The problem for Venus is that the WTA kept mucking and reclassifying tournaments. She won San Diego 3 times, but before they were classified Tier 1 events. She won Dubai 2 or 3 times and Wuhan once, but it's unclear if they are considered Masters 1000s or not for the years she won them.
@@piper998877 True, Venus won Zurich in 1999 it was a tier 1 in 99. She won the title again in 2008 but was not a tier 1 anymore in 08. Don't think Dubai and Wuhan were classified as masters 1000 but because the WTA keep changing the classification you never know. Venus won Miam 3 times, Italian open in 1999 and Charleston 2004. Charleston 04 was a tier 1 event. Venus definitely could have won more masters 1000 but her illness slowed her down towards the end of her career.
Notice how she didn't jump for joy when she beat Errani, Keys, Suarez-Navarro and that Romanian player (not Halep!). She only jumps for joy when she truly respects the opponent, i.e all exc. those 4. That makes sense. And that also means she respects a great deal of players contrary to what the Williams-detractors claim.
In 2008 it was considered a Tier 1 event, which at the time was equivalent to the Masters 1000. In 2009, all the tournaments were revamped and reclassified, and Charleston was downgraded to a premiere event, but not mandatory.

@housseyy529racismo así de sencillo, lo entiendes?
@housseyy529they were being racist towards the sisters
Rome 2013 is missing. Probably her best run at a 1000 event.
What about Rome 2013 isn't that masters 1000?
Capriati losing Miami 2001 2002 2003 to the Williams sisters
Rome 2013 and Beijing 2004??
Beijing wasn’t a 1000 event until 2009
Aplastante serena Williams WOW ❤😊
Can you do one for Venus too. How many masters 1000 she won?

@@piper998877fully understand your point, but wouldn’t the size of the draw from each year Venus won it reveal that?

Charleston is not a masters 1000

In 2008 it was ^^
