Hey guys just wanted to make something clear. The map we’re playing on is called Athens. So the Romans are surrounding the city of Athens not attacking the army of Athens. Macedon has conquered the city and is now defending it with friends. Just wanted to make that clear because I saw some people accused me of clickbait.

The Lusitani were fun to use. I think Ive never really payed much attention to them as a faction, but I have a newfound respect for their heavy infantry. It was a pleasure fighting at your side, M'lord. I do so think Rome learned its lesson this day... for now.

The lusitani were the people that inhabited today's Portugal in the Iberian Peninsula in this time period. They were known as fierce close combat fighters. Don't know if you know that, but it didn't seem like it. We Portuguese still use the prefix Luso- to identify Portuguese descendence and language because of that cultural inheritance.

So glad you have gotten back into Rome two I remember a siege video you did a couple years ago it was Athens and Carthage vs all Roman teams it was amazing and the Roman general said “they are the Carthaginians if any of you doubt they need killing listen to this, they throw their own children into fire pits what kind of people do that, what kind of men do that”.
I am LOVING this Rome 2 content boost. It's the only Total War game I just keep coming back to.

12:44 not a bug. just stairs is too small for the whole squad to climb right away. it was made on purpose for strategy, you need to think twice because its impossible quickly go up and down the walls
well I captured it really late. But I had to tell them ten times to get on the wall because they would just stand there.
i have no problem with that if you look closely you can see they climb on the wall one by one. about 3-5 soldiers per second, it takes about 30 seconds for lift the whole squad so maybe they just wait in line
Thanks Apollo for taking the change I proposed that is excellent sportsmanship on your part and it did making more difficult but it also kind of proves my point. That I honest don't believe walled settlement can be taken when defended competently in this game. Back when had total Rome war 2 I don't ever remember losing as a defender in multiplayer and I and only a bottom middle player. I am surprised none of the players rage quited which I remember happening a lot in sieges as it is frustrating not being able to make headway.The romans and galatians are arguable are most solid infantry in the game and failed to establish any real foothold. I just don't feel the game balance is right though one could argue it is historical as settlements were invested for months before they fell if the they had water sources within them.
We have won 4v4s as attackers plenty, and if its defended competently, you attack competently. So many people say its unbalanced, or its impossible, yet we do it, like so many others. How is that possible? You *must* take tactics seriously and consider options when assaulting walls. Its entirely possible.
