John shot Giana before she actually died, yes to show he’s the one who killed her, but all so while she died in her terms, John was the one that killed her and avoided the sin of suicide. She is after all Italian and catholic.
She was asking him about fearing damnation.
Which is funny because that’s two characters Keanu reeves has played that have saved two catholic women from damnation by suicide (although Giana could very well still go there lol) which isn’t a lot but it’s weird it’s happened twice
And probably so is he, maybe orthodox catholic, but still catholic.
@@rafaelalodio5116I kind of doubt he’s that religious lol.
@@mookiestewart3776my brother in christ have you seen the 3 foot cross tattoo on john wicks back
I'm from Rome, I actually got to meet Keanu at 3 A.M. in front of his hotel (during the day the place was assaulted by people) I was coming home and saw him searching his pockets for a lighter. I approached and just went "Mr. Reeves, need a light?" "I do actually" we smoked a cigarette together and I "forced" him to keep my lighter. No selfies no autograph, fuck it I just had my moment with the Keanu.
Those things happen with Keanu.
People always say "when in Rome, do as the Romans do". But I don't know what they do.
I find the devolution of John’s character in this movie to show how he’s slipping further and deeper into his past life. His wife and his retirement allowed him to leave that behind and become more human. But with John being pushed further and further back into his old life, his old personality is returning. Less humour and human and more into the “man you call to kill the boogeyman”.
That's what Santino meant by "but he can". He wanted to kill off John so the only thing left was John Wick. And as the movies go on, you see him less emotional and a lot more silent. But of course, John Wick only fights so he can be John, and he happens to be the best fighter in the world.
Surprised that not many people notice it. It’s why in the fourth movie he barely talks. He’s consistently getting less and less lines throughout the movies because he’s losing his humanity again by getting back to who he was.
"I want to see him kill 3 men with a pencil!!!!"
-scene where John Wick kills 3 men with a pencil...and your wish is granted
*2 men
"Master has given dobby a glock, Dobby is thug".......PRICELESS
That was funny and cute 😂
I don't think I agree that the violence after Ms. D'Antonio's death was superfluous. Santino forced John out of retirement again, destroyed his house, then tried to have him killed twice after he did the job Santino sent him to do (once by hit squad, once by open contract). Most of the violence was just John trying to survive. Only exception was going after Santino in the museum, and eventually the Continental. I'd argue the revenge was as necessary as the fight for survival in John's mind.
The coins are basically an honor-based currency representative of a service rendered, so more valuable than normal currency. You notice during the suit up scene he pays the guy providing information the most. The guy with the cup he drops a coin in is obligated to fulfill his request to help him.
31:30 John left the blade in Cassian chest, if he get medical assistance he'll be alive.
33:15 Bowery King was once targeted by John Wick. John had given him the choice of keeping pressure on the wound and living, or not keeping pressure on it, trying to shoot John, and dying from bleeding out in the process.
37:25 John stabbed Ares chest and pulled blade out giving her no chance for survive.
It was actually the other way around, the king was in his before life, “before his ascension”, he was just an errand boy for the high table, he was sent presumably as a bodyguard for another target John was after, and , obviously, when John completed his task, he ran into the king on his way out from the scene… he had the drop on the king as he said in the scene when we first meet him. He gave the king a choice, life or death… we see later his “glow up” to the now King and the rest was history
I just noticed that the Concierge guy is named Charon. That was the boatman in Greek and Roman mythology that ferried the dead to Hades.
And played by legendary actor Lance Reddick. May he rest in peace.
New John Wick reaction?? Yes please! Sounds like the perfect way to wind down from work
First off, you look so pretty in purple, omg. Don't care if it was cheap, the dress-not to mentiom the hair, the makeup? *chef kiss* Loving the glitter and the flowing sleeves on you, too.
Ngl, I'm digging the idea of a Wickfu cosplay from you. I'm not gonna get my hopes up (:Ρ), but it's a dope idea.
Somebody getting plowed in the first 30 seconds...it really sets the tone for what's to come. lol Lionsgate needs to cut you a break; if anything this video was great free marketing for them, because your goofy ass only enchanced the experience. You had me smiling, laughing, loving every minute.
The gamer in you was really coming out in this video. Almost more than Hornyfu, which...wow. :Ρ As a longtime viewer, I had the weirdest sense of pride every time you referenced one of the classics, like "All grown up and a real gamer now, look how far she's come." lol I hadn't really thought about it before, but I can definitely see the Uncharted comparisons now that you brought it up, and I'll admit to the darkest little snicker when that dude got "Joeled."
Right there with you about Ruby Rose, Tof. On, uh...all points. This movie definitely played to her strengths. lol
Your eye (and ear) for detail remains impressive. Shot composition, music choice, stunt choreography...I always enjoy how you take the time to appreciate the small things. And speaking of, Tofu_Notes continues to be a lowkey fave Fu.
Had a great time with this one, Tofu. I'm thrilled you're enjoying the series so far, and I can't wait to check out the next one.
keanu cannot run fact. guy looks like hes a dad who forgot the stoves on as he's leaving the house lmao
It's a result of some pretty extensive neck and back injuries. He's had several surgeries w/plates inserted etc. and suffers from impacted balance and loss of feeling, hence he runs weird
It's pretty impressive that this movie was the first time that Lawrence Fishburne and Keanu Reeves appeared together onscreen again since the end of the third Matrix film.
Remaining friends IRL for so long and coming back together here was an amazing appearance.
Winston did tell John in the first movie that there'd be consequences for even peering back into his old life, and now he really has crossed the point of no return. Still, Santino does actually make a good point about John being addicted to revenge, and the whole series is like watching a momentary relapse spiral further out of control. The puppy Daisy was the last thing to represent that redemption of "being out" after his wife died, and without that he just doesn't have anything else to turn to but violence.
If John was at least open to Viggo's attempt to reconcile in the first movie, everything would have been good... but then we wouldn't have these movies.
@@peterseaboldt1250 Viggo threw that away when he went for Marcus and tried to torture him to death. In this movie John tries to abandon his old life again, especially seen by how he even makes up the concrete to cover up his assassin stash. He got pulled back in by Santino. He really was trying to leave the life, but he's always been itching for a reason to use his skills again/a purpose in this new empty life. I'm sure if it wasn't Viggo's son in the first one, it would've been someone else later.
Keanu Reeves, Tom Cruise, Henry Cavill, and Jenna Ortega are shining stars in entertainment for their dedication to their craft. Going way back, Michael Keaton deserves credit for walking away from Batman when he didn't like the direction taken after Tim Burton left. Halle Berry lived up to the standard in John Wick 3. After you watch that, look up "Halle Berry training action stunts for 'John Wick 3' Behind The Scenes" and "How they trained the dogs in John Wick 3"
why henry and jenna
The “homeless” guy in the subway that helped John was on the steps outside the art museum when John first met Santino after his house was blown up. It’s those kind of details I love about this series.
Another great reaction…I’ll be looking forward to your reactions to the third and fourth movies soon.
The sequel may not be quite as good as the first, but your reaction was. I'm glad you're liking the series. Your commentary was great, as usual, and the editing in this was hilariously on point. Looking forward to Chapter 3.
i disagree, the second one sets up the 3rd perfectly but imo its better than the first simply because the first wasn't intended to have any sequels and yet they managed to make it happen anyway and pulled it off so well
@@Snake420them pulling it off well doesn’t make it better than the first lol. What do you think the second movie actually does better? Setting up sequels doesn’t make for a better movie in its own right. Your comment makes no sense
@@mookiestewart3776 the fact that they managed to make a sequel when the original movie didn't leave them any kind of actual room for it, the ending of John Wick 2014 was not leading to anything happening after that and yet they made another movie and it's not only good but somehow better than the original, most movies fail to even make a decent sequel, let alone one of this calibre
the first one is a great movie by itself, but the others are i guess more about the action. The 4 is all about stunts, and its fine, the history has been told and movies like Mission impossible are starting to laern this stunts
2nd one was lackluster but a very good movie nonetheless.
I am expecting the announcement of a 5 hour long analysis on Tofu's Patreon of the scene of Ruby Rose doing the crotch grab/butt feel search on Keanu, including socio-economic and geo-political implications. Btw, John also did Gianna a favor by shooting her. She was most likely Catholic, so he prevented her from dying by her own hand, a cardinal sin.
Ah, the reaction I didn't know I was waiting for. You made a rough day turn right around.
Bless your purple, delightful self. 💜
thank you for a movie commentary... i needed this
Oh and btw, the concierge’s name is “Charon.” I think it’s pronounced like “Kah-Ron.
It's "Kair-ron" apparently, I've been pronouncing it wrong all these years.....
Wasn't his name said in the other 2 movies after? Maybe that's how the name is meant to be said but in the next 2 movies, it's like Sharon but emphasis on the second syllable.
It took me this long to realize that his character is named after the ferryman to the underworld.
It can be pronounced sha rown
@@callumnorris3738 that too
Oh shoot, Im here early for the first time! Love the videos! Hope you continue this movie series or any other movie cause I love these reactions. :D
john wick in Mortal kombat guest character combos and fatalities Epic perfect fit
oh gosh yes I love your commentaries please please keep going!
Tofu found John's weakness. For John Wicks 1-3, villains had two consistent ways to surprise John and catch him offguard. If he's on foot, ram him with a car from his right. If he's in a car, ram him for his left. Seriously, it's consistent through all the films until Chapter 4.
You would LOVE the rest of the series. You can track almost exactly the progression of modern gun-fu in movies through this series because everybody who has worked on it was, at one point or another, a stuntman themselves - the director, ACs, ADs, hell, even Keanu himself. Chad was Keanu's double way back in the Matrix series. So this project has very, very deep ties.
ALSO: regarding John's seeming character regression - keep watching the movies. You're on to something, but not in the way that you think.
Didn’t expect you to upload but glad you did 💙
Another upload yay. Love the hair by the way

She has in interesting life.
The editing quality of these videos is extremely underrated
I loved this reaction. Your editor in particular had me chuckling all the way through with the sass. Can't wait for your reaction to Chapter 3.
Chapter 4 was amazing. I love all. Prequel hope its awesome. Keanu can't run no more.
I just recently found this channel and it is probably my favorite channel definitely top 3
A little cool behind the scenes detail, which just shows how committed Keanu was to the role - when they were about to shoot the scene where he takes his car back, initially all 3 of the cars were exposed and Keanu went "well that doesn't feel right. John would know his car even when covered up" and that's when a great director knows he better listen to his lead actor. The scene really is so much cooler with Keanu walking up to the 3 covered cars and instantly knowing which one is his.
Your reactions to John Wick (among others) are my favorites!
First time on this channel. I love your reactions. I think I'll stick around.
Ive been waiting so long for this
I love you reacting to my favorite Movie series and I hope you reacting to all of the John Wick movies. I really enjoy it.
Chapter 3 may be my favorite so definitely looking forward for that 😂 but love how unique your reactions are especially to this because most reactors have the same on Camara shocked and surprised but no honesty like u have. And love that u get that it's a movie and not take everything so seriously great reation horny Tori haha 😂😂
Looking forward to your reaction to the rest of the movies
ayy I was waitin for thiss
i cant wait for your next JW reaction im loving these... and i love that you can get pretty dark regardless of the colors :D
Thanks love your reactions to these movies but why do you have to make my brain melt :)
I love your reactions, new sub here, and your outfit is beautiful, and your hair and makeup, everything, excelent content
Omg was just looking for something to watch!!
Thanks for existing.
Another fun, charming, and all-around delightful video, Tor. I've told you before, but these movie reactions are genuinely among my favourite videos on all of TH-cam.
I watched the movie a few weeks ago and - not unlike yourself - liked it a great deal but not quite as much as the first one. I think part of that was the novelty being gone after the first movie. So much of the fun - awesome fight scenes notwithstanding - in the first one came from slowly learning the reality of who John is, what he can do, how terrified people are of him, etc,. Whereas this time around we already know all that and there really weren't any new elements that filled the same niche as the mystery who John Wick actually is. And ultimately the overall dynamics and structure aren't that far off from the first one either aside from that missing mystery element. Which, incidentally, does have me excited/curious to see what they do in the third one since the ending here sets the next one up to put John in a very different position from the first two. The assassin world is out to get him, he has no sure allies, he has no resources - does John even have money besides assassin coins? No idea what's actually gonna happen, but it definitely has the potential to be a fun change of pace.
And on the note of what *might* happen in the third one, I did have a thought about John's lack of growth in this one. Namely that perhaps regressing as a person was his journey this time around. Across both movies he has - against his will - been pulled increasingly further back into the lifestyle he tried to leave behind, and as a sort of survival mechanism, maybe that's forcing him to become the person he was before meeting Helen. I imagine whether or not that's what they were going for will be more clear in the third movie. Maybe the next one will be John going through one long existential crisis while also trying to keep himself and his dog alive against an army of assassins. Or, you know, maybe I'm overthinking the whole thing. Only time will tell.
Anyway, from your reactions and thoughts to the beautiful look you wore to the sharp and funny editing, Tor, this video was wonderful. And it leaves me very much looking forward both to watching John Wick 3 and to eventually seeing your reaction to it.
you would be my favorite TH-camr if you uploaded more.
Been waiting for this reaction. Going as John Wick to a con tomorrow.
Looking forward to see you doing the other 2 John Wick movies, Totally enjoyed 1 and 2
Bro I just watched her first John Wick reaction yesterday
hope you enjoyed it!!!
@@QueenTofu Hey Tofu! When will the new part of God Of War Ragnarok come? (I'm sorry for my bad english)
"is that the guy from the MATRIX?" They Both are...!
Your Dobby is really good! LOL
Love your vids been watch since you played rdr2 for the first time
Ok
RIP Lance Reddick ❤️
I cant wait to see your reaction to the third and fourth
Tofu's responses during the review of these first two John Wick movie shows sooooo many red flags! 🤣
3:30 I can't be the only one hearing the Quick Revive Perk-a-cola theme here?
I have to wake up for work in 6 hours but u know what. Anything for the Tofu gang 👌 👊
i cant wait for the next react 😭
Where’s number 3 ? Love this content, also you are absolutely stunning
"The" car is also symbolic for John as a character. It's a 1969 Mustang, but it's intended to be one of very few Mach 1 Cobra Jets (in reality they only came in red, and this car has the motor from a Mustang Boss 429 in it), the '69 Mach 1 and Boss Mustangs were the fastest and hardest to control muscle cars to ever leave Detroit, and among the rarest. In putting the motor from one in the other, they made a car that is one of a kind, with the reputation of being an unstoppable and untamable force of nature, like John himself.
Lol I love the delivery on that "John, what the hell man I thought you loved this car" lol
You should watch the gun training drills Keanu did with real weapons to prepare for JW
Love your content. Great personality and you look amazing.
WE NEED PART 3 PRETTY PLEASE PLEASE!!!
Where the concierge takes John at the end, Bethesda Terrace, is a few yards from where Perkins was shot for breaking the rules of the Continental.
You should definitely do Constantine if you haven't seen it. Keanu Reeves playing a badass named John, only fighting literal demons
The car you saw here 2:47 is a 1970 chevrolet chevelle ss 396 pretty sure its his car too and his other car (the grey one )is indeed a 1969 ford mustang boss 429
And the gifted car in the first movie is a 2011 dodge charger hemi
The Chevelle is the "loaner" he got from Aurelio in the first movie.
I never knew lighting in a movie could make me feel things until I started these movies. It just gets better.
It's Vivaldi's Winter, the movement that goes the hardest lol. DUN dun DUN dun DUN dun DUN dun DUN ~ digidigidigi dun dun dun dun ::|
Again, well done. Thank you.
Love the reaction, as always :) also...why the hand warmers 😂😂
Circulation issues and hyperhidrosis :)
@@QueenTofuI know you still have Chapter 3 to react to but I cannot wait till you get to Chapter 4, it in my opinion is arguably the best out of the series.
@@QueenTofuI’m not sure if you’ve heard but there is a three part miniseries called The Continental, it’s set ad a prequel before the movies, it’s 1970’s New York featuring a young Winston and his hotel concierge Charon. You should check out the trailer.
I fraking Love Love Love your vids!!! Please do much more reaction vids!!!!
JOHN WICK 3!!!!!!
Love your videos
John Wick 2 is basically a Matrix reunion.
Glad to see that she really put extra goop on for John in this reaction lol 🔥❤️
TOFU always good to see you
YAY NEW REACTION
I've enjoyed a couple reviews by QueenTofu and really enjoyed them.
Omg your reactions crack me up!!!! 😂😂😂😂
The car at the beginning is the one he borrowed/bought in the first movie when he said 'i need a ride'
My god I already love your content, stop being so goddamn adorable, enough is enough
Great reaction! Can't wait for you to react to the next 2. But I could also watch you sit there and watch paint dry. Damn, I need a life
This movie till this day still🔥🔥🔥🔥 gotta watch the others now🔥🔥🔥🔥
I can't wait for the reaction to the overhead shotgun seen in Chapter 4
Chapter 3 is incredible and Chapter 4 is easily the greatest action movie that I've ever seen. I'm looking forward to both reactions.
That train platform is so pristine, because it's pretty much brand new. It's the PATH station at the World Trade Center (note the blue "end cap" liveries at 30:10).
Also, there is no "Broad Street" station on the C train: that's actually on the J, with limited rush service on the Z.
The C does, however, go through Hoyt-Schermerhorn, a station that has been used as a set for some significant films. Michael Jackson's video for "Bad" was filmed on the mezzanine (as was Weird Al Yankovic's parody of it). Also, it was set-dressed as a stand-in for "City Hall" station in "Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles" (1990).
Ah, but enough railway geekspeak outta me... 😳
Queentofu huge of your videos over the years you should definitely watch John wick 3 and 4 on the channel
With a pencil!
38:36 John pulling way faster than Arthur Morgan there
Looking forward to your experiences with more!
In the scene where he kills santino you can see the bartender lady is shocked too.
His car was a 1969 mustang. Then the 70 chevelle was a loaner I think he just kept it.
A back rub does indeed sound quite fantastic haha, especially during a movie night 😁 Also, RIP Lance Reddick (Charon). You're greatly missed.
Just a heads up I noticed when watching this, the editor may have mistimed his inserted text because it should say "TW- wrist cutting skip to 21:03 (I wasn't triggered I've seen this but some others might be so may be worth checking out.
Damn. This came out 3 weeks ago? I saw the vid and thought;
"It's about damn time!"
It makes sense that john didn't name the second dog. He's traumatised after seeing daisy die, knowing that his wife left that as a final act of love for him. He is deathly afraid of losing more of the things he cares about that he chooses not to name the dog. Even the damage on his own car is actually him saying f-ck it and embracing the pain and using it to his advantage.
27:25 oh boy you gotta see the 3rd and 4th movies xd
I like to believe that John shot her so that, when she was found (being Italian and most likely Catholic), they didn't deny her her Last Rites to enter Heaven. Since she technically committed suicide and that's a no-no to the Catholics...
the car John Drives is a 1969 Mustang Fastback. The car he's driving in the beginning was a loaner from Aurelio (the one he used to get home cuz Viggo stole his Mustang). its a 1969 Chevy Chavelle SS. Both great cars.
I think you can draw parallel's since Dodge and Chevy are apaprently company cars, but Ford is not a company car (?)
