Zx6r High Speed Ripping Through Traffic on The Highway.. PASSED 2 COPS (my shift rod broke)

- Took a quick solo cruise on the bike the other day and decided to turn the GoPro on and rip through some traffic on the highways, ended up passing by 2 cops, and my shift rod broke leaving me in 6th gear and having to ride it home like that.

Glad you got home safe man. Been looking into getting either a zx6r or an r6 (currently on a Ninja 400). Love the sound of this bike a lot haha
I love my zx6r but if I did it again I would buy an r6, they are just better handling bikes and have the option to install an auto blip

The zx6r is a million times better on the street, its 10x more comfortable and also offers those extra 36ccs for a little more torque in the lower RPMs, R6 is a track king, ZX6R is a great bike for the track too but it will be better for you on the roads.
@@coden2676 I appreciate the reply man! I've heard a lot about the ZX6R being a much more comfortable street bike compared to the r6 being a track bike. Gonna do a lot more research and definitely will see how the comfort of each feels sitting on them before I buy one. Thank you :)
@@whisp_636 that's the case when they're stock. The zx6r has soft suspension, and is geared lower. Either of these things are easily changed. The stock r6 is more track focused, with harder suspension and longer gearing.. so can modify either easily, but if you don't wanna modify then ask yourself are you riding street or track.

Had a somewhat similar situation on my Ninja 300 a while back. A nut holding the shifter in place fell out. Luckily i was able to get a replacement at a hardware store that did the job and got me back home.

Do you have a stabilizer on your bike? When I rip through traffic going 160 on my zx6r, I feel like I'm about to catch a speed wobble because the bike is so light.
No I don’t, I never usually have an issue with it besides this day. Probably doesn’t help that my front wheel is bent 😂

I tried while riding and didn’t work, but when I got it home I did it by hand to get it into neutral but it was really hard to do

Brah like for really though? How tha fuc you gone say that? ☝🏾🤣 thats dangerously fast for a regular motorcycle or vehicle. Most average cruiser bikes do like 0 to 125 mph.
@@BIGALEX_DRDOOM it still looks slow in a video when you're sitting there on the couch or chair or toilet or whatever. In Texas you can drive triple digits at night in the rian pouring down and someone will still pass you like you're stationary on the side of the road with their SUV... That's a real world example, Texas is just huge it takes hours getting anywhere even at 123 mph/200kph (supposedly the speed limiter on my car, supposedly). Also I don't know why they have such a low limiter on my car, makes it kind of useless for gears 5 and 6 on the track since 4 does 120 mph (Texas is sort of a closed track right? I mean it's got borders...)

I do wish you would ride a little bit safer because there are things you do as a motorcycle rider that's a lot better than these people who think they're safe motorcycle riders. Like Dan the fireman I think is harmful to the motorcycle community because he teaches myth not good sight ahead behavior.
I don't condone Dodge car because I believe a good writer is also courteous to other riders. If you pass a 16-year-old that just got their learner's permit and you scared them to the point they get into an accident and harm themselves that's showing that you don't care about other people. I've also seen a motorcycle drive-thru a car and kill the occupants. I'm not asking you to slow down but I would hope you develope and appreciation for other people's lives.
