For those interested, this is what I found on the name change in 2006.
"In 2006, Power Metal band Rhapsody had to change its name to Rhapsody of Fire after running into a trademark dispute with Rhapsody parent RealNetworks, which owned the Rhapsody trademark in the United States. The band Rhapsody had been around four years before the launch of the Rhapsody service."

It seems Im not the only one where Rhapsody was a part of there teenage years. This was, in fact, the first metal album I ever bought and holds a special place in my memories. Which makes me even more excited that you rated it this high. Not much more to say, great review as always. :)

This band was part of my teens before I jumped to japanese rock and metal. Used to listen to them a ton alongside Blind Guardian and Helloween and Stratovarius. Can't forget Avantasia too.

Oh Rhapsody. One of the bands that molded my early to late teens musical taste. They have some really good, very technical songs.
As always, thanks for your honest and professional opinion, DH. Even not liking the genre, you can appreciate the quality therein.

This was fun lol. Yes there was a name change in the 2000s. I think it was something to do with something copyright related

They changed their name to "Rhapsody of Fire" after Symphony of Enchanted Lands II. Their first album with the new and current name is "Triumph or Agony".

Rhapsody songs are like perfectly grilled steaks with a bottle of ketchup dumped on them.

To be honest, many bands do this kind of drumming, especially in power metal or melodic death metal, examples Dragonforce, Gamma Ray, Wintersun etc...

I find it interesting that you are not fond of power metal. Apparently there are a lot of variations to the theme as Judas Priest, Sabaton, and Unlucky Morpheus are considered power metal bands and you seem to like them.

All 3 of those bands are actually Heavy Metal bands. None of those bands have ever classified themselves as Powermetal.
