Constantly win battles 24/7 as Sparta. Never understood how people fail as Sparta. can have a 8 man garrison force hold off most full tech 20 man armies vs AI. and in pvp they are on equal terms with Rome both on offense and defense

@@taxiarchiskalyvas8198 didnt that happen at launch like sparta was godlike and nerfed, i remember the units were expensive too, its hard to play as sparta now for campaign.
Nordos unit mods give them sword units and its pretty balanced

Glad people are still playing this game even after Imperator and FOG Empire has come out...I am in a Roman campaign and enjoying too.
Should have use the Thermopylae strategy at 49:24 with Sparta instead of wasting them and have if the archers hold back play it as far away from the walls as possible while marking them work for the victory

I always felt they were the better team throughout.

The Seleucids was one of the empires founded by one of Alexander's Generals, as was Egypt by Ptolemy.
I was rooting for total winners. Glad they won. They have the nicest tactics so far. Wonder how they'll fare in the next bit. I have some emotional investment in them now.

Demos Tychalas Greek fire wasn’t Ancient Greece though. Greek fire was invented by the byzantines, over a thousand years later. Also, the holy hand grenade of Antioch is a nod to the holy spear of Antioch, which boosted the crusader army’s morale enough to take Antioch in 1098

Dang it kush! At 23 mins in, you had four units just sitting there in the middle walls when you could have flanked around the entire spartan front line down the middle and cut off their escape to the city square! Wasted potential there. And I'm rooting for Ducks? Geez.

I'm not a strategic guy, but would it not be best to try and focus an army down? By the time the attacking army broke through the wall, you could redirect your army.

What mod does apollo use here? The scenery es very colorfull....
Total war: Rome was their very first game. So the original name is “total war: Rome” “total war: Rome 2” etc. Other installments are just different titles to the other game, but the main game, “Rome” will always be said differently because that’s where it started. So other games will have their name before total war, opposed to Rome who will always have total war in front of it
Why does my game keep desyncing when I play with friends??
Is this with extreme graphics settings? It looks amazing! I bought a computer with more than adequate specs and it just crashes when I join battles unless I go as low as I can on all graphic settings. I am on your discord and I would like to join in one day

I wish the Hoplons (the round shields used by Greek factions) were more historically accurate. In actuality they cover way more of their body than they do in this game. It extends from the shoulder to their knees. It also is held more to the left as in it covers more to the left of the wearers body in order to protect the phalanx formation. Anyway it would make the phalanx formation in this game much more realistic and dangerous.
