Took my husband here for his birthday back in 2018 as a surprise. It was absolutely incredible to see this exhibit and is really well made. We also love Emmett Otter's Jug Band! Always on our Christmas Playlist. Somewhere I've always wanted to go and haven't been even though I've been living in MD now for 11 years is to The University of Maryland to see his statue and memorial garden. One day!
I dont't have to imagine being a kid and seeing a skesis cause it happened to me! Its wasn't the 80s but I saw Dark Crystal as a kid and I was quite freaked out by a lot of it. The bit where the leader like disintegrates was the most creepy to me.
I think I saw a few of them (like the Grinch and Horton) in the 2011 documentary ‘Being Elmo: A Puppeteer’s Journey’ So my guess is that they were probably stored away in one of the Muppets’ warehouses I don’t know if they’re still there though
Awesome! Who doesn’t love the muppets
It amazes me to see Jim Henson's talent, and creativity.
oh wow. nice tour. and your questions about the skeksis puppet was what i was pondering as well.
2:03 No , that's the OG Kermit from Sam and Friends .
No the og is at the smithsonian
This is the version from 1963
0:47 that’s convincing john from fraggle rock
thanks!

Thanks for watching til the end!
Will-kins and Won't-kins. I've researched the history of the muppets for years. Lol

Yes that leader part was awful 😅
@thrillsandmagic It was probably the most disturbing thing I had seen in a movie up to that point I was like O_O

did i just see a red diamond coffee marshall dilly storyboard? it's very rare!
Do you know something Thrills & Magic? Sesame Street premiered in 1969 not 1975
2:02 wait I thought thst was Kermit from Sam and friends , because he’s more brown and slim compared to movie Kermit
Welp I watch another video where a Kermit from 1978 (problaby the movie one) appered but I think they moved him also this Kermit is from 1963
It's convincing John
Wontkins is the one who always dies and also here’s a little Tip, Wilkins WILL Drink WILkins Coffee, but WONTkins WONT Drink Wilkins Coffee
Wow it's so obvious now that you spell it out like that lol
I went there
nice!
Henson was a fan of pre-recorded puppetry. They would basically lip sync to music and what not.
Wilkins and wontkins has rare ads u watched like community tv set and jomar instant pie and baseball
They were so fun to watch!
@@thrillsandmagic did u see the community coffee physiatrist one? That's rare
Sadly I think I missed that one!
Are these the actual puppets used or replicas?
Actual
What happened to Kermit's body
I wish I knew
Well Big Bird is 8 feet tall.
This will kill me until the day I die but where are the puppets from the wubbulous world of Dr. Seuss
I wish I knew! I'd love to see them.
