My grandson and I were there during his spring break. We drove in from the south rim for the day, from where we were staying. I totally agree with you about the sky walk. We did do the Maverick Helicopter tour while we were there, which takes you down the canyon stopping near the Colorado. Totally awesome, worth every penny. A must do for sure!

The first week the Sky Walk opened my family of 4 went there. We walked out on the walk and it was spectacular! There are Helicopter rides down to the bottom. Once you were at the bottom there was a boat ready to take you on an hour long ride down the River. After the boat ride the helicopter flew you around for a while to see magnificent views. It is an experience our family just loved.

Isaiah's book in the Scriptures, sometimes referred to as the "5th Gospel", was such a beautiful and fitting reading to exalt the Lord while at the Grand Canyon. I'm not sure which family member did the honors..... but your love for Jesus and respect for His word surely shone through.

I was there back in 2011. Was really cool to see the Grand Canyon. I agree I thought the Skywalk was not really worth the extra cost. You don't really see anything you can't see from other vantage points.
Skywalk will be worthit if they include it on the General Admission Ticket with no extra cost. I mean, 50 dollars GA ticket seems a lot already for just a quick walk and stare on those 3 areas.
i work there and every day im amazed by the beautiful views and the interactions with the guests that come i always have a lot of fun its less of a job for me more of an adventure of sorts that i get paid to go on

Hello, I really liked your video, I will be in Las Vegas next month, I would like to know how much the guides normally charge for a simple visit to the Grand Canyon, which of the Canyons is not allowed to take your own camera to take photos?
loved your video so much that we decided to go ahead and do grand canyon west. we could have bought tickets online but glad we didn't because one of my friends got sick the day of so we didnt end up going until the next day. when we got to the pierce ferry road turnoff there was a gas station that advertised tickets but we opted to go on to the site in case we got a breakdown on the way. when we got there it was a bit confusing on the line to stand in. people had to funnel past us to get to the rest room and they had clothes hung against the wall where the line was that people had to file past us to look at. the whole thing was a bit disorganized but once we got thew that line about fifteen min we actually saved six bucks for the three of us vs buying online. we then got right on the bus first because i had a wheel chair. thank gosh for that because it would have been another fifteen min line to the bus. once we got to eagle point and over to the skywalk line they let us go ahead of the line because of the wheelchair but at the point their scanners had all broke down and they could not scan in on line tickets from a guy in front of us with a stroller. they let us go in front of him because we had ticket in hand but then it would not scan our ticket. after several minutes they got the system up and running again and glad we had nothing in our pocket or anything because the whole locker thing was another three ring circus. once we where on the skywalk it was great. my brother was a bit scared and at first hung to the side but in the end i got him out into the middle and he loved looking down in to the grand canyon it was a nice addition to my bucket list. glad we did it and now onto other things.
A train ride or a drive to the south rim can be done from Williams on Hwy. 40 and isn't far from the painted desert -petrfied forest and the meteor crater.
@@jimbike8064 If you are lucky, you get the window seat. But the view is amazing from anywhere in the helicopter. When we did it in 2018, it was comparable to airline tickets, discounted. I think it was around $250 a piece.
@@jimbike8064 A co-worker told me before I left for the Canyon - don't pass up the helicopter tour. It was an extra expense, but I got to see the canyon like most people will never see. The chopper goes low up to the rim, and then ----- the dropoff, and you see the canyon below you. Stunning.

We purchased a package that included a helicopter ride in and out of the canyon, and a boat ride with a lovely young lady at the helm. As old sedentary people, we knew it was the only way we'd ever get down there and back. Definitely worth it.
You have convinced us, we are taking the kiddos when we go to Las Vegas. Trying to find wholesome things to do in “sin city” while there for my moms retirement. This is a no brainer. Thank you and God bless! 🙏🙏🙏

The view at the South rim, which is the National Park, is much much better. You only need to pay $30 (or free if you have an annual pass) for the whole family.

We love to have the freedom to stop and smell the roses. The tour bus wasn’t for us and it was an easy drive. And I think you could rent a car for a few days for what the bus costs.

This video was amazing. It sprinkled yesterday but our first stop was Eagle point. When we reached Guano point, it was majestic. I too said a prayer about the beauty of God Creation. The security guard said it was the same spot where “due date” was filmed with Robert Downey Jr. Thank you for all your help. God Bless

I left Florida 3 years ago moved to Arizona best decision I ever made the West is the best! Florida geographically, sucks.

Don’t go to the west rim. South Rim (the national park) has much better view.
The Sky Walk is run by the Indian tribe... it's a separate fee... if you don't tolerate heights, it will be scary, when you look down....🙂🇺🇸

Thoughts on the drive from Vegas? Debating between taking a tour bus (w/ Hoover Dam stop) vs driving there.

Guano point was included in the price with Eagle point. The sky bridge was extra.
