Maxwell's work is so very much reminescent of Jacob Lawrence. Jacob Armstead Lawrence was an American painter known for his portrayal of African-American historical subjects and contemporary life. Lawrence referred to his style as "dynamic cubism", although by his own account the primary influence was not so much French art as the shapes and colors of Harlem. Thanks once again for sharing your good work.
I enjoyed the London Gallery visits very much. I particularly liked Gray's sculptures. Some things for you to consider. Titles and materials for the works and a little more time to appreciate each work. It may be just me but....Your voice is soft, so turning up the volume made the music a bit too loud for my taste. The music while not bad was very repetitive. Thanks for posting. I appreciate what you are doing.
