"Yes yes my friend, my name's Lafayette, the Lancelot of the revolutionary set, I came from afar just to say good evening, tell the king piss off, who's the best? It's me." In case anybody wants to know the full verse in French. Feel free to correct me as I'm not in a part of Canada where French is too needed so I'm a bit rusty.
Fun fact: When Lafayette/Jefferson and Mulligan/Madison say “We fought with him” Lafayette and Mulligan fought with him in war while Jefferson and Madison argued with him. Also when John/Phillip said “Me I died for him” he means that John died for him and so did phillip
Then, when Eliza, Angelica, and Peggy/Maria says "Me? I loved him. " it can work for both Peggy and Maria. Peggy confided in him and loved him in a family way(they were brother/sister-in-laws so yeah) and Maria- well you know **insert Say No To This here**
1:43 the unrest in France will lead to *onarchy* He says “onarchy” as if he were a wizard telling someone about some type of evil The way he holds it out
I love how Lafayette can’t pronounce anarchy right while in « Guns and Ships » he can rap 6.3 words per second while being one bouncy boi on stage. Daveed Diggs is a national treasure.
Daveed Diggs and Jonathan Groff are my favorites 🤣😍 They play their roles so perfectly. And Christopher Jackson as well 🤩 7:40 Well, if just Lafayette had met Angelica. Maybe she would have been satisfied.
It always surprises me the subtle differences in the way the lines are spoken/sung between this and the studio cast recording! Ive only been able to watch the movie 3-4 times but I’ve listened to it on Spotify tons so I know exactly how all the words sound in the cast recording 😂. I suppose the cast recording was probably recorded a long time before the movie was, so it would change slightly over all the years they performed it. Idk has anyone else noticed this? Edit: I forgot to say, but I kinda feel it’s stating the obvious that every performance is going to sound slightly different anyway, I’m just saying I’m surprised that I notice al the differences
I love that in "Alexander Hamilton" everyone who had significant deaths (almost everyone) was wearing white, just like in Who lives who dies who tells your story
You can find the whole thing in animatic form on TH-cam in a play list, it's ofcourse not the real thing but it's the closet you'll get, I recommend watching Szins or Niksua ones, they are the best in my opinion and then watch other standalone Animatics to make up for the ones Szin and Niksua missed.
“Me I loved him,” said three women at the same time Five seconds later.... “And I’m the damn fool that shot him.” No bruh, good on you Burr, someone needed to do it.
The whole song satisfied if my fav part lol. Not only for the song but the whole story and choreography. It’s just chefs kiss. Fun fact: It was said by many of the cast members that satisfied and helpless were one of the hardest choreography’s to learn🤯
Can i just say, as a theatre tech myself. The amount of rehearsals these guys must have done just for the "alexander hamilton" lighting, its insane. For the record, for this current production I'm teching, we're on our 8th day of runthroughs, and we still havent worked out how to light a static table the way we want it to be.
I was touring a the preforming arts high school in Salt Lake City like last week and the actor of Samuel Seaburry(sp?) just sprinted down the hallway and when he came back we learned he was helping teach the dance class... So that was a good day!!!!
When I saw the title, I was hoping all of Laf would be in here. I’m only up to Story of Tonight so far, but I love it regardless. Also, so glad to see you enjoy the opening with Alex so much :) and also, I feel like Aaron Burr, Sir is such an underrated song.
idk if anyone knows this but when the schuyler sisters say "we hold these truths to be self evident that all men are created equal" it's a quote from martin luther king jr.! :D
Almost Every part that you put, are my favorites too XD Pd: My favorite part of all, I think It is in The final duel between Burr and Hamilton, When Hamilton Have a Mental breakdown with death and The other side 😂✨
I swear, there's something about these scenes that make them objectively great because they are my favourite moments too. It's just something that scratches the deepeset itch in my soul and I don't know what it is lmao

the answer is yes, at least with real laurens and hamilton
With the gay stare in The Story of Tonight, I'd say he is

act 1 was a complete vibe ngl, act 2 shocked the hell out of me
Fr act 2 is basically:
ANGER, TRAGEDY, DEATH(SPECIFICALLY BY DUELS), GRIEF, DEPRESSION, SADNESS, BETRAYAL, HEARTBREAK
while act 1 is:
Love, happiness, happy families, wars with happy endings, friendship, bittersweet stuff
“Me? I loved him!”
Me, singing: *THE SCHUYLER SISTERS*
