Great video - thanks! I have had my Black on Java cl500 for 9 years and I love it as much now as I did when I purchased it for 5k back in Jan 2012. It just never gets old in my eyes and mind. You look and sound as excited as I am every time I get behind the wheel. On a long motorway run if you set the cruise control at 75 mph you can achieve 30 mpg but of course it plummets around town, especially if you are having fun. It begs to be booted and has massive grin factor. I cannot begin to imagine how quick the CL65 must be. CL65's are rising in price sharply and even the base CL500's are starting to see values increase - I am just amazed that it has taken so long for this beautiful car to become appreciated. Looking forward to your next video. PS, I live in Ukraine now and drove my CL here. You can do nearly 500 miles on a tank and get out after 6 hours without any aches or pains. A true GT car if ever there was one.
Hey Mark, great comment! You are right the CL500 is a fantastic gt car, great to hear you’re driving it the way it should be driven! Well done sir👍🏻 I’ve been on a couple of long journeys in this and it is effortless. One to keep for sure and even if they do increase in value, it’ll be extremely difficult for me to get rid of it. I love it way too much 😂
I am a BMW guy. But I have always loved the CL cars. These are majestic vehicles.

Interior at night in these really reminds me of that of an Airbus or something the way everything is backlit. Amazing cars.

I turned off the video after about 6 minutes, simply because Your excitement clouds the professional review I was expecting. During these 6 minutes I've heard "guys, this is unreal" about 156 times. No, it's not unreal, You're staring at it.
Don't take this personal, I just had to write my thoughts down.
Thanks for your constructive feedback pal, whilst I do agree that I was repetitive (maybe because it was one of my earlier videos and do now try to avoid this) but having said that I guess we will to have to agree to disagree on the “excitement” element as I believe that is something missing from other TH-camrs whilst reviewing cars.
I am a layman who is obsessed with cars and I was in a very special car, so my excitement was inevitable and going off the other comments on this video, other viewers seemed to have liked my genuine approach to it!

I have a 2006 CL500 same color. Love everything about it (except maybe the cost of ABC failures haha).

@@jjulanicars Although it was made for touring I am weary of putting it on a long road trip because of getting stranded with an ABC failure.

@Tac2cool556 ABC is active body control. A high pressure fluid shock absorber system that is prone for failures and leaks.
Are these cars reliable in general?
I always wanted one of these.
My dream car....my doctor had one years ago and my jaw dropped....wanted one for so long...just scared of the big bills.....one day it will happen

I bought one of thesè last year in showroom condition with 56,000 miles for £3,400, a bargin unheard of, awsome car, truely a classic which is bound to go up in price like the SEC.

Hi there. I enjoyed watching. Im just about to buy one of these did you ever soet out the ABC issue would love to know what happened with that i couldnt find the other video you mentioned. Cheers.
You got the mahogany steering wheel and the wheels u can't have some of these without either... Ima exchange ma 645 eventually for one... But it's a tricky one... The 6 is comfortable n very fast with the m6 wheels n black it's nice but the quality in the benz the leather n wood is on another level n the benz is bigger at the back inside... But 16 spark plugs n mot it's a little scary plus the mpg too... The 6 gives me a good 22 n is ma daily to n throw work with is 12 miles in total it's liveable

Stunning. I have one myself in pretty much identical spec. One thing I wanted to ask and I noticed yours does the same. When it's parked up the rear tends to sit a lot higher than the front. Nothing wrong with the ABC it's all working perfectly. Any ideas?

They dont shut down cylinders dont know where u got that from..
V12 shuts off 6 of them, not the v8 tho

I bought a cl last year and I'm in love with it, when I first saw them released I knew I had to have one and got one for 3k with only 1 owner and full service history, lucky isn't the word, I love the sound and the power is unreal, and god they really are alcoholics on petrol 😂

@JJulani Cars I can't drive it about at the moment, it's misfiring and can not think of what the problem could be my computer isn't recognising the fault so I replaced all the coil packs to find out its still the same so was a waste of money lol tried nearly everything and no luck yet, there's no specialists near me either

I love the shape of the CL haha. So yeah guess the cl55 is best of both worlds!
