      It's funny how the Gog version is really the best version at this point, it's the one that Bethesda is the least going to mess with, I think it's funny that you have an affiliate code for it, it means that Gog is actually paying attention to the situation and they're taking advantage of the situation so that people could buy a bunch of crap from them, just so that people don't have to be in this screwed up situation where they can't even play their game because Bethesda just can't hold their horses on their stupid updates.

    • @user-tp5yb4hr4w
      @user-tp5yb4hr4w 7 หลายเดือนก่อน

      I got to say I actually like how g o g has two separate versions of the same game, so if I want to buy special edition and only special edition, I could buy that for maybe $8 right now on their store, it's been marked down from 40 bucks but holy crap, then if I want the anniversary edition which most people avoid right now is roughly $14 but it's on sale as well so it's roughly 45 or $50 or something like that, and that's the easiest one to not screw up right now, if you're not a very technical person and you have difficulties doing certain things through steams fix, and you don't know if that fix that you're doing on Steam will even stick properly, it might just be easier to go to Gog anyway and just get that version of the game that won't be getting screwed up by Bethesda anytime soon.

    • @user-tp5yb4hr4w
      @user-tp5yb4hr4w 7 หลายเดือนก่อน

      Oh I got to say I like how your Notepad shows up with a black screen, that's perfect for your eyes unlike most of these applications from the 1990s, Windows has been running Windows 95 on each and every program up until this point, I'm assuming you're on like Windows 11 or something, cuz Windows 10 still has tell bright white background for when you're using Notepad, but I suppose you could just find an app third party app with no pad on it that has a black screen.

    • @user-tp5yb4hr4w
      @user-tp5yb4hr4w 7 หลายเดือนก่อน

      Yeah I can already tell people would benefit from just getting the game from the Gog version, which makes it so you don't have to be as tech savvy in order to fix the problems, cuz the version that's on GOG doesn't have any of the Screwed Up nonsense but that's Bethesda recently, so it's far easier to mess with that version then the one on Steam sadly.
      It feels like the one on Steam is going to be messed up for a while, and if another stupid update comes from Bethesda even though you did the fixes, it could have probably happened again, so you are better off just getting the Gog version regardless.

      Actually if you knew what you were talking about you would know they fixed a whole bunch of bugs and issues with this update and have stated that more fixes are on the way.
      If you are referring to bugs within the game like broken quests etc then let me ask you this...why should they? They have provided full mod support, including tools for modders, and mod creators have already fixed every single one of them. Every one of those fixes can be downloaded and installed completely free of charge. So again I ask you...why should they spend money to fix problems which have already been fixed?
      Oh and lets not forget that if they did decide to make some huge bug fix and sort out every little possible issue within the game then they would have to send that out to us, and how would they have to do that?...in another fucking update which would break all our mods AGAIN! What's worse is that any such fix would not just break the usual mods, SKYUI and SKSE etc but this time it would directly impact potentially hundreds of other mods which are built around the game without any such fixes. I mean one of the biggest, if not the THE biggest, mods out there is USSEP and that mod would be totally wrecked by any such fix from Bethesda. Do you have any idea how many mods rely on USSEP?
      Learn the facts before you make stupid comments but more importantly do yourself a favour and stop hating on things...you will be a much happier person.

    The "Verified Creator" restriction on using 3rd party tools feels like it will just make the paid mods worse. There is no way that tools provided by Bethesda will be competitive with other tools (e.g. Photoshop). Hell, Bethesda probably used 3rd party tools to make the game.

    • @Apoqsi
      @Apoqsi  7 หลายเดือนก่อน +19

      It’s both a legality and morality issue. When money is involved, using pirated third party software (which a lot of mod authors do) becomes a much more serious business. And when using third party open source / modding software, it is mostly a morality thing. Using a free tool made by the community to sell content without permission from those who made the tools wouldn’t be cool with a lot of people. BGS would have used officially licensed software to create the game. And yeah, I do believe this will greatly lower the quality or flexibility for paid creations.

Bleeding experienced staff doesn't help, either.
      Todd and whoever else is left from the senior staff need to get things together and stop making so many boneheaded decisions.

The majority of us are not against modders making money, we simply believe that should never be a requirement for access and a lot of us do subscribe to the patreons of our favourite mod authors as a thank you for their work. Cheers for the Engine Fixes fix! Couldn't load a save before - some nonsense about incorrect mod headers - now it loads the save and immediately crashes. Progress! 😆

    Maybe Bethesda should just leave well enough alone and get busy on Elder Scrolls 6.

    I am done with Bethesda. I will never buy another game from them. I have frozen my FO4 and Skyrim with all the great mods. Thanks for the video.

    Yeah my Skyrim is ruined now. I can’t play without it crashing, (I play on Xbox) when I try to download stuff from creation club like mods it straight up crashes and when I try to go back into creation club it doesn’t let me press any buttons, (like I can’t use the search engine or even see my load order.) idk how they did this-

    Gotta love to hate Bethesda just casually trying to destroy their most hardcore community AGAIN

    It seems that Bethesda would not survive without modders. Considering how many times Bethesda has shot themselves in the foot.

    So, I've got skyrim on xbox x. After the creations update, I can not delete, disable, update, add, or change mods in any way. I have tried completely erasing the game and all data then reinstalling. Nothing works. I can play the game with the mods on, which I'd had before the update, but it's super glitchy now. Hardcore gets locked on, and even when I turn it off, Hardcore effects are still on. Any ideas how to fix this?

    In Bethesda's attempt to fix anything in an update, it only breaks things that were not broken. The game will be bricked on the patches and updates.

    Gee, Thanks Bethesda, Thats what we wanted, we wanted you to fix something that wasnt broken

    So, what we have is Bethesda updating skyrim ONLY to charge for mods and not to fix the game (which is what a game is usually updated for) they could add fixes from the unofficial patch, but they decide to give the possibility of charging for mods and Are we supposed to be happy about it? This update is a mistake from the beginning and if as a community we do not demand minimums, the next thing they are going to release is skyrim again for: mobile or *insert other platform* making the minimum effort and without fixing many of the current bugs that the game has already (as usual).
    Don't tell me now that this is good for mod creators, because you know perfectly well that if someone wants to pay for a mod, they can always donate to the author or many times these mods are locked behind a Patreon subscription. With all this the only thing we do is fill Bethesda's pockets with money with the law of minimum effort and whitewashing these acts of exploitation that make the community look like clowns for not rowing in the opposite direction.
    Finally, the funniest thing about all this is that, they charge us and break the game on the way, so we already have the clown face, the thing is wanting to change this as a community, we already did it at the time with the mods payment on steam and we are victorious, we can do the same if we come together again as a community.

    I haven't allowed Skyrim to update since version 1.6.640 (AND I don't intend too) My game runs perfectly with the AE content and my 180 mods - and looks fantastic.
    My Creation Kit is the last one Bethesda offered BEFORE they moved everything to Steam.
    I DID however have to remove the CK from my Library on Steam to keep it from Auto Updating and reinstall the Archiver.exe after Steam screwed me.
    Luckily I had a back up of everything.
    There is NO REASON Bethesda needs to keep updating this game. It is ONLY to make more money after milking the Skyrim Cow.
    They STILL haven't fixed Issues with the Base Game itself - luckily we Mod Authors fixed thema long time ago.
