How to get tents for free cotw glitch. Only works in a random multiplayer

i tried this on my PC and after i hit ok after the beaver message it disappears from my and and inventory till i leave and join another game? Is this patched or do you have to be on console?

This is the only location and map that I know of it working on. I would assume it works on all platforms but not for sure
