Another great episode. I like how Tomari and Danji response to Zakusa and Megumi join uniformers is really an easygoing answer "Just let them do what they want". That's also feels like they(writers) want to say that the stake of this uniformers thing is not something that will end the world something like reverse back in the day. I really hope that Dress series still grounded and doesnt have world end plot. The realism of this series is my favorite.
Exactly and I love how Yuyu on this matter is different than them. He feels like he is losing everyone one by one and future (fights) will become boring and emotionless instead. 🤔
I wholeheartedly agree regarding Yuyu, I can’t blame the Uniformers for their reputation but they almost reminded me of Daybreak during their antagonistic era in Overdress and then now they have vastly changed. Given how Season three is going, I feel like they’re trying to show how flawed the Uniformers and Gui’s idea while also showing them the correct ways to get stronger and rewriting/recreating their reputation. I also really love the idea of Yuyu’s resolve to train which I really respect and the fact the title for the next episode is “Dress Up”, you know it’s going to be exciting one to watch and I can’t wait for it!!! 😁👏✨
YuYu was given 2 option of this uniformers thing, just let it what it is by easygoing like Danji and Tomari, or, trying to head on Uniformers. And Danji want to see what choice will YuYu make, and i think he's happy that YuYu decided to fight Uniformers.

Here's what I take from the episode, Danji has his reasons regarding not being in blackout for a long while because he was investigating what's been going on with Zakusa and the uniformers especially after what happened with the Drajeweled user (I'm terrible with names sorry) in the episodes prior. While I don't excuse his behavior regarding leaving Megumi on read for God knows how long and making her worry I can understand the stress he was going through with it. And regarding the Cardfight I've seen a few people say Megumi needed a win, she did actually, very decisively at the point Danji needed a heal trigger to help him live a turn and needing to take on the attacks bringing him to 5 damage because his hand wasn't defensive at all, Megumi would have won with nothing but her own skill, Danji needed plot armor to win, which describes most matches of Vanguard pretty well honestly. But what further Describes Vanguard is the fun you have while fighting, you get funny moments in a fight and some heart wrenching moments in other fights, that's what this game truly means, to have fun whether your a meta player or a rogue deck player, enjoy yourself and play to the best of your abilities.
Truee. Last week i was having a game with my friend casually, he was playing chronojet and i was using the Youthberk TD , i almost got to defeat him with a double crit then he landed on a double heal. We laughed soo much I can't believe he got that MC plot armor last minute LMAO. It was very fun
The lesson here is that we're all different and should have the freedom to choose what and how we do things while the Uniformers enforce that there is only 1 true way and that all should follow it. So what's wrong isn't the Uniformers Playstyle but their actions in attempting to force their opinions on others.
Uniformers even tries to spread their ideal playstyle to users of decks that wouldn't be able to fit it. An example is Shinobu being told to focus more on rearguard use when Greedon is a vanguard centric deck, which is evident in the cost of base greedon's restand effect.
Yeah Gui made it pretty clear that. Yuyu asked it if they will have a place in future which it desires after reaching its goal and Gui said only as a uniformer.

Now THIS Is the way to introduce new cards and make the user lose. Danji had to pull 6th DMG heal and 2pg in order to stop Megumi plus being very blessed with triggers when he attacked. She wasnt buried or anything like that. Haruka on the other hand....
Hearing yuyu asking danji to train him reminded me of all the beach training camps from the original series and g. Those were fun episodes. I doubt it will but it would be fun to see it return with the new cast.

So I think the way this is all going to end is a 5v5 match where everyone has their own partner. Tohya vs Masonori, danji v shirogane, urara v halona, raika v Sophie, and then yuyu v jinki
I feel like this whole arc is addressing how people playing meta, you have to play meta or you lose. This arc is about playing your own way, combating the meta, even though it soooooooo toxic in many card games. Just a theory.
That’s not necessarily true. The players all the time are saying that wanting to get better at the game isn’t a bad thing. The theme is similar though- no matter how good you get at the game, you gotta remember that enjoying it is the most important part of it. That’s been the theme of all the fights where Uniformers get defeated.
Playing to win vs playing not to lose mindset along competitive scene vs casual scene. Which is showing that you have to put in the work with either way. Still I'm glad it's showing the how playing to win mindset gets results
Not to mention, there are anti-meta decks: non-meta decks that can counter meta decks, so playing your own way doesn't always mean you cannot compete with meta.
I lost it when she actually rode the Zorga G1 and 2. Everybody's been doing it since like Set 2, and Megumi kept using that garbo rideline. The buildup was so good.
@@jofx4051 It's not exactly garbo, it's just inconsistent and doesn't really bring any advantage. Half the time you'll only be calling triggers. The only good thing it brings is that potential early rush you could do without calling a card from your hand.
I’m hoping that megumi will win against Danji but then hopefully realize that she’s not at all happy with the way she won, using this power that was given to her rather than any power she generated herself, and will hopefully abandon the uniformers on her own terms, rather than the typical “character a beats character b and character b realizes the wrong path they took”, because they already did that with Urara. Even if they don’t do that I still hope megumi wins at least, don’t need another masque unit to debut only to immediately lose and be written out like last week
Coming back here to say: I called it. Apparently we can not have ANY interesting development for any characters not named Yu-yu, Mirei, Tohya and Raika apparently. You even did Haruka absolutely dirty last episode. So instead of doing something completely out of left field and have Megumi develop an actual character that is something other than chasing after Danji, you give her a Masque form aaaaaaaand she loses, and she goes right back to chasing after Danji. So then, whatwas the whole point of making characters move away from their G4 forms?? Are you going to have Megumi go back to using Elder again? Furthermore, how is any of this development? You even had to plot armor Danji because you really just couldn't be bothered to develop Megumi's character. Is this some kind of twisted joke?

And all this time Yuyu was thinking about Uniformers, boy didnt even flinch when rain came. I cant wait how his traning arc works out. Me, 1000% She should've won But regardless of the result, she said what she wanted to say (or at least most of it). Hopefully she can grow herself away from Danji and starts to focus on herself more. She should've at least hit Danji though, be it (half) jokingly or not. Man deserves that for fully ghosting her, not even cracking a small talk or give reassurances.

It's not that it feels like it's a fact, megumi is completely infatuated with danji this whole fight literally felt like she did this to get him to notice her, I honestly thought this was going to end here so she'll start her way apart from continuing in her SIMP mode , but no megumi will continue to be dragged by the hadta the end of days.

Fact Danji had 0 damage all the way to the 6th turn (Megumi's 3rd turn) and took 5 attacks from Megumi head on is impressive. Risky but worked out in his favour to use for skills.
I loved the battle in this episode for several reasons. 1. It pays homage to some of Danji's previous fights, acting as a subtle clip show of the best of Danji's battles. 2. It features a Masques unit being defeated without a unique card (Despite Geno debuting, it didn't serve as the game changing card needed to win) showing how the right skills can defeat a Masques without any fancy new cards. 3. The fight has strong emotions between the two, though the "Going for broke" climax wasn't presented as intensely as the match with Masques Michiru, showing how despite its intensity, it's more about understanding ones emotions than trying to bring someone back. Still wish Silent Bark finished the game, though.
So…an interesting point now. Meg and Haruka are back it doesn’t necessarily mean that they’re not playing Masques decks anymore. What this opens up though to Blackout and Daybreak is a way to practice fighting Masques fighters without being swayed by the cult-like attitude the Uniformers have on their own program.
God I hate this. I hate this ending so much. Danji is an inconsiderate, dilly dallying, good for nothing guy. And Megumi has an unhealthy obsession with being aknowledged by him. Winning against him while pummeling her feelings into him would have meant so much for her character. It would finally divorce her character from being defined solely around Danji. I wanted her to scream at him, to make him understand his shortcomings. I wanted Danji to reflect and grow into more of a functioning adult that takes other people's feelings into consideration. Not to mention that though the fight choreography was awesome. In terms of number, the loss makes no sense. This was also a prime opportunity to finally give a meaningful win for Megumi, which at this point just becomes a jobber meme along with Haruka. Like damn. Winning didn't have to mean she had to return to Uniformers. But it would have been interesting for her to resume her blackout identity while keeping the uniformers masques deck with all the optimisations she made to it.
Danji literally flew to the US to investigate a cult for a friend, bro is a full functioning adult, sorry, Megumid didnt need to win against him, she needed to grow the fuck up and thats not something solved through a win or loss
Well in this case, He would have lost without 6th damage heal. He needed to call everything from his hand for his final attack against Megumi. It also shows that no matter how much power you have, Vanguard's still a luck game and luck is something people have more than others and megumi is just an unlucky person at times. there's nothing wrong with how she lost this time around as it's not like he outplayed her, he outlucked her. it's more fair to be honest with your feelings rather than just win without anything to gain.
Another chapter of Danji and Megumi being the most sweet pair on this show. Sorry Tomari, you and Zakusa are the second ones but you are still a step up on Yu-yu and Mirei

That's fine and all, but he should've at least replied to her, letting her know his situation (even if it's a lie). Ghosting all of her messages for 6 months and suddenly appear like nothing happened is kind of a prick move, if I'm being honest. He didn't even try to properly explain his situation to Megumi, at least on screen anyway.
megumi ride deck and main deck were build exactly how every real player would, she actually go ranzor chain and black husk in ride deck and inlet pulse, that is something everyone would use in their stocheia build
I know Ordernolia was a thing for a while now and when I built my Masquenolia deck for playtesting, I did start with an ordernolia base, but I don't know if Inlet pulse still fits, because I'm still working on the issue of generating the minimum 2 markers fast enough to make turn 3 count, whether the issue be due to not reaching the dragontree wretches or not having the resources on time
Even thought i want Megumi to win, still this episode is great because cool fight between Megumi and Danji, also look like next episode will be funny one because Shinobu fight Himari and Team Blackout training.
I think the issue was how the concept was being pushed, not so much the style itself. Also the very major flaw of Gui's intent to be the Ultimate Fighter with a 'flawless victory record' that's...kind of impossible when you take into account how RNG this game can be not to mention new cards are being released all the time. Its only a matter of time before a deck that can be borderline anathema to the Dragontree series comes into play.

I am a Bushirod fan, and I know Amane Shindo (Megumi's Seiyuu) voices many characters in Bushiroad IP, like Mashiro (BanG Dream!) and Haruna (D4DJ) Most are dignified or kind, so see Megumi become the person like this episode, make me a little excited somehow
Can say I something regarding Megumi because while I do like her character, I feel 50/50 on what direction they are going with her right now; yes her deck build is strong but it seems to lack offensive capabilities because it feels rinse and repeat. Not to mention is while I don’t mind Danji winning and liking the episode as a whole, the fact that Megumi’s losing streak continues is starting to get very repetitive which I am really not a fan of it or how she’s been treated and written which I really hope that they give all characters equal treatment aside from Yuyu, Mirei, Urara and etc please. 😭🫶 I am quite excited for the next episode based on the title alone!!! 😃✨

I don’t disagree and I understand that Danji still being a blockhead might rub people the wrong way alongside the ending but it really doesn’t bother me personally and I still enjoyed the episode. Yes, Megumi has been taking losses lately and I agree that she should have won but I think the purpose throughout the episodes is showing the importance of having fun and playing casually. Nothing wrong with getting stronger but how we can improve while having fun is up for us to decide. A bit annoying to a plot armor win but still an entertaining cardfight regardless!!! 🤤🫶

So it was a GOOD callback and Danji got his win back from Megumi so it was a great episode. But Danji being the blockhead we all know and love even with all the seriousness going on is just what we need to calm the tensions Aha.
So the fight was cool, but it kinda just highlights why I don't really like Megumi that much. I just wish there was more to her than her chasing after Danji because it's honestly to the point where I barely want to see her on screen because that's all she talks about.

Low key during Meg's final attack I was like "no way no way no way!!!" lmao but of course Danji being Danji still has the gacha Gods from that Michiru fight besides him. So now Megumi fans, what y'all think. Do you happy with her turnaround, is it too soon, good for her character etc. I just hope that after this she doesn't heavily rely on Danji anymore cuz this proves she is strong all by herself and would've beat Danji if it weren't for his heal.
Honestly, I loved seeing her fight in this episode and wouldn't mind seeingbher use the masque unit for a while. I also really like Danji but the not texting though in character annoys me a bit, I just know this can really hurt and just getting a sorry, I won't be able to communicate for a while or throughout other eans of communication or a better way to make up for it. Bit Danji talks through his fights and said some nice things, although if he did so earlier things could've gone differently. Still I like the Masque units, just want to see more of it in her style especially. At the least I hope she has a few more fight but her fight where she is personally invested or more fery are my favourites.
While I'm not Megumi fan, I want to see where this will go. It's fine if she still wants to be stronger than Danji, that's her decision. But, I hope she's not too obsessed with him anymore. I'm actually wondering, while Giu can obviously brainwash people into being "Optimal Players" how does his training work for specific decks? Like we know that Megumi's deck is decent enough but what if the deck is outright unplayable or just bad? Does he make or patent a new series of support to be printed just for that specific deck/Archtype? Or does he just give them a bunch of Dragowelch cards to focus on just the Masque version?
Was watching the episode until the internet cables decided to stop working, but that's not gonna stop me. Spoilers! I expected one of them winning this and the victor was Danji, compare to the last fight this felt more light-hearted than anything I like how Megumi's personality didn't change much after joining Uniformers compared to Urara (then again I don't know if she completed the entire program or not, but then Magnolia Masques exist so I assume she did). One minor nitpick though, I know Danji has a lot going on right now but you could have at least let Megumi know what's going on and not just suddenly come out of nowhere and say "hey let's fight!", then again Danji be Danji I guess. I was also gonna hate him for his conversation with Yuyu at the start but then I remembered what Danji said "He's free to lead his own path" and then I remembered the last scene in last week's episode where Danji confronted Zakusa, but then in this episode he's in Wonder hill, which meant that either two things might have happened, either they just talked or they fought each other as they talked, either scenario might have resulted in Danji accepting Zakusa's choice. Next episode, I see Shinobu, The Deluxe participants, Yuyu , Jinku, Raika and finally Urara with the title DressUp. I have zero clue on what's gonna happen, except probably a training arc or a cardfight utilizing the DressUp for Lyrical Monasterio, which I already have my doubts on that.

I feel like this whole arc is addressing how people playing meta, you have to play meta or you lose. This arc is about playing your own way, combating the meta, even though it soooooooo toxic in many card games. Just a theory.
That’s not necessarily true. The players all the time are saying that wanting to get better at the game isn’t a bad thing.
The theme is similar though- no matter how good you get at the game, you gotta remember that enjoying it is the most important part of it. That’s been the theme of all the fights where Uniformers get defeated.
Playing to win vs playing not to lose mindset along competitive scene vs casual scene. Which is showing that you have to put in the work with either way. Still I'm glad it's showing the how playing to win mindset gets results
Not to mention, there are anti-meta decks: non-meta decks that can counter meta decks, so playing your own way doesn't always mean you cannot compete with meta.

I’m hoping that megumi will win against Danji but then hopefully realize that she’s not at all happy with the way she won, using this power that was given to her rather than any power she generated herself, and will hopefully abandon the uniformers on her own terms, rather than the typical “character a beats character b and character b realizes the wrong path they took”, because they already did that with Urara. Even if they don’t do that I still hope megumi wins at least, don’t need another masque unit to debut only to immediately lose and be written out like last week

Apparently we can not have ANY interesting development for any characters not named Yu-yu, Mirei, Tohya and Raika apparently.
You even did Haruka absolutely dirty last episode.
So instead of doing something completely out of left field and have Megumi develop an actual character that is something other than chasing after Danji, you give her a Masque form aaaaaaaand she loses, and she goes right back to chasing after Danji.
So then, whatwas the whole point of making characters move away from their G4 forms?? Are you going to have Megumi go back to using Elder again?
Furthermore, how is any of this development? You even had to plot armor Danji because you really just couldn't be bothered to develop Megumi's character.

Tbh, I wished she wins this fight and makes her stay longer on the bad side while Danji has to feel like fighting more to get her back. 😅 That's just how I feel...? Just wanna see what if Danji gets down once in awhile since we always see him being this high spirit and optimistic guy.
Its about time Danji coming back for a visit. It was funny how all Blackout sent him to see Megumi, thats on him for not texting back for 6 months or so. And even with all Megumi looking up to Danji a lot like a lot, she is right that its not fair Danji to ghost her. Welp I would like a Megumi win but a good fight nonetheless.
And all this time Yuyu was thinking about Uniformers, boy didnt even flinch when rain came. I cant wait how his traning arc works out. And whats better than bringing an opponent who gave you hard time before, greedon masques(probably) incoming. Oh now that it reminds me Michiru said something to him back then, hope we get answer for this too. Im hyped for next episode every week!
Megumi may have lost, but that was still a fun fight. The fact Danji had to get a 6th damage heal to win is good enough for me.

Fact Danji had 0 damage all the way to the 6th turn (Megumi's 3rd turn) and took 5 attacks from Megumi head on is impressive. Risky but worked out in his favour to use for skills.
I loved the battle in this episode for several reasons.
1. It pays homage to some of Danji's previous fights, acting as a subtle clip show of the best of Danji's battles.
2. It features a Masques unit being defeated without a unique card (Despite Geno debuting, it didn't serve as the game changing card needed to win) showing how the right skills can defeat a Masques without any fancy new cards.
3. The fight has strong emotions between the two, though the "Going for broke" climax wasn't presented as intensely as the match with Masques Michiru, showing how despite its intensity, it's more about understanding ones emotions than trying to bring someone back.
Still wish Silent Bark finished the game, though.

So…an interesting point now. Meg and Haruka are back it doesn’t necessarily mean that they’re not playing Masques decks anymore. What this opens up though to Blackout and Daybreak is a way to practice fighting Masques fighters without being swayed by the cult-like attitude the Uniformers have on their own program.

I hate this ending so much.
Danji is an inconsiderate, dilly dallying, good for nothing guy. And Megumi has an unhealthy obsession with being aknowledged by him.
Winning against him while pummeling her feelings into him would have meant so much for her character. It would finally divorce her character from being defined solely around Danji.
I wanted her to scream at him, to make him understand his shortcomings. I wanted Danji to reflect and grow into more of a functioning adult that takes other people's feelings into consideration.
Not to mention that though the fight choreography was awesome. In terms of number, the loss makes no sense.
This was also a prime opportunity to finally give a meaningful win for Megumi, which at this point just becomes a jobber meme along with Haruka. Like damn. Winning didn't have to mean she had to return to Uniformers. But it would have been interesting for her to resume her blackout identity while keeping the uniformers masques deck with all the optimisations she made to it.
Danji literally flew to the US to investigate a cult for a friend, bro is a full functioning adult, sorry, Megumid didnt need to win against him, she needed to grow the fuck up and thats not something solved through a win or loss
Well in this case, He would have lost without 6th damage heal. He needed to call everything from his hand for his final attack against Megumi.
It also shows that no matter how much power you have, Vanguard's still a luck game and luck is something people have more than others and megumi is just an unlucky person at times. there's nothing wrong with how she lost this time around as it's not like he outplayed her, he outlucked her.
it's more fair to be honest with your feelings rather than just win without anything to gain.

That's fine and all, but he should've at least replied to her, letting her know his situation (even if it's a lie). Ghosting all of her messages for 6 months and suddenly appear like nothing happened is kind of a prick move, if I'm being honest. He didn't even try to properly explain his situation to Megumi, at least on screen anyway.
megumi ride deck and main deck were build exactly how every real player would, she actually go ranzor chain and black husk in ride deck and inlet pulse, that is something everyone would use in their stocheia build
I know Ordernolia was a thing for a while now and when I built my Masquenolia deck for playtesting, I did start with an ordernolia base, but I don't know if Inlet pulse still fits, because I'm still working on the issue of generating the minimum 2 markers fast enough to make turn 3 count, whether the issue be due to not reaching the dragontree wretches or not having the resources on time
Even thought i want Megumi to win, still this episode is great because cool fight between Megumi and Danji, also look like next episode will be funny one because Shinobu fight Himari and Team Blackout training.

Oh my lord did it really take them two season to recognize that optimizing playstyle and realizing how matchups go wasn't necessarily a bad thing?
I think the issue was how the concept was being pushed, not so much the style itself. Also the very major flaw of Gui's intent to be the Ultimate Fighter with a 'flawless victory record' that's...kind of impossible when you take into account how RNG this game can be not to mention new cards are being released all the time. Its only a matter of time before a deck that can be borderline anathema to the Dragontree series comes into play.

Can say I something regarding Megumi because while I do like her character, I feel 50/50 on what direction they are going with her right now; yes her deck build is strong but it seems to lack offensive capabilities because it feels rinse and repeat.
Not to mention is while I don’t mind Danji winning and liking the episode as a whole, the fact that Megumi’s losing streak continues is starting to get very repetitive which I am really not a fan of it or how she’s been treated and written which I really hope that they give all characters equal treatment aside from Yuyu, Mirei, Urara and etc please. 😭🫶

I don’t disagree and I understand that Danji still being a blockhead might rub people the wrong way alongside the ending but it really doesn’t bother me personally and I still enjoyed the episode.
Yes, Megumi has been taking losses lately and I agree that she should have won but I think the purpose throughout the episodes is showing the importance of having fun and playing casually.

So it was a GOOD callback and Danji got his win back from Megumi so it was a great episode. But Danji being the blockhead we all know and love even with all the seriousness going on is just what we need to calm the tensions Aha.

Low key during Meg's final attack I was like "no way no way no way!!!" lmao but of course Danji being Danji still has the gacha Gods from that Michiru fight besides him.
So now Megumi fans, what y'all think. Do you happy with her turnaround, is it too soon, good for her character etc. I just hope that after this she doesn't heavily rely on Danji anymore cuz this proves she is strong all by herself and would've beat Danji if it weren't for his heal.
Honestly, I loved seeing her fight in this episode and wouldn't mind seeingbher use the masque unit for a while.
I also really like Danji but the not texting though in character annoys me a bit, I just know this can really hurt and just getting a sorry, I won't be able to communicate for a while or throughout other eans of communication or a better way to make up for it. Bit Danji talks through his fights and said some nice things, although if he did so earlier things could've gone differently.
Still I like the Masque units, just want to see more of it in her style especially. At the least I hope she has a few more fight but her fight where she is personally invested or more fery are my favourites.

I'm actually wondering, while Giu can obviously brainwash people into being "Optimal Players" how does his training work for specific decks? Like we know that Megumi's deck is decent enough but what if the deck is outright unplayable or just bad? Does he make or patent a new series of support to be printed just for that specific deck/Archtype? Or does he just give them a bunch of Dragowelch cards to focus on just the Masque version?
Was watching the episode until the internet cables decided to stop working, but that's not gonna stop me.

I expected one of them winning this and the victor was Danji, compare to the last fight this felt more light-hearted than anything I like how Megumi's personality didn't change much after joining Uniformers compared to Urara (then again I don't know if she completed the entire program or not, but then Magnolia Masques exist so I assume she did). One minor nitpick though, I know Danji has a lot going on right now but you could have at least let Megumi know what's going on and not just suddenly come out of nowhere and say "hey let's fight!", then again Danji be Danji I guess. I was also gonna hate him for his conversation with Yuyu at the start but then I remembered what Danji said "He's free to lead his own path" and then I remembered the last scene in last week's episode where Danji confronted Zakusa, but then in this episode he's in Wonder hill, which meant that either two things might have happened, either they just talked or they fought each other as they talked, either scenario might have resulted in Danji accepting Zakusa's choice.
Next episode, I see Shinobu, The Deluxe participants, Yuyu , Jinku, Raika and finally Urara with the title DressUp. I have zero clue on what's gonna happen, except probably a training arc or a cardfight utilizing the DressUp for Lyrical Monasterio, which I already have my doubts on that.
