Hey everyone, Thank you all for making 2023 such an amazing year. I wanted to do one big last project before the end of the year. Hope you all enjoy! The mods I’m using in Skyrim as well as Morrowind are listed in the description along with today’s tracklist. Mitten was the first channel I found years ago that turned me onto Joov, Jabo, and so many others. He may be gone but he’ll never be forgotten. RIP Paul.
It's still hard to believe he's gone. I remember that he passed, and each time I also think "What? No he isn't, I was just watching one of his videos the other day." It's weird how the preservation of a deceased person's work almost makes it seem like they're still alive. It fucks with you.
He is the reason I truly fell in love with fallout and the elder scrolls series and is the reason I'm here on this video. me and my cat used to cuddle up and watch his latest upload together, and now it just feels weird to no longer expect a new video to come out. It's all thanks to Mitten Squad that I even found this channel... I can hardly believe that I'll never hear his voice in a new video. You will be missed, Paul. He may be gone from this plain of existence, but he still remains within all our hearts and here, on TH-cam, as more than just a memory. May his videos serve as the remaining traces of his work and writing genius. You were more than a great man, Paul... You were one of the best. However, we mustn't drown in our tears at his departure, but celebrate and honor his work and what he meant to the world! The future may not be the brightest, especially with him gone, but he has brought awareness and entertainment to all of us. Let not his death be a sad day. Let it be a moment to look back and cherish what he has brought us over the years... On that note, I wish you all a very merry Christmas.
Paul is who got me into challenge videos in the first place and opened my eyes to how fun a game can be if you put an arbitrary limit on yourself to make it more interesting and the huge amount of other challenge runners on the platform. May he rest in peace.
Without Paul I’d have never found any of these challenge runners and it actually all started from his beating gta5 with only a pistol and it lead me here,to jabo and Darkviper AU. RIP Paul and I’m proud to share a name with you.
As someone who does not enjoy Skyrim but greatly enjoys Fallout, I still enjoy your Skyrim content a whole damn lot. I suppose Skyrim just doesnt do it for me. But you, like many others in the community of challenge runs have given it a great deal of effort to bring out very enjoyable content for sure, stuff that will always bring me back, not because of the game but due to your own drive and passion and personality. Keep up the good joob... I mean work. Keep up the good work Joov! It is a genuine shame that Mitten Squad has been taken so soon but I seeing this section just at the start of your video warmed my heart. May he rest in peace and show god whos boss, armed with fork and bucket. We will never forget you Paul. And we will also never forget you Joov. You all, gone and present, rock.
A challenge idea i thought of right now could be interesting. The challenge is forge any type of weapon and you can give it any enchantment you want, the challenge is whatever weapon you make you have to make a good story for it to give it a name. Essentially build a weapon and play skhrim with it to make it have lore. Like the type of weapons you find in quests, nake your own. Could be fun.
Heartbroken this is how I hear about Paul. Many many lonely or ill hours if watch his videos to get me through - it's so lovely to read everyone's comments and see how many people have been touched by his presence and content. Rest up big guy ❤
Rip Mitten squad. He wasn't the first person I found doing Skyrim challenges but when I did find him I loved his videos. So sad to hear he's gone. Great vid as always Joov
To be fair, Ahlam isn't having it with Nazeem. She is cheating on him with the guy at the Kynareth temple. If you loot him, he has a key to Nazeem and Ahlam's house that wasn't included in the final build of the game.
Paul’s memory will be remembered by thousands if not millions. And a big Thank you Joov for this year, I’m glad to have discovered your channel. Hope you have a good holiday this year and a great year ahead in 2024. Platonic heart emoji from this silly Aussie guy.

Mittensquad was one of my favorite TH-camrs, I actually found your channel from the recommended list of one of Paul's videos. Thank you for youe videos, and your channel Joov. Your 15 second intro made me cry
Happy Holidays to you, Joov! The loss of Paul has hit me real hard I wont lie... but your videos are a comfort and awe inspiring, as in your own way you've made your channel based off Mitten Squad's originality. You have your own unique way of going about your own challenges and thats refreshing. I miss Paul so much. I loved him dearly. He helped me through hard times... it hurts knowing i cant help him, or hear his voice beautifully eloquate cleverly written lines that are bound to please and bring laughter. Rest in peace, Joseph (Paul) may you fly high with broom, bucket and fork. 🙏
If you have an xbox 360 and a kinect, the 360 version of Skyrim uses the kinect mic to let you shout the skyrim shouts and activate them in the game. Might be a fun idea?
I came to this video to have a laugh, I’ve spent the first 20 minutes crying about Paul, it’s strange when a TH-camr passes, everyone involved are strangers, but unlike with the passing of a celebrity, it hits close, closer then it ever should, but TH-camrs have a way of feeling like a part of your life. Now, all that’s left are the videos, in a way, Paul has become a digital ghost. Rest in peace Paul
I think Paul’s passing hits particularly hard because we know how long and hard he was struggling. The man had a seemingly very tormented life, and I was one of the many people that quietly hoped that things would start improving for him.
I don't know if you're still soliciting ideas, but here is one I've attempted and pulled off twice and it was fun, frustrating, tedious, and nail-biting all at the same time. Save Bleak Falls Barrow for later in the game. I suggest at least level 20 so you get some tougher enemies spawning in the starter dungeon. Proceed through the dungeon normally until you come to the first trap room, the one with the rotating pedestals and the big ominous handle dead center. Everyone of course already knows that as you approach the room there is a bandit already in there and he's scripted to walk up, pull the handle, and instantly die from the poison arrow trap unless the dragonborn aggros him (in which case it's just a normal bandit fight). Your challenge: Make it all the way through the dungeon, obtain the dragon stone and the word of power. You may not attack any enemies with spells or weapons although you may creatively use traps as you are able. The bandit in the first trap room must survive, and make it to the end of the dungeon with you. I'll leave it vague how best to do that because discovery is part of the fun. (I have never been able to do this as a lower level. Getting your bandit friend through the swinging spiked gate trap alive when he gets one-shotted by it is really hard. Best bet is to trigger it yourself so it swings right past your nose and then sprint through with him following as it resets. Good luck!)
Thanks for the memorial for Paul. Things wont be the same without him in the BGS challenge scene, but I'm glad you, Jabo, Nerbit, and Doug all carry the torch he left behind. You're a great creator, and an even better dude for that!
Requiescat é pace. As you said, Paul was a pioneer in the BRPG challenge running universe and he got me into challenge runs in general. I still can't believe he's gone. May his memory live longer than he ever thought possible.
Hey man, just thought I'd send a comment, I don't normally send them but I'd like to remind you that you wake up in the mornings and you start doing these amazing things with the game, the fact that you are able to program all these wacky things into the game shows all the hard work you have put into learning those skills and you should be happy that you have all these people that support you during these hard times, I hope you all the best and I know you will continue doing what you love. Keep up the good work my friend.
Paul made incredible videos, I’m glad to see others here who also enjoyed their work, thank you Joov for adding a note to him. I’m not huge into modding my games, but I would love to see Mitten Squad modded into Sovngarde amongst the other great hero’s of Skyrim!
I've played this game on and off since it came out. I've beaten the main quest at least half a dozen times. I had ~no idea~ that Angi and her shooting range minigame existed. This game is amazing.

He was the first channel that did this sort of content that I found, I remember going to his channel almost every night cause he was so calming to listen to. I will miss him (even more)
Probably as for so many other people here, Mitten Squad was my gateway into the challenge runs genre as a whole. Seeing the names of his videos and thinking to myself “what kind of a crazy maniac would do those challenges and why” sent me down the rabbit hole of what has undoubtedly become my number one most favourite youtube niche, and led me to discovering Joov, Jabo, Micky, LilGasMask, Nerbit and many other channels that I love. Paul’s last community post gave me a lot of elation and hope, filled me with reinvigorated anticipation for the next absurd escapade he would get himself into. Because of that, the sudden news just hit so much harder. But, I’m quite sure that the last thing Paul would have wanted is for us to pointlessly weep over who is not coming back. So instead, I am really glad to celebrate with this mammoth of a video the memory of Paul and what his work means for me and, hopefully, for all of you too. The real game was going on all along!
Mitten Squad was one of the things i flund during lockdown that helped me get through those isolating months. I was able to laugh until i cried, and the world feeled like a much more manageable place. I think it's beautiful that his fingerprints are seen in all over this "challenge" in the BGS games community. Even for those who cover games outside of it. He wasn't the first, but his style was pioneering. I hope he rests peacefully. Now, the real game begins.
I have just found out so late why Mitten Squad stopped posting and I am so devastated. Months later, sending so so so much love to his friends and family. Its all I can do ❤

Goodbye Paul. I didn't know him personally but he made a lot of days easier. The community is forever better for having had him be part of it.
Merry Christmas Joov and the gang!
Tom and Joov are enemies to lovers slowburn 200k words
To be fair that Hbombsrguy skyrim video is an April fools joke. It's 5 minutes of talking followed by hours of dead silence
That's actually hilarious. I hadn't seen it yet and just did it for the bit. I've been meaning to finally catch it soon
All his videos are a joke lol
@@Ratface0007 Not true, his videos are indepth analysis, he does actually think Fallout 3 and Skyrim are bad.
Though in his Fallout 3 video he takes a DUMP on the game. He really dislikes Fallout 3
I prefer his less-video game & media focused stuff. He does do a decent amount of research when discussing things that are based on disputed facts
Damn. I was not ready to become emotionally attached to Tom and then have to go through a gut-wrenching "Tom Biting The Curb" compilation.
Rip Paul, in my next Skyrim run I shall collect all possible buckets I swear to you
That beginning with the memorial for paul gave me straight up chills
RiP Mittensquad
Facts man
His name was Joseph not Paul
@@TJMW2022 oh wtf I could sworn he always introduced himself as Paul
@@Sike_WardHe did, that was was his nickname in school. I assume he chose that name outta privacy or he just liked it. His father on Reddit explained it further on the mitten squad subreddit.
Man, it’s sad to hear Paul is gone. He was a truly amazing creator in this space. And an amazing man.
great tribute. Love your videos. RIP Paul, he’s the reason I love this genre of videos and you’re carrying that torch man.
Dude here I am laying in bed at 2:30 am in tears cause I had zero clue why Paul stopped posting I looked it up and it happened during my basic training cycle so I had no way of knowing at the time I still remember years ago when I found his videos and how much they made me smile rest in peace Paul
Paul is the reason im here today watching Bethesda challenge runs. He will be missed and remembered dearly.
Mittensquad was one of my favorite TH-camrs, I actually found your channel from the recommended list of one of Paul's videos. Thank you for youe videos, and your channel Joov. Your 15 second intro made me cry
Rest in peace Paul. You were and always be an inspiration to us all.
mittensquad will always be remembered by all of us, he’ll live on in sovngarde and in our hearts. happy holidays everybody
The man had a seemingly very tormented life, and I was one of the many people that quietly hoped that things would start improving for him.
sorry i’m new to the community who is paul?
@@magdalena_dewintermitten Squad is a channel that did challenges. I’m not aware of his health issues but his videos are well worth watching.
@@nofoxgiven6561 yes i looked him up, i didn’t realise that’s who it was, i’ve watched his stuff, sad to see him gone:(
The background music in your videos is always so awesome. I always find myself grooving.
I do find it funny that the April Fools Hbomb video is still worth the joke.
Good luck!)
Rest In Peace mitten squad, one of the best TH-camrs
Thanks for the memorial for Paul. Things wont be the same without him in the BGS challenge scene, but I'm glad you, Jabo, Nerbit, and Doug all carry the torch he left behind. You're a great creator, and an even better dude for that!
Requiescat é pace. As you said, Paul was a pioneer in the BRPG challenge running universe and he got me into challenge runs in general. I still can't believe he's gone. May his memory live longer than he ever thought possible.
Rest in peace the legend. Paul will forever be missed.
Props to your editor, this must have taken ages to put together.
I fuckin sobbed for quite a while after seeing Paul's obituary. His last community post is heart breaking. Rest easy man. Your real game has begun.
I’m so excited that nakuma returned. I’d love to see another season of the morrowind romance series
Hah - Those are so wild for me to rewatch. The audio drives me NUTS
Keep up the good work my friend.
good of you to offer tribute to the man. i'm glad he'll be remembered.
Paul made incredible videos, I’m glad to see others here who also enjoyed their work, thank you Joov for adding a note to him. I’m not huge into modding my games, but I would love to see Mitten Squad modded into Sovngarde amongst the other great hero’s of Skyrim!
No better tribute to Paul in my own opinion. You did him proud joov. Now the real game can finally begin.
I've played this game on and off since it came out. I've beaten the main quest at least half a dozen times.
I had ~no idea~ that Angi and her shooting range minigame existed.
This game is amazing.
love to see brand new Joov in the recommended, this will be a nice trip down memory lane, and rip to our boy mittens that helped make this possible for all of us
You, Paul, and Nerbit all helped me through a tough time where I was so ill I could not get out of bed. I loved watching all the videos and seeing how the nostalgic game I played as a teen could be enjoyed in ways I didn't know were possible. Thank you for the tribute to Paul, and thank you for being amazing. :)
Mitten is so missed. I hope he is at rest. Others have said it, but Mitten Squad brought me here and I'm glad to have met so many people that share that experience.
And I hope you have a good holiday season Joov.
the real game finally begun, he was preparing us all this time
What happened to paul?... i thought he was just going through the drinking problem..
Edit: just found out. Started crying uncontrollably at 3:52 am while my fiance was trying to sleep. We are all going to miss you Paul, and you will forever be in our memories and be a role model to us with the challenge community showing we can overcome anything we put our minds to. You will forever be a role model of mine.
I believe he passed away from pancreatitis which was related to his drinking. His family didn’t officially release his information so we will never know for sure but we gotta respect their wishes
The glitched out orc pirate is legitimately one of the funniest things I've ever seen in this game 😂
Now, the real game begins.
already saw this on Diet Joov but I'm super excited to see how you edit these perfectly stupid challenges. do it for Paul!
I have just found out so late why Mitten Squad stopped posting and I am so devastated.
Months later, sending so so so much love to his friends and family. Its all I can do ❤
Paul will be missed, rest in peace.
And also, Marry Christmas Joobert!
51:49 wow, this is just magnificent. Thank you for your hard work this year, Joov, you are one of my favourite content creators. And RIP Paul.
Rest in peace paul. Now the real game begins.
All the music choices in this video are absolutely fantastic, I'm not even 10 minutes in and there's already been at least 4 different game soundtracks I love lol
It's crazy that he passed. I've been watching Paul since he created mitten squad.
"Besides, forks are someone else's thing" i actually started crying at that omg im gonna miss him i hope he rests in peace
This is where the real game begins. Rest in peace brother. 🙏
Hey Issac, just have to say, at 15:20 that’s a legendary and subtle sneak in edit of the Enderman teleport sound when the Giant warps over the fence gate. 😂😂
Nothing better than a Joov video the day before Christmas. Merry Christmas everyone and have a happy New Year!
STILL hurts to see paul gone but he will never be forgotten
RIP Paul. Your demons didn't define you ❤
Paul kept me distracted in hard times man, truly one kind & creative soul no other person could match
Sad thing is, I still get mitten squad video suggestions makes me reminisce
The real game will never be the same without Paul, but he is like the tutorial hero that dies and you need to avenge
Hey Joov. I just got Christmas canceled, and I really needed something to make me happy. Thanks for giving me something to be happy about today.
Why did your Christmas get canceled?
@@firewolf0065 I was told quite literally in the last hour or so getting up to it that we just wouldn't be celebrating until more people could show up, so instead of Christmas we're just celebrating New Years. Apparently everyone already discussed it and just....forgot to tell me until I asked when I should drive over.
@@dreamwanderer5791 that's such a strange thing, for me we're still celebrating even tho we're only 3 this year because it just wasn't possible any other way this year
@@firewolf0065 they're justifying it by celebrating on New Years and Eve instead.
I work New Years Eve. Sooooo either I do my job and get 0 Christmas, or I cancel at work last minute.
@@dreamwanderer5791 that sure does sound stressful as hell, do you wanna cancel work or rather not?
