kadai mode. 2. If the kadai was used in the previous meal, i.e. it has had some time to cake in, I use a pre-rinse cycle with 3-5 gm of detergent sprinkled on the door. 3. If I have a burnt kadai or a milk/tea pan which will probably get washed after the next meal vessels are also available, I do a normal pre rinse cycle immediately and then do the required wash cycle once all the vessels are available for wash. 4. Dishwashers were originally designed for having some detergent available even in the pre-rinse cycle but with the rise of the all in one tablets, such a receptacle is no longer present in several dishwashers. Dishwashers work better with some detergent in pre-rinse cycle. Sprinkling some on the door before closing it is a reasonable work around. I do that for all wash cycles now. I have had good results. 5. Vessels which I know will give trouble, I take care to ensure that they will be squarely in the path o the water jets during operation. After a few times, it becomes pretty intuitive. Rice ladles are bowl shaped. The top drawer which generally contains flat cutlery is generally inadequate for them. I treat these as a bowl with a handle and I place them accordingly in the middle rack. I am planning to use a different dishwasher detergent. My current one from fortune admittedly contains phosphates, also, I am hoping that other detergents might do a better job.
Hi! Great great feedback! I may perhaps share this on my community for others to benefit! I also try to keep the rice ladles in the middle rack when possible. With the Kadai, the challenge for me is that it's the only one that needs intensive wash, everything else a standard wash will do. Since the washing is mostly done - I just scrub a bit after the wash to get rid of the burnt stains.
Hi Manoj, that would depend on your water hardness level and salt settings. For me - about once a month. You will either get an indicator or see some signs (for me I see some saltish stains on some plates which indicates to me I need to refill salt)
@@TheGrapevineIndia When I was using Finish, it was once a month. This time I shifted to Bosch and its asking for a refill every 10 days. Now I'll shift back to Finish and see how it goes.
are you still using Faber dishwasher... if yes how its performing and any rusting you noticed yet in trays ? any servicing needed and how's faber aftersales service ?
@@TheGrapevineIndia thank you for your reply... good to know Faber performing well. seeing so many reviews abt it rusting just lil over 1 year so wanted to know from your experience. Thanks again.
Hi Tanvijn, where are you placing your tea vessels? The bottom tray gets the most intensive wash - so ideally you should place it there. If you are already doing that - you probably need to experiment a bit with your tablet & detergent. Which one are you using? For me - with some other detergents - I had this issue, but when I switched to Finish, did not have an issue anymore.
Hi, I have being watching ur vidoes on Dishwasher, just wanna know would you recommend Faber dishwasher, I m a bit confused, was looking forward for the Bosch model. Can u plz guide. Also what are the preps we need to do before getting a dishwasher, I mean the power, water, drain n so on.
Hi Manuja! I would recommend Faber - I'm very happy with it. service will depend on where you live, for me it has been OK. Bosch is a safe bet - it has been tried and tested in the market, the cycle times are shorter and also restarts from where it stopped in case of a power fluctuation. Regarding preps - I cover that in my Faber demo video - here th-cam.com/video/bvs1-WTz6zc/w-d-xo.html
Hi Somya, We purchased a Faber 8 place setting dishwasher and started using it yesterday. Its works amazing. But the problem I face is how to place the dishes. Can you suggest how to place the dishes for effective cleaning.
Hi Mayank, you can see a quick demo in this th-cam.com/video/bvs1-WTz6zc/w-d-xo.html. This is for 14 place setting, 8 place setting will be slightly smaller size without the top tray.
I feel dishwasher height should be more...as in it should have a 3 tier variant, to accommodate loads of utensils used in most Indian households... I absolutely love that we are finally moving towards automation in Indian homes.... reducing dependency on external help to a great extent. I would keep a maid as a backup with minimal work, very minimal dependency 😉
Hi Maya! True, but the middle rack can be adjusted in most full sized dishwashers - so if you have larger vessels you can adjust that. Secondly - if the dishwasher has 3 trays, the top tray in some of the models can be collapsed by half, so you can still keep cutlery on one side and higher height vessels in the middle one.
Very good suggestion. Basically dishwashers are integral part of kitchen. That is why, almost all the dishwashers have identical dimensions. Probably till the dimensions of dishwasher are revised, having a supplementary 8 place dishwasher in kitchen would solve the problem. Beko has 8 place dishwashers also. Abroad, Beko has slimline series of dishwashers, which have height of a 14 place dishwasher but are very narrow to get accommodated in small kitchen, under the kitchen top.
Mam, after seeing ur vedio u explained nicely nd v purchased siemens in Feb 2021. During night v load the machine nxt day Morning v get sparkling vessels, many tnks
Like robot vacuum videos, this series for videos about dish washer has made me to put a dish washer in my bucket list. As you mentioned, the first hurdle is the provision that needs to be made before even thinking about buying one. I have a constraint that i need this machine to be placed at bit high stand/surface, in that case will that be a problem Saumya?. Are we allowed to place them in which ever height we need?.
Hi Vigneshwaran! How high are you considering? If you want it on a counter, better to get the table top version. I don't see an issue with placing it at a height, you would require provisions for the inlet and outlet.
I've had my Faber Tabletop 8 place dishwasher for several weeks now and I love it. The milk boiler goes in directly without even rinsing and comes out sparkling. I chose that instead of the Voltas Beko because they seem to be identical except for the price. Have you expanded on the "no need to pre rinse or scrub" point anywhere else? I need some backing evidence because I want to try and prevent my MIL from practically scrubbing everything 90% clean before I load the machine because perversely I feel like the dishes she scrubs actually seem to retain a thin film of some residue. I've had violent disagreements on this issue with my mom and my atta also, both saying dishwashers involve a lot of work with scrubbing and rinsing before loading and if one has to do that one might as well go the whole hog and wash everything oneself. We use traditional stainless steel plates with a 1.5" rim and I manage to squeeze them in, and even my 8L Hawkins tall cooker once. I'm not putting in the lids because the nonstick black handle part got discoloured, plus I worry about the pressure valves. For the rice ladle, I usually jam it in the lower rack between dishes and that does tend to give me better results. I used Finish products for my first month but I've ordered Amazon's Presto brand and will see how they work. I'm in Vizag on top of a hill and I'm not sure what sort of water is pumped to us, but after experimenting I've turned my hard water gauge all the way up to maximum. Would it harm the machine or dishes in any way if this is actually too high? I love your videos, thank you for the work you do and the effort you put it. I already have an Air Fryer, but I've never been able to make my microwave with a combo convection function work like an actual oven. Do you have any tips to help me use my MW (or the air fryer) as a "proper oven"?
Hi Swapna! That’s a long post 😊 thanks for taking the time to write to me. I do mention it in many videos that modern dishwashers do not need pre rinsing or scrubbing. They actually require some amount of gunk to do the job well. When the vessel is too burnt, you can still put it in the dishwasher and if it does not go, wash later - effort is much lower. I have stuck to finish products as they work well for me. As for salt, if your dishes are not washed properly, you can fiddle with that setting. Otherwise you are good to go. About air fryer - you can look for many air fryer cake recipes online - it will guide you. 😊
@@TheGrapevineIndia Thank you. I did rather write an essay, didn't I? Now I just need to convince all the older ladies of my family (and maybe some younger ones, who knows!) about the importance of leaving gunk. My first bottle of Finish detergent came in clumped solid so I had to cut away the plastic and break it down into powder again. That's why I thought I'd try something different this time.
Oh that does not seem right. Its strange but apparently these dishwasher products have an expiry. Maybe it was an older one that got delivered to you? Yeah - just tell them to try it once! Then they will be convinced. It’s easier to do 5% of work rather than 100% of work. The job of these devices is to help with the 95%. Yes sometimes there are issues with not cleaning properly, but the effort to reclean those is minimal 😊
Mam I am confused about which dishwasher to buy- Faber or Bosch? Which one do you suggest? Time to wash vessels Bosch is taking less time right....please reply..
@@TheGrapevineIndia Thanks a lot for such a quick reply..... Does this function is not present in Faber , Mam Faber is getting at much a cheaper price compare to bosch.
Hi Saumya, your videos are really informative and useful. I would like to suggest you to upgrade the mic you use for video recording. It will surely amplify the efforts you put in producing the videos.
Ur videos are alawa us very informative. U have mentioned that u don’t pre rinse/rinse before loading. Are u using the full cycle like more than 2 hours one?
Hi ma'am, thanks for your recommendations. I had purchased Bosch 13 plates settings Dishwasher 3 months ago and we are quite satisfied with the performance. However, for last few days, I have been noticing few issues like not upto the mark cleaning and brownish staines on the dishes. Checked everything like hardness, rinse aid. Can you decode this problem for us ??
Hi Neerendra, recommend to run a cleaning and descaling cycle frequently. I have made a different video on that here th-cam.com/video/Zel7U2U2TAE/w-d-xo.html
Hey Saumya! In my experience, in general SS, glass, ceramic and stoneware cleans really well tea vessel doesn't come out clean. I have tried all settings but havnt found the solution yet. Any thoughts?
Dear Soumya,Nice video.I brought whirlpool 14 place power clean technology dishwasher last sept 2020 just as first lockdown opening( had limited choice due to unavailabilty at that point in time).I find dishes milk vessel; tea vessels are not cleaned well.Do you face this issue?if yes let me know solution to surpass this challenge.I get only 85 percent cleaning of vessels.is that a common occurence. Please let me know?
Hi Suvasini! Thank you! I did the same last year - Faber was the only option for me. But I don’t have that issue. What is the detergent/ tablet that you use? What is the water hardness in your area and what’s your salt setting? And lastly which rack do you keep these vessels in?

can you do a review of the dishwasher tablets if you can? i did some research if they are worth while after all and i am hearing negative stuff about tablets.., curious to know what your opinion on this is like.. there are some new ones in the amazon now like finish powerball classic, max in one, powerball ultimate , etc...
Hi Anand, I do use Finish tablet itself and find it gives me best performance. I use the Finish max all in one amzn.to/3lr7POu and have found the best performance with this. What negative things are you hearing about tablets?
@@TheGrapevineIndia this is the video it’s ping but it explains how dishwashers typically work and how a tablet that is supposed to do three things lasts just one step during the overall wash process. th-cam.com/video/_rBO8neWw04/w-d-xo.html feels like just a marketing gimmick. May be it’s just a phase where tablets look like the best in thing but eventually everyone will realize
Also point to be noted the per tablet cost is about 22rupees. We can get it for around 19rupees at finish website directly. But the same tablet is available as a 124 pack in USA (Costco) for 12rupees per tablet. :(
Thanks Anand! Will take a look at it :) yeah Finish tablets are fairly expensive - actually any imported "luxury" products get ridiculously expensive in India.
Hai madam, I have recently subscribed your channel and I should appreciate you for disseminating new information about the latest household machines. I intent to buy a 12 / 14 place dishwasher. Heard that Hafele dish washer is a good one. What is your openion? It will be highly appreciable if you could do a review on hafele dishwasher performance. Thank you in advance, Kuruvila.Joseph
Every Dishwasher performs on 3 basic mandates, set by USA and European Union. As such every dishwasher is bound to give you good cleaning. Even then, if you buy an established company's dishwasher, you are assured of long term availability of spares and after sales service. Voltas, Faber, Bosch, IFB, Siemens are few good brands, with good track record. I have used LG and Voltas Beko dishwashers. While visiting my son and daughter in law in US, I had the opportunity of using Bosch also. LG has certain issues, you can visit showrooms to evaluate the dishwashers. Voltas is in my use, I can say that it is a wonderful Dishwasher.
I am getting bubbles of finish detergent Powder i in my Steel glasses n also my vessels feel little bit soapy. What is the cause? Please help me ( I am having Bausch dishwasher)
Hi Sheetal, this could be due to variety of reasons. You may be using too much detergent or your hard water setting is not correct or you may need to clean your dishwasher. Check this video on how to clean -> HOW TO CLEAN YOUR DISHWASHER IN INDIA- th-cam.com/video/Zel7U2U2TAE/w-d-xo.html
Thanks Somya . I am using Finish tablet . TDS in water in our area is 227 so the technician set water hardness level to 5. He also clear the machine with the scale power. Still facing the same problem
The Bausch technician is say this is because of adding rinse aid so I stopped using it. Now I am using Bosch salt n finish tablet but the problem is not solved
I agree Dishwasher is a time and effort saver. In these times many are putting away the house helpers and relying on these gadgets.Let us make sure that we do not create unemployment and trouble for our maids while we are adopting to this new life style.
I still employ them for cleaning the kadai, pocha etc..there should be a vedio on what work can be got done by the house helpers along with these gadgets.
Hi Sowmya, need your help. I have ordered 12 place setting FFSD 6PR 12 Neo Black dishwasher ,costs 27650 and going to get it by tomorrow. 27.1.22. Amazon says it gives 2 years warranty whereas Faber gives only one year warranty period. And the item is not returnable too. What to do. Shall I buy or send back. And what's the difference between same model 35000 rupees and this 27000 rupees. Plz explain and your valuable Suggestions plz
Hi, Faber website is 1 year- and that is what will be valid. Typically there is a difference in pricing in colors. White is generally cheapest, grey and black are more expensive. Typical warranties for dishwashers are 1 year in general.
My God... Fastest reply from a TH-camr... Kudos to you..... Plz answer whether to accept to buy Neo Black or not. What's the difference between Neo Black-27000 rupees and black -35000 rupees. Plz explain.
Sorry to respond so late. Voltas Beko (DF14S2), costing around 37000/- has 12 years warranty on motor. It has many benefits which no other dishwasher would offer. With change in cost, features, which are of use get enhanced. A dishwasher may have 2 spray arms. another may have 2 spray arms and a top rotating spray, Another dishwasher like Voltas Beko will have 3 spray arms and a fourth top rotating spray. Having a cutlery tray is another dimension. If you have already purchased a dishwasher, stay happy, as any dishwasher in the world is well equipped to handle dirty utensils. If you are in the process of buying a dishwasher, You can buy as per your needs.
Hi Saumya. Great video. I agree with you regarding the DW now becoming a necessity in the kitchen, if I speak for myself. I must say, the sneak peak of your kitchen was lovely! What a beautiful kitchen and utility area!!! Am I being too cheeky if I ask for a kitchen/utility area tour? 😄 I do understand if you aren’t comfortable with it. But couldn’t resist asking...:) Thanks for your videos...they are so well thought out.
Hi Sonali! Awww thank you so much😀We recently got it redone. I can plan for a tour soon :) Waiting for lockdown to be over so I can get the chimney attached which will complete the remodel.
Hi Somya, Thanks. Can you let me know any scheduled maintenance performed during 1 yr. I also own the same model. I clean the filter periodically and nothing apart from that 😂
Hi Somnath! Same with me. I have found the dishwasher fairly low maintenance.
As soon as I on my Faber dishwasher 14 place setting all the three indicators of rinse aid salt and one more red light indicator once blinks and goes....what does this mean
Hi Saumya, I just watched your video, Great insights!! I would like mention that we bought a Bosch dishwasher 3 months back and sometimes it does end up cleaning charred tea pans. However on somedays it doesnt. I would like to know if you or any of your viewers have faced this inconsistency in cleaning? We are using Finish products for our dishwasher. Let us know if you come across this comment. Thankyou :)
Hi Teetam! Thanks for sharing :) Yes, there is an inconsistency with deep charred vessels - I face that too. There is really no good answer to that currently - it could be due to a variety of reasons - the position of placing the vessel, the combination of salt and rinse aid, etc. I normally tend to ignore the one of cases and hand wash them myself after the wash :) I'm told the latest Finish Quantum tablets help to solve these - have not tried it myself. When I do, and it works, will let you know!
@@TheGrapevineIndia Hi Saumya, Yes i would like to inform that when our Bosch Dishwasher was delivered we did recieve a free sample of the Finish Quantum Powerball which really did end up cleaning the charred tea pans. However i bit unsure in the beginning that it was because of the Finish powerball that we got a clean vessel but now with your comment i can totally relate that it might have because of the powerball. Thankyou so much for your response :)
Longer cycles (more than 150 minutes) normally clean dirty utensils, including tea and milk pots. Voltas Beko has a fourth spray arm, which throws hot water at 5 times the normal pressure and normally cleans everything. Practically, giving a little scrubbing to tough burnt marks is better than using very hot cycles and strong tablets BEAUSE, in long run, the hard chemicals dim the flowery designs of dinner plates and leave etching marks on glass bowls and glasses. Using tough cycles and tablets is ok if it is used occasionally. We have experienced that for regular cleaning, Eco and Auto cycles or 60 minutes cycles are very good, even if it requires little scrubbing, which hardly takes 60-80 seconds.
Hi @Jy Ga - I use cast iron vessels from Indus valley and they are quite good. I also like the Bergner brand utensils in general - including their cast iron vessels amzn.to/3d5Y2tR
Hi Saumya, I was looking for dishwasher and luckily i measured my kitchen's dimensions. Mine is a semi modular kitchen. And when i planned to keep it beneath the counter top i identified that it was 200mm short in height. The gap beneath the counter top is 690mm whereas the usual dishwashers height is at 845mm. Any ideas on this? Do we have any dishwasher at 600mm height?
@@TheGrapevineIndia Cool! I saw one model in IFB (Neptune VX112 Place Setting) where the spec sheet in the webpage says W x D x H as 850 x 598 x 598 (mm). Not sure if it is a mistake or it is actually 600mm in height.
Is is mandatory to remove the dishes immediately after the wash cycle is completed? Will it harm the utensils or the dishwasher if utensils are left in the machine even after the wash cycle is completed?
Hey saumya, m using faber 8plate dishwasher from past 1 month but sometimes detergent is left inside that pocket, do u have any idea y is it so? It has happened 3-4 times in a month.
Hi Pakhi! This can happen due to a few things: 1. Detergent is old and hence clumped up 2. Too much detergent is used 3. Detergent container was wet and caused the detergent to clump If you take care of these three - in general you should not see the problem again.
Hi! This could happen if the coating is removed. Please check with your service center - you may need to replace the racks as it is not safe to use a rusted rack. The coating can be removed in case some vessels with sharp edges nicked off the coating. So you may need to take care of that while loading and unloading your dishwasher.
Hello ma’am, can you please do a kitchen and utility tour? Mostly utility actually if you have both your washing machine and dishwasher outside. I don’t have kitchen space and I don’t want to invest 1 lac for a counter dishwasher. So an idea would help. :) Thank you :)
Honestly both non stick & aluminium are not good for health, so best to discard. Having kept dishwasher in mind,i had donated any such utensils almost a year prior to getting my dishwasher.....so that i get used to steel & cast iron over time I find dishwasher is best kept in a slightly ventilated space, like the utility, close to the sink.
Hi Maya, exactly! I have never used non-stick and aluminium I have given away almost all of the ones I have. Only my idli plates are aluminium which still need to be replaced with stainless steel.
Hi Shelley - I have done a review on table top dishwashers here - th-cam.com/video/yRFI-8oIt4w/w-d-xo.html. Voltas beko 8 place setting is good for small family or if you are limited on space.
Hi Saurabh! Oh, what type of utensils are you using and where are you placing the vessel? Also which detergent / tablet? Like I mentioned in this video - that needs some experiment with different types to know what works best for your hard water conditions.
@@TheGrapevineIndia hmmmm...I was curious because we use two such vessels and those are the ones that get oil stained the most because of Sambar and upma/poha preparation....I'm looking to buy a dishwasher, but there's only two of us at home and I'm totally confused now...I'm looking for something that'll last long and isn't too gimmicky as in doesn't have wifi and what not...what's your suggestion?
Hi Pramod, we are two of us as well and find the dishwasher extremely useful. Yes it may need some adjustment to the vessels you use (like replace aluminium, plastics and such) but quite useful. If budget is not a concern, go for a Faber or Bosch or Votals 13/14 place setting dishwasher. If it is, go for a Faber 12 place setting or Voltas 14 place setting (basic model).
Hi Anisetty, are you using a rinse aid? You may need to increase the setting if you already are. Also what type of dishes are not dry? Generally plastics don't dry completely - unless you have steam dry.
for my my dishwasher is garbage. doesnt do jack shit. sometimes it looks like water doesnt even touch the bowls or example. even the company technician says that the thing can only clean plates and anything on which food is stuck or dried cant be cleaned by the dishwasher.
That is not true at all. I think you are probably not using the right settings. Modern dishwashers don't even need you to rinse before using the dishwasher. Yes if it is burnt or stuck - it will have an issue.
@@TheGrapevineIndia idont know what modern means here but mine is from 2018. And no it doesnt do anything. the company just pin points fingers at detergent brand and salt brand and rinse aid and all that but in my opinion the actual machine is pretty useless. Ill compile some videos
Hi Pravin! Where are you keeping the tea vessel? Bottom rack will be the best as it has most heat and water spray flow? Also which detergent / tablet? Like I mentioned in this video - that needs some experiment with different types to know what works best for your water conditions.
@@TheGrapevineIndia I bought dishwasher recently and I gone through all your videos and tips. Love your style of delivery. I place the tea vessels in the bottom rack. I have tried multiple modes and the results are same. I have changed the water softener level to the highest. Tried finish and fortune detergent. I have also checked a lot of feedback on Amazon. If you check the comments everyone talks about the tea vessel.
@@pravincpoojari I used to face this but it depends on a few things and here’s my opinion , I have seen that with heavy bottomed stainless steel tea does not burn that much. If there is brown bits left after making tea, then the dishwasher would find it hard. Also these brown bits happen more when we reheat tea. My experience got better when we started using milk cooker and tri ply stainless steel cookware. But if we use the normal stainless steel with just single wall, it can burn milk and dishwasher would definitely not be able to handle it. Using a more stronger detergent may help but we have to do trial and error. Using tablets may help as they are stronger. Also when using milk pans you can try adding some little bit of detergent into the Pre wash compartment of dishwasher or simply into the dishwasher along with vessels so that it soaks for longer tome and there is better chance of dirt removal.
Hi Pravin & Anand - that is true, most people do have issues with the tea and milk vessels. Some very good options provided by Anand here! I have had these issues before with tea and playing around with some salt settings and tablets worked. Sometimes even a clean using vinegar worked for subsequent cycles. Yes - burnt dishes or tea vessels which have heat marks on the side due to heating do not get cleaned. Even in the case of normal scrub, those take more scrubbing to clean. Recently a viewer tried the vinegar solution for cleaning and it worked for them. Unfortunately in cSe of dishwasher there is a bit of trial and error till we get it right. It can cause a bit of frustration I understand 😞
*What are your experiences with the dishwasher?* Tell me - Saumya
I m using dw from just 12 days.. really really happy... nice video
Peace and love

Hi Sanjana, ofcourse! Here it is :) th-cam.com/video/lUUmvvgtmbY/w-d-xo.html

Really thank you for your so supportive response. 👏 😊
Any particular reason why you bought voltas inspite of owning LG?
As always, awesome clarifications. Thank you so much Atul sir for sharing your experience!
Hi Atul Sir! Thanks for sharing :)
As u suggested I purchased faber .using last 8months its working very well .....thank u .
I really like your videos. Just one suggestion, get a new mic. It will hugely improve the production quality.
Hi Priyank, thanks so much for the feedback. Appreciate it. It's coming soon :)
@@TheGrapevineIndia if you can, consider rode wireless go 2. its got some raving reviews online...,also easy for even laymen to pick up and use with smartphones...
Thanks Anand, I booked that and then switched to a Boya mic (which you will see in my latest video) - Boya is wired - which works well for indoor recording. Maybe someday when we can travel again - then may get a Rode :D
@Dimple - Voltas Beko even the larger sizes (like DF14S2) are quite good, I've been getting good feedback from my viewers.

Try fortune, m using with my 8plate faber dishwasher n all is well since 1 month no stains no salt refill till now(more than a month)
Lol
I adore your channel a lot so informative, to the point and all fresh facts and fresh sensible point of view and does not repeat or state the obvious like many other dishwasher reviews...
Keep up the great work saumya....! Hopefully now ill get myself to do a boshc review similar to how you have done :)
Yay! More the merrier. I think there is a genuine lack of information to aid decisions. So if you make it too for bosch, will be awesome!

Hats off to the machine..
Hi Julie! I find it so useful too! Glad you are too.
Hi, try making it 4 as 3 handles only till about 300ppm. Also try to keep these heavy soiled vessels in bottom rack
Thanks for sharing!
Thank you for detailed feedback..Any comments on after sales service..can you post video on available water softeners for washing machine or dishwashers..I have heard some from Kent and 3M but not much details about these
Hi Nagvansiv, sure I will research that soon and share.
Great work. How about the inside edges of cooker? Does it get cleaned? Since water can't reach that area per se. Thanks
Hi Sidhartt, that gets clean well too. Since water is flowing from different angles, it does reach out there.
@@TheGrapevineIndia Thanks! Good to know. Would be easier to convince my mom! :)
Hi,
I am looking for following features in a dishwasher:
1. 3 racks are a must
2. Budget not much of a constraint
3. Low maintenance cost
4. Cleaning performance should be excellent
I am confused between following 3 models. Can you pls suggest your opinion about which is preferred to buy:
bosch sms46ki03i
siemens sn236i01ki
ifb sx1 dishwasher
Hi Pranali, I recommend the Bosch model amzn.to/3greJCi. Bosch product specs are good, known for dishwashers in the Indian market and service is known to be good (depends on the area you live at), Siemens and Bosch are essentially the same management. Recently IFB has been known to have some service issues.
Bosch dishwasher I have recently bought
I am really satisfied ❤️❤️
Yay! So happy to hear thay 💕
1. The top most rack , the spoons and all don’t seam to dry , is it normal or just an issue in mine ?
2. Tea vessels also don’t get cleaned
3. Sometimes the middle rack utensils have water that’s not dried off completely from the utensils
4. Does rinse aid get finished quicker if we have hard water , I’ve put a hard water filter in my dishwasher but how do I know if I still have hard water more than the level it can handle .
I have the same model as yours I’ve recently purchased kindly help
1. It does dry completely except plastics. Pls ensure you are placing it right
Do you mean stainless steel cooker lids? Not necessarily.
Hi what's your advice on the maintenance part , other than regular cleaning of the dirt.filters any descaler u recommend .thanks in advance
Your videos were helpful in buying a dishwasher for my mother. Thanks very much! Do you use the eco mode? Would love to know your experience with it.
A few things that helped me get better results for the burnt kadais:
@@TheGrapevineIndia I am doing same first let them wash automatically and then I scrub little bit.
Hi Soumya, great video....what's the frequency in which you have to replace the salt ?
Hi Manoj, that would depend on your water hardness level and salt settings. For me - about once a month. You will either get an indicator or see some signs (for me I see some saltish stains on some plates which indicates to me I need to refill salt)
@@TheGrapevineIndia When I was using Finish, it was once a month. This time I shifted to Bosch and its asking for a refill every 10 days. Now I'll shift back to Finish and see how it goes.
Hi Manoj, I use Finish too. And yes - if you are using tablet - the salt consumption can vary based on which one you use - like you rightly said.
are you still using Faber dishwasher... if yes how its performing and any rusting you noticed yet in trays ? any servicing needed and how's faber aftersales service ?
Yes I am. Performing fine so far. Been about 4 years. No rusting yet and haven’t had to use service yet
@@TheGrapevineIndia thank you for your reply... good to know Faber performing well. seeing so many reviews abt it rusting just lil over 1 year so wanted to know from your experience. Thanks again.
You can use TDS meter to check the water hardness and based on that you can use the salt level following with rinse aid...
Hi Amit, Yup true.
I have Bosch dishwasher and I run intensive cycle with tablet/ detergent but tea vessels are not cleaning properly. Any suggestions?
@@TheGrapevineIndia at present very few models have 3 trays....maybe in the future more brands will come out with 3 tier dishwashers
Hi Nagaraj! Awesome, I'm so glad you are getting benefits of a dishwasher!
Ur motivation nd trust I had v will remember u
@@TheGrapevineIndia 95% sounds excellent to me... I was never a centum person :D
Mam I am confused about which dishwasher to buy- Faber or Bosch? Which one do you suggest? Time to wash vessels Bosch is taking less time right....please reply..
Hi @DV xy, yes Bosch takes less time and also resumes from where it stopped if there is a power fluctuation. You can opt for Bosch.

One more video for your reference th-cam.com/video/jNN71C39o8M/w-d-xo.html
Thanks Anand! Will take a look at it :) yeah Finish tablets are fairly expensive - actually any imported "luxury" products get ridiculously expensive in India.
Hai madam, I have recently subscribed your channel and I should appreciate you for disseminating new information about the latest household machines.
I intent to buy a 12 / 14 place dishwasher. Heard that Hafele dish washer is a good one. What is your openion? It will be highly appreciable if you could do a review on hafele dishwasher performance.
Thank you in advance,
Kuruvila.Joseph
Hi Kuruvila, thank you for subscribing 😊 sure I will review that soon.
Sorry descal powder
I agree Dishwasher is a time and effort saver. In these times many are putting away the house helpers and relying on these gadgets.Let us make sure that we do not create unemployment and trouble for our maids while we are adopting to this new life style.
I still employ them for cleaning the kadai, pocha etc..there should be a vedio on what work can be got done by the house helpers along with these gadgets.
Hi Maithree! You are right on that aspect. We have been paying our maid for the last year, but not called her back.
Pls replay which is Best dishwashers
Hi Shejis, you can go for amzn.to/2QcPgSA if you have budget, or can consider amzn.to/3t5CMe5 or amzn.to/2OzFQAb.
But couldn’t resist asking...:)
Thanks for your videos...they are so well thought out.
Hi Sonali! Awww thank you so much😀We recently got it redone. I can plan for a tour soon :) Waiting for lockdown to be over so I can get the chimney attached which will complete the remodel.
@@TheGrapevineIndia
Thanks for replying, Saumya!! Lovely!! Waiting in gleeful anticipation....😊
Hi Somya, Thanks. Can you let me know any scheduled maintenance performed during 1 yr. I also own the same model. I clean the filter periodically and nothing apart from that 😂
Hi Somnath! Same with me. I have found the dishwasher fairly low maintenance.
Ma'am you are using which brand you are using
Hi Shelley, I'm using the Faber Dishwaher 14 place setting.
Looking forward to ur recommendation and feedback on cast iron vessels
Hi @Jy Ga - I use cast iron vessels from Indus valley and they are quite good. I also like the Bergner brand utensils in general - including their cast iron vessels amzn.to/3d5Y2tR
@@TheGrapevineIndia thanks for ur prompt reply
What about fat on utensils after cooking non veg?
Which brand of dishwasher are you using at your place.
Hi Sumita- I’m using Faber.
Thanks 😊
Hi Saumya, I was looking for dishwasher and luckily i measured my kitchen's dimensions. Mine is a semi modular kitchen. And when i planned to keep it beneath the counter top i identified that it was 200mm short in height. The gap beneath the counter top is 690mm whereas the usual dishwashers height is at 845mm. Any ideas on this? Do we have any dishwasher at 600mm height?
Hi Sivakumaran, a tabletop version would work. Most full sized ones are over 80cm. Table top ones are 60cm. So that would be 8 place setting
@@TheGrapevineIndia Cool! I saw one model in IFB (Neptune VX112 Place Setting) where the spec sheet in the webpage says W x D x H as 850 x 598 x 598 (mm). Not sure if it is a mistake or it is actually 600mm in height.
Which time cycle do you use mostly in your dishwasher??
Hi Maya - I use the auto cycle - which is about 2.5 hours in Faber.
Is is mandatory to remove the dishes immediately after the wash cycle is completed? Will it harm the utensils or the dishwasher if utensils are left in the machine even after the wash cycle is completed?
Hi Anil, not necessary. You can leave it there and remove it later.
Whether the stand below dishwasher is required ? If I want to integrate within kitchen cabinet, I cannot place a stand.
Hi Sunil, stand is not mandatory.
@@TheGrapevineIndia thanks for prompt response. All your videos are very informative and of good quality 🙂 👍🏻
Hey saumya, m using faber 8plate dishwasher from past 1 month but sometimes detergent is left inside that pocket, do u have any idea y is it so?
It has happened 3-4 times in a month.
Detergent box k सामने utensils aa jaate h tb aisa hota h
@@पाठशाला-ल5स I try my level best, still it happens
Hi Pakhi! This can happen due to a few things:
1. Detergent is old and hence clumped up
2. Too much detergent is used
3. Detergent container was wet and caused the detergent to clump
If you take care of these three - in general you should not see the problem again.
Can I wash Sujatha mix jar in a dishwasher
Hi Athira, since it is made of ss, in general - yes. Keep it in the top rack. Also check once in the manual.
Hello! Could you please tell me if baby feeding bottles, it's nipples and straws are dw safe or not?
Hi Tulika, depends on the brand. Look for the dishwasher safe symbol on the bottle to be sure.
My dishwasher rack is rusting what to do to prevent further rusting.. please let me know
Hi! This could happen if the coating is removed. Please check with your service center - you may need to replace the racks as it is not safe to use a rusted rack. The coating can be removed in case some vessels with sharp edges nicked off the coating. So you may need to take care of that while loading and unloading your dishwasher.
Kindly also check if your salt chamber is leaking? Salt corrodes the metals very easily.
Hello ma’am, can you please do a kitchen and utility tour?
Mostly utility actually if you have both your washing machine and dishwasher outside. I don’t have kitchen space and I don’t want to invest 1 lac for a counter dishwasher.
So an idea would help. :)
Thank you :)
Hi Sanjana, sure I can plan for it. I place both my washing machine and dishwasher in the utility.
What about food processor parts?
Btw, would there be any utility in combining both, a table top as well as a free standing dishwasher?
Hi! Not sure your question is clear to me - how do you mean combining?
Honestly both non stick & aluminium are not good for health, so best to discard. Having kept dishwasher in mind,i had donated any such utensils almost a year prior to getting my dishwasher.....so that i get used to steel & cast iron over time
I find dishwasher is best kept in a slightly ventilated space, like the utility, close to the sink.
Hi Maya, exactly! I have never used non-stick and aluminium I have given away almost all of the ones I have. Only my idli plates are aluminium which still need to be replaced with stainless steel.
Each and every point explained so well.
Keep going.
Thanks a ton!
Ma'am I am planning to buy Volta's beko table top 8 plate setting. What is your take on it. Please give your feedback
Hi Shelley - I have done a review on table top dishwashers here - th-cam.com/video/yRFI-8oIt4w/w-d-xo.html. Voltas beko 8 place setting is good for small family or if you are limited on space.
Mam can I put tupper ware utensils ?
Hi Raja, yes on the top shelf, if marked as dishwasher safe (most are now marked dishwasher safe)
Nice one Dr.... Keep rocking

In my Faber dish washer I show that milk boiled pan, dal cooked in cooker, tea made in pan these type of utensils doesn't get clean.
Hi Saurabh! Oh, what type of utensils are you using and where are you placing the vessel? Also which detergent / tablet? Like I mentioned in this video - that needs some experiment with different types to know what works best for your hard water conditions.

Hi Gurpreet, yes its in the works. In the next 1-2 weeks for sure.

What about copper bottom cauldrons?
Hi Pramod, while I do put copper bottom, it does get discolored in the dishwasher.
@@TheGrapevineIndia thanks....I'll look into all the brands you mentioned...
I recently bought dishwasher but i find in auto mode few dishes r wet still
Hi Anisetty, are you using a rinse aid? You may need to increase the setting if you already are. Also what type of dishes are not dry? Generally plastics don't dry completely - unless you have steam dry.
HI pls make a video for rinse aid settings and how to do it
Hi Anisetty, sure will do that soon.

I thought you are using LG dishwasher
Hi Vijayasri! No, Faber 😊 Some of my viewers and others had issues with LG- that’s why I created this video th-cam.com/video/LoPgFcfHoHU/w-d-xo.html
i guess dishwasher is costly.... deal
its much better to make discipline in home that after finishing meal every member must wash his/her plate.
Hi Vikas, hmm it's very convenient though. That discipline is hard to incorporate, atleast in my house!
for my my dishwasher is garbage. doesnt do jack shit. sometimes it looks like water doesnt even touch the bowls or example. even the company technician says that the thing can only clean plates and anything on which food is stuck or dried cant be cleaned by the dishwasher.
Aluminium and non stick utensils are anyways bad for health. I would happily replace it lol
I agree :)
I have observed that the tea vessel doesn't clean well.
@@anandshankart thanks a lot, that's good suggestion. I was on the fence getting a new Tri ply pan. I think I will get a new one.
