I enjoy big game hunting the most. If there aren't a lot of class 7-9 animals on a map, I'm not interested in the map. For me it's Vurhonga Savanna, Silver Ridge Peaks, Yukon Valley.
I don't grind drink zones; I crouch walk, crawl around in feed and rest zones with a bow out, sit in tripods and treestands using callers, and because of that, my view on the woodsy/foresty/brushy maps is quite different. I might put New England Mountains in the #3 spot because it's beautiful, the layout is very well done and there is a lot to be found on it. I don't really care for the layout of Revontuli but I might put it at #2 because of all the waterfowl species; it's easy to get money when you need it (I'm not one of the Million+ Cash players and run out constantly). Then my #1 keeps changing: sometimes I stay on Medved or Hirschfelden for days on end, sometimes Yukon has loads of bison grouped together to just rake in the cash (but other times it's empty). I can't really say I absolutely "hate" a map, but the ones that only go up to Class 6 (Te Awaora, Cuatro Colinas and Rancho del Arroyo) I find myself playing considerably less than the others. And sometimes the layout, rain and being super desolate makes Mississippi rather annoying, but I wouldn't put it worse than the other three.
I like to sneak around and bow hunt as well, but I find New England frustrating. Near impossible to find a brush or shrub to hide in, and not sure if they've fixed the spook radius. I got bored on this map and gave up. It is beautiful though
1- Emerald Coast 2- Silver Ridge Peaks (because of that update) 3- Medved Taiga 4- Layton Lakes (because it’s all the same animals I hunt in real life) 5- Cuatro Colinas
Been grinding Yukon Valley all week trying to get a minimum of hold on every species. It’s a great map especially the burn forest and the plains as it’s so open with little vegetation so animals are easy to spot
Actually just started to enjoy Yukon recently, didn't care much for it when I bought it a while back so I kind of left it alone, but decided to try playing on it some more and within two days pulled 3 diamonds off of it. Harlequin Duck, Gray Wolf, and Bison. Now I want to go back and try to get an Albino or Melanistic female wolf to do the Bye Son mount with. Yukon has certainly impressed me.
Absolutely agreed. I went from not having a clue to level 12 in about 3 days after finding this channel. Probably one of the top 5 on youtube I have found
Just started playing this game for about a week now. I was really impressed with the base game and the other free map, that i decided to buy the other package with some of the other maps on. I've only delved into Savanna since and the maps are all beautiful, on this list i think i will also have to invest in emerald coast, steady leveling my character up so i can take better shots with equipment as i'm now level 19. Such a good game, the story that is involved on these maps are also very captivating. Great upload, and happy hunting :)
I didnt experienced Missisippi yet. And I Played New England just a little bit. But last time I posted this, I aint played Rancho and Revontuli yet, and now I did. I'll share my view on it again. 1- Medved Taiga Guys you can't imagine how easy to position yourself and how easy to deploy tents, blinds, tripods on frozen lakes. Medved is the most comfortable map imo. Also, in terms of drinking hours it's the best. It has 8 species, 7 of'em come to drink. And 7 of 'em making a all day cycle only Lynxes and Reindeers came across for 2 hours (30 mins irl) . Also, white ground and background makes animal spotting easier. And cuz of whiteness of the map, if you have full moon at night, you dont even need nightvision googles at all. Also in terms of money making .Wolves, Bears and Lynxes gives lots of money. And for Reindeer and Mooses, they're the 2nd and 3rd most money making deers (after Red Deer ofc) . Also, there is a rough "survival theme" beauty in it. You feel like you hunt for your life, not hunting as doin sports u know. Also, I love aggressive animals, it brings that survival mechanics and thrill to the game. And in this map. Wolves will attack you, occasionally Mooses will attack you, if you spook'em from close distances Bears and Boars will wanna tear you apart. And still you're gonna get murdered by Western Caper more than others. It's a map with full with aggressive , attacking animals. I love Medved. It's my first DLC map . Only thing I would've want for Medved 2 more species and my picks are Wolverines and Snow Sheeps. That would bring 1 more herd animal and 1 more solo predator and it would make perfect sense for me. As a DLC it's weak, it aint give you any fancy weapon , also missions/story of it not great either but as a reserve. It's super for level grinding early on and then later it's great for money grinding. tent between lakes, tripods over lakes and just go wild and hunting spree. 2- Silver Ridge Peaks It's the most beutiful and fresh looking map. It doesnt have a lot of species. But the species that the reserve have are just bursting out of the grass. So much animal, so much need zone. Also, it's nice for making loadouts. Cuz of there is no level 2 or level 3 animal. You dont need any 223 or 243 or mosin rifle. Just one 4 to 8 or 4 to 9 rifle will be enough for you to grind almost anything (except Turkey and Bison). Or better combo will be a .22 rifle/pistol a 4-8 rifle and a 7-9 (or 4-9) rifle and you're done. The only downside of it, there are so many empty land that you're never gonna use or visit. U're generally either at southeast half of the map or northwest. And occasionally northeast. Center of it almost dead, southwest of it almost dead. So it feels a bit stucked. But other than that, It's amazing. ------------------------------ I'm so sure about my top 2 but I'm really confused about the rest, 3- Revontuli Coast: I mean it's obvious why it's so high. It's a fun map with beautiful visuals. Also, you can really focus on waterfowl grind or Whitetail grind or Moose grind. As A DLC value it aint bring much (as weapon/item additions) but as a map and content it's great. Also, I really like that it's not bushy and not thick. Very open feeling, great grand fields to look and hunt. 4- Emerald Coast: Emerald could've been higher but my playstyle is really heavy on "drinking zones" . And Emerald Coast has very little water resources on it. But still Emerald Coast is super lively, you can hunt literally almost anywhere on the map. Since from Silver Ridge I never saw a map that as loaded as this one. Also, so many unique animals to the map, which is always special. And in terms of visuals it's much more realistic and good looking compare to other egzotic maps like Savanna. Also I really hunt deer on this game and this map has 6-7 of'em ! Another good thing is it has a good DLC value cuz Zagan is a good small game gun. Better than Docent and lighter than .243 . So it's nice. 5 - Cuatro Colinas / Te Awaroa I take this 2 together cuz they're similar. Both maps includes animal species that class 1 to 6. So its a small and mid game maps. Both map good for grinding, good for beginners and good for lower power loadouts. Both maps gives you amazing 4 to 8 rifles. There is only 3 key difference between'em imo. a- Cuatro Colinas feels more "hand-made" , it's closer to civilazation roots. Te Awaroa gives you more wild and egzotic vibes. Both map looks beautiful but this thematic difference might be important for some players. b- Te Awaroa offers better small game options. It has rabbits, ducks, turkeys. For CC there are only pheasants and hares. Also Te Awaroa gives you better "class 3" animal options. Chamois and Feral Goats are traveling with big herds on the other hand for CC only class 3 animal is Roe Deer and they're spread around all map. They're everywhere but not in big groups and there aint any other class 3 alternative. c- In terms of mid game animals, both have almost same amount of class 4 and the biggest animal in both maps are Red Deers. And both maps good for grinding them (Awaroa a bit better). But Cuatro has Wolves. Wolves and Red Deers are the most money making herd/pack animals in the game and Cuatro has both of'em. So for better small game -> Te Awaroa For better Red Deer Grind -> Te Awaroa For more wild and jungle feeling -> Te Awaroa For better overall money -> Cuatro Colinas For more organised looking reserve -> Cuatro Colinas For having more species in total -> Cuatro Colinas ----------------------------------------------------------------
6- Yukon Valley Yes lakes are either too big or too small it's hard for positioning and grinding and also yes, not many animals and yes it's mostly mid to big game not much variety. But man... Yukon is a beauty, weather changes here most drastically than any other map. It makes the map more alive. All animals in the reserve are fun to hunt . Need zones and hot spots are easy to access. Yes it needs some tents to make the map more accessable but still a fun and beautiful looking map. And in terms of DLC value, I mean c'mon this is the DLC that you get .300 Magnum ?!? BUY YUKON ! 7- Layton Lakes: Good variety of animals, you have almost everything you need. There are 3 Great One making species on it. Need zones so accessible, animals are easy to find and locate compare to Hirschfelden. Also it's a fine looking map. You have a free Hunter Cabin over there , so it's the best Non-DLC reserve imo. 8- Vurhonga Savanna and Parque Fernando I take'em together cuz they have similar variety for animals. Both of'em have 1 big cat and 1 big class 9 buffalo. Both of the map have egzotic animals that special to that map ony (Blackbuck, Axis, Springbok,Gemsboks) Both have 1 species of duck for occasional waterfowl hunt. But both of'em have a hard map. The land on Parque it's always goes up and down , up and down. Very few flat , open fields . Also lakes are too big and too disformed to position yourself . And it's hard to collect your hunts cuz of these conditions. Also in terms of weather conditions, Parque has one of the worst vision in the game. It's a very green thick map and add a dense fog or heavy rains on it. And for Savanna it's the least realistic looking among any CotW maps imo. Botanics, animals, the topography of the map not realistic at all. You're expecting that Savanna should have endless, vast open flat fields to the Horizon, right ? No man, Layton Lakes, Silver Ridge, Medved, Cuatro has far better vast open fields to gaze upon on. Also, class system really questionable on Savanna. How Gemsboks 2 tier higher than Wildebeests while they're in the same weight class ? Or how Lions are 9 while 8 class animal Moose 2-3 times heavier and 3-4 times bigger than 'em ? Another problem with Savanna is ; the 1/4 of the map (From west) and the center of the map are literally dead zones. So you're mostly restricted to 5-6 lakes at east-center of the map and river coast at North, east, south. For a huge map, it feels super empty and that's Africa ? It supposed to be the most crowded and vast wild-lifie biome. Fernando feels more alive and energetic than Savanna but tracking, looting , positioning in short movement in parque is the worst among all maps. You needs dozens of tents and blinds to make it enjoyable imo. But in the end I would put Savanna slightly above Parque Fernando tho, cuz it's more rewarding , AFrica map is one of the highest diamond harvest maps on the game. Parque is not that rewarding for sure. --------------------------- 9- Hirschfelden // New England Mountains Hirschfelden great looking map with good variety of animals imo. Nothing unique to there but you have a bir from almost anything. Also not having any predator makes the grind smoother. Then what's the problem with Hirsch ? Imo there are 3 major problem; a - It's one of the biggest map (if not the biggest) in the game but contrary to that it has the least amount of animal. So hunting is a challenge here. So it should be a beginner map but actually it's a masterclass map. That contradiction ruins it's value imo. b- Terrible layout of needzones and outposts. It's the most "walking simulation" map in the game. Cuz , need zones weirdly placed and outpost generally not good for accessing'em. c- Wind direction changes much faster and much more often than any other reserve. It's annoying. So in general it's not bad as people says, but cuz beginners start playing here and it sucks for beginners it has a bad reputation. Actually once you learn the game and once you operate with tents Hİrch become a delight imo. If you want challenging, realistic gameplay then skip Hirsch at beginner level. Dont grind levels or money there. And once you're good then come back to Hirsch and you'll see that it's the most "hunting" map on the game. I put New England here, like Hirsch, N.E.M. also one of the most beautiful looking reserves on the game if it aint the most beautiful. And compare to Hİrschfelden it's more comforting, not as much as grindy. Also it has one the best outpost designs. And this map has the 2nd most species on a map (after revountoli). It even 1 more specy than Emerald Coast. But it make you feels far more emptier than Emerald Coast cuz New England is a big map with very thick forest sight. And yet out of those 15 species only 2 of'em bigger than Class 4 and you have only 1 class 4. 12 of the species are small game animals. ON a thick, big map with small water grounds ! Soooo, it feels pretty empty. And another problem with N.E.M map is; it's bland and generic other than Racoon, Cottontail and Gray Fox there aint any "rare" species on it. You have better grind map for almost any other species. And even for Racoon and Gray Fox you have another alternative ! Why would I hunt Moose here while I have Medved, Yukon and Revontuli ? Why would've come to this map for Whitetail ? When I have Rancho, Revontuli and Layton for it. For Black Bear ? I have Silver Ridge. For Bobcat I have Rancho .. For waterfowls I have Revontuli. actually Revountuli kinda upgraded version of N.E.M. I hope this reviews will be helpful for new players or possible DLC buyers.
Getting attacked by wolves on Medved and trying to fend them off with the Solokhin M1890 (Russian Mosin-Nagant rifle in real life) was one of the craziest moments I’ve ever experienced in this game lol. They killed me but I got a few of them. From now on I’ll probably pack the Davanni 10 mm pistol with the 15 round magazine for wolfpack defense lol.
I dont even have New England but it will always be my favorite. Basically my backyard irl. They did a great job representing the creeks full of boulders, the autumn colors, and the ravine hills.
I think one of the best things about the game is that everyone can find the maps and species that they love the most. Even if a map isn't viewed as objectively great by the masses, you might just think it's neat. I admittedly miss how involved some of the older map's quests were. 1. Parque Fernando - I just love this map. Red, Axis and Mule deer are some faves of mine, and I really enjoy the buffalo and cinnamon teal. I just generally like the mix of species and the scenery. I also enjoy the warden and quest lines a lot. I know that objectively a lot of the maps are better, but I just like hunting on it. I just gravitate back to hunting here regardless of whether it's the best place to hunt that thing or not. 2. Silver Ridge Peaks - What isn't there to love? Large open spaces and I always love to hunt mule deer and bison. Also got my first piebald and diamonds on this map. (both pronghorn) Also I admittedly really enjoy the bonkers story quests on this map. Too much traveling but I still enjoyed it. 3. Emerald Coast - Lots of deer and I get to chase Banteng along the coast like some kind of maniac, that and the crocodiles are a big plus. It's a newer map but honestly I see why it gets so much love, lots of species and different environments. They also added the side quests back which makes me very happy. 4. MedVed Taiga - This had some of my favorite quests, and the species on this map are great. Also the only snowy hell scape we get. 5. Revontuli Coast - Sometimes I just want to hunt geese and white tails and this map scratches that itch. Least Favorite Mississippi Acres - I just can't like this map. I've tried to like this map. Maybe I will like it more with the new gator AI, but I just don't enjoy this map. I honestly decently enjoy most of the maps, even if some don't draw me back often, but this is the only map I actually hate hunting on.
Hey Lady! My fallow grind finally ended after 3300 kills. At about 3000 kills in i got a super rare Albino fallow deer. 300 kills later i got an Irish Elk rack with Fabled Mocha. It is by far my favorite combo and i was very lucky to get it.
Pro tip for crocs. I’m a brand new player just started about 3 weeks ago and Iv already made over a million dollars and almost have all my skills and perks. Start at one end of the beach go 150m away from any croc you see usually there will be 2-3-4 of them together you will place a tripod. Whenever there is one sideways you will always take the sideways lung shot. After that all the crocs will slowly turn sideways and you can take shots on all lungs of all of them without creating pressure bc your in a tripod. Works everytime. I basically have a 100% kill rate on every croc. I shoot them with the 300 and if i don’t get a lung shot for whatever reason they still die and I make about 1000 per croc. I make about 50k running down the whole beach or more. And as soon as you make it down the beach. Fast travel right back to the beginning and start all over. They will be spawned back on the beach and you can continue to be rich.
Hirschfelden is my favorite map. It's the closest to home and just the most beautiful. I hunt by walking around and seeing what I come across, meaning every hunt is unique. I can't imagine farming the same spots over and over, I'd be so bored, it sounds like a chore. My second favorite is Silver ridge peaks and I love the new Emerald coast, which comes in third for me. The rest are more or less interchangable for me except for New England, which I consider the worst, as it's not particularly unique being just another American map.
@@westsidekasper4860I got almost a 1000 hours in the game and I still dont have a single diamond rabbit/hare. The euro rabbits are only found near their burrows which definitely makes them harder to hunt than any of the other already hard rabbit/hare species
My favourite reserve is definitely Layton lakes. It's the first map I started on and holds some good memories. I do agree on new England mountains though as it's basically Layton lakes but with a few extra species. Nice video lady keep it up!
I just love the Yukon and Medved. It's the ecological niche where I'm most comfortable in reality, so of course I'm happy when I'm there in game. I just got this game in the PS sale this summer, and it's been so hot out that my partner keeps catching me just sighing and admiring the snow of the taiga and tundra and whining about wanting to go backpacking in northern Alaska for the rest of the season. Screw work and responsibilities.
The german map is the best. I live in Croatia and still see the environment that is very known to me. The map is very realistic and could be in every central european country.
Being an Aussie on the east coast and a hunter when i het a chance to go. I really like Emerald coast. From the landmarks I see they have included and the fact I can hunt in yhe game what i cannot hunt here on a recreational level is awesome. I lost all of my game play exept kept trophy's and lodges and had to start again from scratch. I got 2 Diamonds within and hour just prior to hitting level 30 with a noce Salty and a Red Fox. Happy Hunting.
It's always cool to hear that real hunters also play the game, same here in the US, i'm retired and hunt less so the game is quite refreshing, and a virtual way to experience other places as in your area...cheers from western Washington state
Being South African I love Vurhonga, but live in New Zealand so must say Te Awaroa is nice. Some people say its easy but here its the land that will get you, some really rugged terrain
Unpopular opinion but personally my favorite map has always been Yukon Valley ever since it released. I love the map so much and it will most likely always be my favorite
It’s mine too, very pretty and I love how when it snows it puts snow on the ground. Wolves are a blast to hunt, caribou are everywhere, and grizzlies are always fun to hunt. Yukon also has the best music imo
I don't have all the locations but I began my game in Revontuli. I enjoy Medved for the snowy scenes and Silver Ridge for easy to spot animals to build up money. So those three are my favorites right now. I really want to try out Yukon now. I'm surprised you rated Vurhonga so highly. I thought it was a bit boring, so I'll have to play more into it.
My top 14, 14 Layton lake, 13 hirshfelden, 12 farqe fernando, 11 New England, 10 Mississippi, 9 rancho, 8 Yukon valley, 7 cuatro, 6 vurhonga, 5 medved, 4 srp, 3 te awora, 2 Emerald coast, and number 1 Revontuli coast
First time viewer. Love your video. I’ve been playing Hunter off and on for a few years. Don’t have all the maps, but I like the info and insights you provided here! I did get the Emerald Coast map and enjoy it. My top three maps are Emerald Coast, Silveridge Peaks and Yukon Valley. I’m looking at getting Revontuli Coast and your ranking (plus other feedback) has made my decision. Thank you!
I'm just a fickle player on xbox,... I don't grind or hyperventilate when a diamond crosses my path. Don't own Mississippi, Parque Fernando, Cuatro Colinas, Rancho Del Arroyo, MedVed Taiga, Vurhonga Savanna, Te Awaroa, or Revontuli Coast. Recently started Emerald Coast and discovered all lookouts/outposts but find, so far, the map lacks the character SRP and Yukon have. Also found NE to be underwhelming and it lost me over the spook radius and inability to take cover bow hunting. Maybe it's me or the lack of time I put in to most maps?? SRP is my fave as there's many different aspects to it and I can play without ever changing the time, it's that entertaining - only wish is cougars attacked - they removed bear attacks long ago, so there's nothing that gets your hackles up, like say, Yukon when you hear that wolf howl. Ironically, I prefer Hersh and even good ol LL over the thought of buying another 'dud'... hmmm, any recommendations?
Mississippi Acres was the first DLC I purchased because living in the Mississippi Delta in Eastern Arkansas it was the most like home and where my Dad took me hunting first time.
You’re the best person ever to play Hunter call the wild cause you’re so funny and you help me with so many tutorials I need and I love it when you’re ranking the 14 maps and the male Whitetail deer had gotten your way of the female albino and you said no fair
The disrespect to Mississippi acres, my favorite map so far, especially since I grew up hunting in Alabama and it gives me a lot of the vibes that real life Alabama does and I LOVE IT
I like Hirschfelden, but my friends do not. Personally, I like to roam around without kills and really hunting... but most people just want to kill animals one after the other :(
Right now my top 3 maps are: Emerald, SRP, and New England. I do revisit all the maps from time to time, and will always have a fondness for Yukon and Layton.
Good Vid. I just started playing again after bout .. Hm since the dogs came out. Got my first lodge , the auto caller and looking forward to playing again.
Great list, I’d be interested to see the videos from a different perspective. Seems like every video released from the lady now is heavily based off the GO grinding perspective.
Great video!!! The Emerald coast map is my favorite. What I like about it is the missions. I believe this is the first map that you get bit by a spider and then pass out and wake up at an outpost. I hope EW keeps making missions fun!!!
Im sad with emerald coast as it doesn't have emus so I cant go to war with them like my ancestors did, Koalas and dingoes should of been their too, who thinks of Australia because of our deer? lol. Also should of been a fresh water river down the map where fresh water crocs live and since its based in Queensland should of gave us a Australian zoo reference we love the Irwin's.
New England is actually my favorite map, reminds me of hunting around where I do irl since in from the mountains of New England as well, granted the lower half in PA but still very similar landscape
I'm a casual player I only play a few hours a week on my days off, usually in one sitting I don't do the great ones. I just hunt whatever I come across. Top 3 Medved>te aworora> toss up between layton, emerald and srp. I don't have all the maps but clearly I picked correctly as the maps I do have were all in the top 7 or so. (Outside of base game)
14. Parque Fernando 13. Te Awaroa 12. Layton Lake 11. Mississippi Acres (used to be #1 when it stormed constantly) 10. Hirschfelden 9. Vurgonga Savannah 8. Emerald Coast 7. Yukon Valley 6. Rancho del Arroyo 5. Silver Ridge Peaks 4. Quatro Colinas 3. New England Mountains 2. Medved-Taiga 1. Revontuli Coast
My only complaint with Emerald Coast is the story missions, it ends very abruptly. This map also would have had my second diamond, but i hit a croc in the intestines with no vital, took ‘em down to a gold 😔
I love New England mountains for animals like coyote,Bobcat and Red Fox. Now that I bought the electronic caller dlc I find coyotes easy to call in the open fields in New England making them an easy kill.
Vurhonga Savannah is the king for me 😊. I mean once you've stalked loins in the bush literally, deer and even won't even come close. Yukon is number 2. Silver Ridge would be 3 for me.
ive been playing alot of teawarow lately but ive had alot of fun hog hunting on missispie and turkey hunting in new england new england is really fun for bow hunting
I recently came back to COTW and noticed that silver ridge peaks is baren when it comes to bears during the day as well as cougars but you constantly hear them as if they are close by. Finaly stalked a black bear for 2km and he turned out to be a troll -.-.-
I have hunted a lot on hirscfelden, its one if my favs, the autumn colours. I dont know so much yet 🤪🤗 I have all DLC but is first startet play agai. After a long break. So the next weeks goes whit see all the new ones.
I feel like cuatro colinas is very underrated by cotw players. Before te aweroa's red deer drink time was updated, cuatro was the best place to do the red deer great one grind. It also as the all 4 types of ibex which make a really cool matmat's trophy mount. I think many folks forget that cuatro colinas has wolves which are so much fun to hunt. I think that their behaviour is more natural than the yukon valley wolves. Roe deer are everywhere on the fields, and a great way to start of with hunting if you are a beginner player, as the .243 takes them down very easy.
Cuatro is the most underrated map. Possibly because it has 4 ibex species? It’s a really good map though, and tends to be one of the more wide open maps in terms of visibility
Well my most played three are surprisingly Layton Lakes, Yukon Valley, and Silver Ridge Peaks at number 1 but Emerald Coast will soon take out Layton Lakes.
I can’t stay focused on emerald coast kangaroo level 9s everywhere that run when I’m 300 m away and I didn’t have the guns to hunt banteng or crocs until today I’ll probably spend some time on there Monday
I grinded hirchfelden for one weekend and found 100 red deer zones lol just takes tents and patience can’t sprint through zones I have 25 on one canal lol
Have had this game for week and all the dlc are on sale. Except Emerald. I needed New England as I’m a North Easterner. But I have just been playing Layton trying to get used to it. Only a level 7. So I don’t have the skills yet. Hopefully it doesn’t take too long. Have lots of dlc though.
my top 4 is 4 Vurhonga (very open, many great animals and it's really hot there) 3 Parque Fernando (I got a diamond red deer there recently and arguably it's one of the maps of all time) 2 Emerald Coast (kangaroos and crocs) 1 SRP (pretty open map, the scenery is literary stunning like it makes me want to move to like West Virginia or somewhere similar, and I got a really heavy diamond bison there)
AYYY my wife is a subscriber thru me and we both love ur shorts. we are both wisconsinites and REALLY want a PRAIRIE EXCURSION MAP or something like that :D
I enjoy big game hunting the most. If there aren't a lot of class 7-9 animals on a map, I'm not interested in the map. For me it's Vurhonga Savanna, Silver Ridge Peaks, Yukon Valley.
I agree completely my first and favorite dlc’s
@@eon7722 That game looks like a throwback to the 2000's
1- Emerald Coast
2- Silver Ridge Peaks (because of that update)
3- Medved Taiga
4- Layton Lakes (because it’s all the same animals I hunt in real life)
5- Cuatro Colinas
i like the fact that real hunters play this game.
I love how you put so much effort into the videos. Thank you for everything you do.
I appreciate that!
@@LadyLegendXO thank you, lady you deserve to have all the likes in the world
😍😍😍
The disrespect to hirchfelden😢
None of the maps are bad. just less hunted than others
Hirch is the map I go to For Realism. Gets annoying real quick love it tho
Sprich
I love it but it is hard work but so is my wife 😂... I'll be in trouble for that one 😬
Irsfledon is crap
Been grinding Yukon Valley all week trying to get a minimum of hold on every species. It’s a great map especially the burn forest and the plains as it’s so open with little vegetation so animals are easy to spot
Do you get a weird walking sound?
Actually just started to enjoy Yukon recently, didn't care much for it when I bought it a while back so I kind of left it alone, but decided to try playing on it some more and within two days pulled 3 diamonds off of it. Harlequin Duck, Gray Wolf, and Bison. Now I want to go back and try to get an Albino or Melanistic female wolf to do the Bye Son mount with. Yukon has certainly impressed me.
thank u for these videos the game was so fun but frustrating before i found your channel and you’ve helped me learn a ton! ♡
Glad I could help!
That's awesome! Welcome to the best game ever! So exciting to be a new player! Have fun!
Good job
I didnt experienced Missisippi yet. And I Played New England just a little bit. But last time I posted this, I aint played Rancho and Revontuli yet, and now I did. I'll share my view on it again.
1- Medved Taiga
Guys you can't imagine how easy to position yourself and how easy to deploy tents, blinds, tripods on frozen lakes.
2- Silver Ridge Peaks
It's the most beutiful and fresh looking map.
------------------------------
I'm so sure about my top 2 but I'm really confused about the rest,
3- Revontuli Coast:
I mean it's obvious why it's so high.
4- Emerald Coast:
Emerald could've been higher but my playstyle is really heavy on "drinking zones" .
5 - Cuatro Colinas / Te Awaroa
I take this 2 together cuz they're similar.
So for better small game -> Te Awaroa
For better Red Deer Grind -> Te Awaroa
For more wild and jungle feeling -> Te Awaroa
For better overall money -> Cuatro Colinas
For more organised looking reserve -> Cuatro Colinas
For having more species in total -> Cuatro Colinas
----------------------------------------------------------------
6- Yukon Valley
Yes lakes are either too big or too small it's hard for positioning and grinding and also yes, not many animals and yes it's mostly mid to big game not much variety.
BUY YUKON !
7- Layton Lakes:
Good variety of animals, you have almost everything you need. There are 3 Great One making species on it. Need zones so accessible, animals are easy to find and locate compare to Hirschfelden. Also it's a fine looking map.
You have a free Hunter Cabin over there , so it's the best Non-DLC reserve imo.
8- Vurhonga Savanna and Parque Fernando
I take'em together cuz they have similar variety for animals. Both of'em have 1 big cat and 1 big class 9 buffalo. Both of the map have egzotic animals that special to that map ony (Blackbuck, Axis, Springbok,Gemsboks)
Both have 1 species of duck for occasional waterfowl hunt.
---------------------------
9- Hirschfelden // New England Mountains
Hirschfelden great looking map with good variety of animals imo. Nothing unique to there but you have a bir from almost anything. Also not having any predator makes the grind smoother.
Then what's the problem with Hirsch ?
Imo there are 3 major problem;
a - It's one of the biggest map (if not the biggest) in the game but contrary to that it has the least amount of animal.
My top 3 maps:
3: Hirschfelden.
2: Emerald coast.
1: Revontuli coast.
hirschelden is missunderstood it’s actually a good map
Awesome list! Nice to see someone who loves Hirsch!
I love Hirsch but it is not so friendly for new players.
Least Favorite
Mississippi Acres - I just can't like this map. I've tried to like this map. Maybe I will like it more with the new gator AI, but I just don't enjoy this map. I honestly decently enjoy most of the maps, even if some don't draw me back often, but this is the only map I actually hate hunting on.
Mississippi is my least fave as well
14-new England mountains
13-hirschfelden
12-Mississippi acres
11-layton lakes
10-rancho del arroyo
9-parque fernando
8- cuatro colinas
7-medved taiga
6-yukon valley
5-emerald coast
4-vurhonga savanna
3-revontuli coast
2-silver ridge peaks
1-te awaroa
Hey Lady! My fallow grind finally ended after 3300 kills. At about 3000 kills in i got a super rare Albino fallow deer. 300 kills later i got an Irish Elk rack with Fabled Mocha. It is by far my favorite combo and i was very lucky to get it.
The fact i find it easier to hunt kangaroos actually hunting over a video game is so crazy
That's awesome! Thanks!
The rest are more or less interchangable for me except for New England, which I consider the worst, as it's not particularly unique being just another American map.
this is the same thing I do, I personally dont care much about big trophies but it excites when I find one!
So hyped to get back streaming and playing this game again with the new maps/stories. Some of the best vibes of any game!
i was looking so long for the updated list thanks for that :)
Just bagged my first diamond moose after only 3 days playing the game. All thanks to your videos. Thanks for all the helpful tips and advice
The New England ranking hurt me 😂 I love that map
Fun video, thank you!! For me it's:
5. Revontuli
4. Vurhonga
3. Te Awaroa
2. Yukon
1. Emerald Coast
Cuatro and SRP close but not quite top 5.
Awesome list! I had a very hard time ranking the last 6 maps! So close!
14-Layton Lakes
13-Hirschfelden
12-Parque Fernando
11-Rancho Del Arroyo
10-Te Awaroa
9-Medved Taiga
8-Cuatro Colinas
7-Yukon Valley
6-Vurhhonga Savannah
5-Mississippi Acres
4-Emerald Coast Australia
3-Revontuli Coast
2-Silver Ridge Peaks
1-New England Mountains
Hirschfelden is one of my most played maps, love it so much
That's awesome!
Can’t seem to find European rabbits that’s the only animal left to complete my Layton lodge
@@westsidekasper4860I got almost a 1000 hours in the game and I still dont have a single diamond rabbit/hare. The euro rabbits are only found near their burrows which definitely makes them harder to hunt than any of the other already hard rabbit/hare species
@@sampp44 I found it but I got a silver only I will try to get a gold who knows might get lucky like how I got my first diamond rusa in emerald coast
Im cracking open this old can of a game again. Been binging ur videos. SOOO helpfull. Thank you lady 😊
My favourite reserve is definitely Layton lakes. It's the first map I started on and holds some good memories. I do agree on new England mountains though as it's basically Layton lakes but with a few extra species. Nice video lady keep it up!
What a coincidence 🤣
I also just uploaded my Reserves Tier list as well ,lol.
Really love your vdo Lady !
Thank you! 😁
The map is very realistic and could be in every central european country.
as someone who lives in new zealand i can say that for te awrowa they hit the nail on the head for nz
cool, and this map could represent many areas that I have seen and lived in here in the US, beautiful map
@@roadwary I really think that they have made most effort for that map in the whole of the game.
@@deltatrunefan7774 good to know
@@Unwoken_European 👍🏼
I’ve been grinding red deer on emerald coast I just got a gold fallow deer for sure my favorite map
It's always cool to hear that real hunters also play the game, same here in the US, i'm retired and hunt less so the game is quite refreshing, and a virtual way to experience other places as in your area...cheers from western Washington state
My favorite maps are definitely revontuli, SRP, and cuatro colinas
My list:
14 New england
13 mississippi
12 hirsh
11 layton lakes
10 rancho
9 parque Fernando
8 yukon wally
7 revontuli
6 silver ridge peaks
5 medved
4 cuatro
3 emerald coast
2 savhana
1 te awarora
I just watched your old one last night! Thinking I heard you say you were gonna release a new one lol, my fav maps, #1 medved, #2 Savanna #3 Australia
Love it! I love MedVed! I would have ranked it higher if I was basing solely off of my own personal opinion
Same
It’s mine too, very pretty and I love how when it snows it puts snow on the ground. Wolves are a blast to hunt, caribou are everywhere, and grizzlies are always fun to hunt. Yukon also has the best music imo
We need More animals there
I don't have all the locations but I began my game in Revontuli.
Great list, Lady! Yukon gets "most scary" with aggressive grizzlies, wolves, and moose! 🐻
Very true but Emerald Coast also has kangaroos, Banteng and Crocs!
Honestly I didn’t know grizzly’s were aggressive I’ve never got any bear any species aggressive
@Quandale_Dingle69 same but on the 2017 edition bears used to go aggressive about every time
@@trentlindley2081 I see
I want to see a Great one Salt water crocodile😊
Having so many options is amazing is the key word
Lady, your bottom 3 maps are my top3: hirsch, NEM, missi. I love this game, you can do whatever you wanna do
You like a challenge! That's awesome!
My top 14, 14 Layton lake, 13 hirshfelden, 12 farqe fernando, 11 New England, 10 Mississippi, 9 rancho, 8 Yukon valley, 7 cuatro, 6 vurhonga, 5 medved, 4 srp, 3 te awora, 2 Emerald coast, and number 1 Revontuli coast
Awesome list! So nice to see more people enjoying MedVed than before.
Thank you!
Just started the fallow grind and on the good lake I got a mela piebald and albino on the first day
Nice!
Great overview, I'm new to this game but I love it! 👍
I would put new zealand as 2nd but yet again i have not hunt in revontli coast. Great video lady keep up the amazing work love your content! 💯💪
I’m a new player and just been playing Layton Lakes, what’s the best map to get right now?
SRP, Revontuli and Emerald Coast
Amazing video lady!! I agree with all of them! Your the best!!😊
Thanks!
You’re the best person ever to play Hunter call the wild cause you’re so funny and you help me with so many tutorials I need and I love it when you’re ranking the 14 maps and the male Whitetail deer had gotten your way of the female albino and you said no fair
Thanks! ❤️
The disrespect to Mississippi acres, my favorite map so far, especially since I grew up hunting in Alabama and it gives me a lot of the vibes that real life Alabama does and I LOVE IT
Hi - which is the best map for bow hunting? Is there a map or two who are better for this style of hunting?
Hirschfelden and Mississippi
@@LadyLegendXO thank you!
My 3 fav are silver ridge peaks, medved and te aw
Good Vid. I just started playing again after bout .. Hm since the dogs came out. Got my first lodge , the auto caller and looking forward to playing again.
Welcome back!
My top 3 are emerald coast, silver ridge peaks and vurhonga savanna
You made my day Lady i love your vids❤❤❤
Thank you!
Great list, I’d be interested to see the videos from a different perspective. Seems like every video released from the lady now is heavily based off the GO grinding perspective.
luv your vids keep up the good work
Thank you!
Not to mention 5 of the 7 diamonds I currently have are from that map
I always play Layton, SRP, Vurhonga, and Yukon but Layton is always my favorite because it’s nostalgic and learned the game on that map
I'm a casual player
I only play a few hours a week on my days off, usually in one sitting
I don't do the great ones. I just hunt whatever I come across.
Top 3 Medved>te aworora> toss up between layton, emerald and srp. I don't have all the maps but clearly I picked correctly as the maps I do have were all in the top 7 or so. (Outside of base game)
Hirsfelden is the first map that gave me my first diamond red deer and albino plains bison, and both of them were found on the first one I ever saw 😂
14. Parque Fernando
13. Te Awaroa
12. Layton Lake
11. Mississippi Acres (used to be #1 when it stormed constantly)
10. Hirschfelden
9. Vurgonga Savannah
8. Emerald Coast
7. Yukon Valley
6. Rancho del Arroyo
5. Silver Ridge Peaks
4. Quatro Colinas
3. New England Mountains
2. Medved-Taiga
1. Revontuli Coast
I also love Layton cause I’m doing a grind for white tail on the big river on the left side
My only complaint with Emerald Coast is the story missions, it ends very abruptly. This map also would have had my second diamond, but i hit a croc in the intestines with no vital, took ‘em down to a gold 😔
Hope you find another one!
@@LadyLegendXOHey Lady, you know what's funny? The very first Banteng that I killed was a Diamond. *[I've got no clue how I was so lucky]*
I love New England mountains for animals like coyote,Bobcat and Red Fox. Now that I bought the electronic caller dlc I find coyotes easy to call in the open fields in New England making them an easy kill.
I got my first diamond red deer last night on Hirschfelden. Completely unexpected while trying to take a picture of a Fallow
Congrats!!!
For some reasons I always love these kind of rankings haha 😅
It's fun to reminisce through all of the maps!
I got my first diamond in cuatro colinas(red deer)
To me Vurhonga and Cuatro Colinas have a special place in my heart. Definetily my favourites.
Yukon is also nice.
New England top 3 imo. Just looks great and running the rivers are just so fun.
Glad you like it!
Great video, almost exactly how I would place them
Thanks Ed
Vurhonga Savannah is the king for me 😊. I mean once you've stalked loins in the bush literally, deer and even won't even come close. Yukon is number 2. Silver Ridge would be 3 for me.
ive been playing alot of teawarow lately but ive had alot of fun hog hunting on missispie and turkey hunting in new england new england is really fun for bow hunting
I agree I ran that coast on emerald and the 3rd alligator I got was a diamond
I recently came back to COTW and noticed that silver ridge peaks is baren when it comes to bears during the day as well as cougars but you constantly hear them as if they are close by. Finaly stalked a black bear for 2km and he turned out to be a troll -.-.-
Top 3 is New Zealand, emerald coast and Silveridge peaks
Awesome maps!
The video should be called hardest to easiest
Definitely corresponds to popularity
I agree
i just bought the awarao today and its my favo map now. there is so much deers to hunt
Emerald coast has a special place in my heart because I got my first diamond off of it. It was a banteng. And also Thank you for the recommandations.
That's awesome! Congrats!
My first was a croc on EC.
Lady yesterday on Te awora I got 2 diamond fallow deer yesterday one piebald and one dark
Awesome!
Lady I got trolled by a level 5 sambar yesterday but cotw made it up with 2 diamond fallow
I agree that emerald coast is number 1 it is so good for diamonds (and trolls)
These videos are so well made, too bad the game is very niche, so the content will be also
Well my most played three are surprisingly Layton Lakes, Yukon Valley, and Silver Ridge Peaks at number 1 but Emerald Coast will soon take out Layton Lakes.
I accidentally got revontuli coast when trying to get a differennt map for HCOW but now I'm getting so many different animals on it
I can’t stay focused on emerald coast kangaroo level 9s everywhere that run when I’m 300 m away and I didn’t have the guns to hunt banteng or crocs until today I’ll probably spend some time on there Monday
Thank you !! Whitout you i could now what to do
To early to put emerald coats at one tbh great vid tho
I grinded hirchfelden for one weekend and found 100 red deer zones lol just takes tents and patience can’t sprint through zones I have 25 on one canal lol
Have had this game for week and all the dlc are on sale. Except Emerald. I needed New England as I’m a North Easterner. But I have just been playing Layton trying to get used to it. Only a level 7. So I don’t have the skills yet. Hopefully it doesn’t take too long. Have lots of dlc though.
personally te awaroa is definitely the best. it's just so stacked!
It's definitely close to the top!
my top 4 is
4 Vurhonga (very open, many great animals and it's really hot there)
3 Parque Fernando (I got a diamond red deer there recently and arguably it's one of the maps of all time)
2 Emerald Coast (kangaroos and crocs)
1 SRP (pretty open map, the scenery is literary stunning like it makes me want to move to like West Virginia or somewhere similar, and I got a really heavy diamond bison there)
SRP is set in Colorado I believe, so it’s pretty far from West Virginia. Maybe WV has some similar scenery though, I don’t know.
@@andrewp8284 thank you, now I know exactly where to go
AYYY my wife is a subscriber thru me and we both love ur shorts. we are both wisconsinites and REALLY want a PRAIRIE EXCURSION MAP or something like that :D
