Great choice of final painting Consolation. No need to explain why with this current world. Thanks for sharing this. I think Emin and Munch go well. Both Expressionists. All about feelings and emotions rather than Realism.
Emin is a brave soul exposing her inner world and turmoil and opening up the way for public reaction - good but sadly very harsh as well.
    No surprise there.
Thanks again for this special treat☺

Edward Munch was the true master. Tracy is not to be discounted by any means, but the two artists are different in many ways I think. Tracy's work does not give as much visually, and therefore appears to be less about drawing and painting and more about drama.

Its an insult to Munch to display his work beside the explicit garbage Tracey Emin makes. Too many artists like Emin today want to shock the public to get recognition. Some of her abstract works are ok, though.

Firstly loneliness of the soul... Titled.. they(whoever titled) are abusing the words....Just put those paintings in their context to convince us(and themselves) that those are coming from loneliness of the soul...this artist, I don't think she understands what loneliness is at all... Sorry if I am bitter.. But if no one can see it, I must tell it

..."How dare she compare and put up her scribbles beside Edvard Munch's delightful dour, oppressive daubs of despair. Who does she think she is having the temerity to hang her dreary dribbles next to his tortured tears?"...
...That's how I first thought thinking also "What's she got to, or can, say about Munch?"...
...Inclined not to listen and to 'click away' elsewhere online I click the video's arrowhead involuntarily out of a vague curiosity where one straightway sees she starts her ramble - and, I'm thinking with an internal justified harrumphing "There you are - see" in my po-faced and prejudicial private silence '"This could be a schoolgirl giving an exposition about her Year 11 GCSE art display on the title of 'Emotion'."...
...However, however, however - one is soon humbled by Tracy's enthusiasm, of her passion of her descriptive nous presented on the canvases, of her knowingness of herself, of her own pathology of pain, of inward-looking self-absorption - and, therefore of her affinity to Edvard Munch's expressive painting of tears and heavy woe the both make and have made such arresting, sad, desperate, art of...

why put a random artist with a master such as Munch ?? of course it will smash the sympathetic Emin - i'm happy for her, it's a great honor to be chosen, but at the same time it just show in a harsh way the poor quality of her work compared to E.M.
