summary (with some of my own thoughts as a new player):
- 2:07 quick moves - staples in neutral
- 4:12 slide combo - hits very often because new players don't low block or sidestep
- 6:47 launchers - just learn an easy launcher combo
- 9:50 whiff punish, power crush
- 11:48 running attack
- 12:53 heat engager; during the animation, charge the hold down -> up 2 thing, follow up with fb2 for guaranteed damage. if you think they are crouch blocking then launch them - end with a low heat smash (i find this is much easier to hit than mid heat smash)
Most underrated character.

Honestly, you are one of the few that make proper guides for newbies, its a guide. Newbies are gonna watch it not seasoned tekken 7 players. All the notations and how it all links up really helps in understanding this character. Got to orange rank recently but essentially all my gameplay has probably boiled down to is 40% fundamentals 60% random bullshit go haha. So i figured i should pick the character thats .. honest? Shaheen seems to be that one to learn the fundamentals!
Good idea to focus on fundamentals. You can know all the combos of a character if you want, but when you're never able to apply them, it's not helpful.

Thank you for this video! Tekken 8 is my first fighting game and I wanted to play Shaheen because he seemed cool to me. All the other guides are complicated!!!
Keep it simple and when you get the basics down, you can always add new moves to your repertoire step by step.

As a Shaheen player I suggest during heat animation if you feel the oppent will duck use df2 or orbital uf3 it's safe if the opponent change his mind decide to block unstead of ducking

While my Brain hasn't exploded from other guides (despite me having some experience with Tekken 7 but never really getting into the game after getting it at launch) I must say this one is extremely beginner friendly, and will surely help a lot of players out there, despite him Sadly being an underplayed Character from what I have seen so far.
I hope I can increase pick rate with this video. He really could use a bit more fame. Super clean character. Very fun to play.

damn! He's DIRTY! Why isn't Shaheen top tier? What's some anti strats against him you can share?
It can be quite hard. Propably smart to just lab drill style against his low pokes to build muscle memory. The heat stuff is a guessing game, so every opponent is different.
13:27 when inputting fb2 at the end is there a delay? If I put fb2 too fast it only does the punch.
You'll always get the blue spark version of the move when in heat. Prioritize clean input over speed.
@@judge_rekt It's seems the dummy just blocks the fb2, why is this? I have 'Opponent Actions' on standing and 'Action After a Hit' on standing block.
@@Okkupantteri The charge d -> u2 move will break the guard and generate a 13frame time window. fb2 is exactly 13frames in heat. Try inputting forward right before Shaheen lands on the ground after the charge move and b2 the exact moment his feet touch the floor. Then you should be able to hit it.
Can u advise me , how to d3 into slide ?
Press d3 and HOLD down. When the animation is just done, from the down position slide into df position, slide back to d, then slide back to df and press 3. DON'T slide into df too early, because Shaheen will go into stance then.

Is that why people dont like him? Literally because he doesnt shoot lazers, is that why he "has no personality". Can someone inform me if the real reason why people hate him even more than panda and kuma?
