I think that tracey emin was very brave going through her cancer diagnosis. I lost by dad, terry about two years ago and my mum had a breast cancer and i know what she is going through to extent! Good luck to tracey and hope she is doing well now! I regularly go to an art group with norrie beswick colvert of eastbank street in southport but this has had to stop and so I have taken to do drawing of the tv drawing celebrities and it has been rewarding! I can't wait to get back to my art class because I love what we do!

Cancer can bring a lot of clarity and you’re on your own at the end of the day. You now have an arsenal for life. It’s a very visceral experience. Much love

Soo pleased that you're on the road to being well and strong again .... You express yourself so well! You're such a creative thinker and 'real' person too! Don't understand why idiots send abusive messages just to hurt people!? Keep up the good work ...xx

Finally a new conversation/lecture from Tracey. I listen to her religiously, she teaches me from where to make art. From what to create, and from what not to create. Thank you Tracey.

Its very sad to hear Tracy had such an aggressive cancer, my sister had very similar problem and I kind of now understand what it must be like, Tracy is an amazing artist.

I like a lot of tracey emin's work and also when my dad was alive I went to a damien hirst retrospective at the tate art gallery in london and that was when my dad was alive! After I left the tate gallery in london I went to the royal college of arts where I meet tracey outside the academy and she asked me about being an artist and what I love about it

I thought the interviewer was rude how he was smiling and talking about his headache, then how her illness was? How strange and rude..

@TraceyEmin, I just watched this, the interview was two years ago. Don't you think the insomnia could have to do with the car accident? You were asleep in your own car and then there was the accident. Trauma lives in the body, not in the mind. It sounds like your body still isn't over the experience, it is still protecting you when you try to go to sleep. When we fall asleep we get into a vulnerable state, we have to be trusting in order to fall asleep. You could try to find a trauma-informed therapist to help you deal with that.

OMG when the interviewer cuts her off and tells her she goes on for ages when she's talking about her mother dyeing. So distasteful. Let her speak as long as she needs to about her cancer and her mum's death.
