Oh man, this takes me back. Stratovarius were one of the first power metal bands that I really liked, maybe even the first. My roommate at boarding school had gotten their Best Of from his library and we copied it over onto my computer and listened to it up and down for a while. I understand that you're not super sold on Timo Kotipelto's voice, I needed quite a while to warm up to his vocals as well, but they have a certain charm to them for me now. Glad you liked the song otherwise, it's not really innovative within the power metal genre but it's just so well done that I can't help but love it. If you want to check out more of their stuff, my absolute favourite of their songs is their 18-minute-epic Elysium, which encapsulates everything that's great about them. Aside from that, I would like to reiterate my requests from when I made my last comment, just to ensure that you haven't forgotten them :P: - Avatarium - Lady in the Lamp - Oceans of Slumber - The Banished Heart Have a great one, and stay safe during this weird time!
Don't worry, the suggestions aren't forgotten! I just really haven't had any time to make these videos as of late :/ hopefully so I can get back on it! And as far as the vocals go, I'm sure that I can get accustomed to them! If I can enjoy Silencer I'm sure I can enjoy anything haha.
0:30 So I made it about halfway through the video -- not this one; you know which vid I'm talking about -- and I went, "Hold up. Is this Runegate?" Then the credits popped up at the end, and I was like, "Niiiiiice!" And now I get why you've been MIA for so long. Congrats! I'm guessing they were a lot of fun to work with.
awwwwwwwwwwww yeeeeeeeeeeee I'm stoked that you noticed haha! Yes, definitely what was keeping me occupied for the last little while. And super fun to work with!
Juni!! Great to see you again!! I was in despair, and now I have Hope (my new assistant who makes *outstanding* cannabis tea and opens those AWFUL Amazon envelopes that I find so frustrating). You have indeed achieved something beyond humanity's reckoning--most awesome mane. Btw, my high school class voted me most likely to become Emperor of Darkness. Weird coincidence, huh? As far as the video goes, I dug it, as we used to say in 1959, but it was diminished a little by the somewhat overwrought lyrics and occasional cheesy instrumental flourishes. Still, some very tasty guitar work and swell vocals. And talk about Jesus? Well, as The Firesign Theatre used to say, you never know who's gonna drop by.
Dude you look like Carlos Valdes (Cisco from CW's The Flash) I almost freak out when I saw you. Anyway I like how you analyze the song and the lyrics pretty good. I hope you have reacted to Helloween, Gamma-Ray, Blind Guardian, Sabaton, Nightwish, Epic, Kamelot, Symphony X. If you haven't here you go plenty of bands to check out.
Stratovarius is my favorite band from long time ago, always love Destiny, one of the best is Nemesis from the new albums. They are awesome, on live they still rule.
I'm addicted to Stratovarius at the moment. Great timing

it is good to remember that the song is from 1997
Fair point!
For me a little bit picky is from 1998 visions is from 1997, but yes this song is more than 20 years and that means a lot
Out of the fog is probably my favorite song by Stratovarius so I would highly recommend even though it isn't one of their old classics👍🏼
I'll add it to the list!
This is one of their best songs.
Ooo if you love quality Strato , check out Learning to Fly . Or Legions .
Two of their best songs! Legions was my ringtone seven years ago 🤔🤘🏻😎🤘🏻
Quality Strato, you say? Then it's definitely "Season of Change" !
Those female vocals are from child choir, if recall correctly.

Nice! Please react to Stratovarius: Elements, Speed Of Light Elysium.😋 Jens Johansson is my favorite keyboard player.🤘🏻
Please react to Statovarius - Infinity!! :)))
The melody is a bit cliche, but these guys were the ones who made it cliche. FWIW they were one of the pioneers of power metal.
cancion de
