I recently read Ulrich Bischoff's book about Munch, so I am glad to discover new paintings not discussed in that introduction to Munch's work. I wished to visit the museum but during the pandemic it closed. However, I hope to visit the Munch museum someday soon.

A beautiful and insightful journey through the life of Munch's women. It felt like you held our hands as we moved from darkness into light.

Thank you. it's nice to see some of the more hopeful Munch paintings. He is too often presented as the painter of darkness and misery.

There’s movement in the right arm that suggests indecision. Interesting. Thanks for posting

1:28 clearly an abstract self portray seemingly about being overwhelmed by the surrounding world that wildly blossoms and outlives the individual and the same time being part of the landscape, meaning, to stop mattering or accepting without actively accepting that age counters the will to matter. The second picture is the opposite, the effortless focal of all desires.

Those gold frames are nasty ,they do nothing for the paintings .
