In today's video we take a look at the different steps you can take to get started in football, and the different pathways available for becoming an analyst. I share my journey along with some things that have worked for me so far, in the hopes of getting more people involved in this sport.

My dream is became a manager at a highest level. The only fear about it I'll never be a professional player, tbh I don't really know that would affect my chances. Now I am 18 and I am thinking about the grassroots course as soon as possible but the Hungarian Football Federation is awful in this regard. Ever since I decided that I'll be a manager, I started to analyse games and think a lot about tactics and the topic and because of that my game understandance and intelligence has developed a lot.

I've been playing my whole life but have only started coaching (my daughter's team) in the last few years, which has required a lot more match analysis and tactical thinking than I ever did as a low-level amateur player. @FootballMeta I'm a data analytics UG student who has recently discovered this world of football, and I do have skills in both tech and design, which I've used as a freelancer. Your videos were the ones which help me learn football from different perspectives, and also opening up a world where I can utilise my skills to the max. While we don't have many football clubs as far as I've seen in India, I do hope to do some analysis as a project one day for sure in some sport, preferably football, badminton or cricket, as a side project for my own gratification and experience.

I'm starting to study data analysis, and been seeing this kind of analysis (the ones that u make here in your channel) with my eyes full of passion, as football has been my favorite sport since ever. This video brought to me some inspiration. Going to try out and create some material for local clubs here in Brazil, I feel like we can have more of this analysis herel, even with smaller clubs (today, we see it only in the biggest clubs, Serie A/B, wich makes me wonder: why?). Thank you for that!

I would love to manage, but it's a long journey, I'm happy as an analyst for the time being. Obviously always aiming to move up the leagues
With a 31 minute flight time on the drone, how do you cover the entire match? I'm a gaelic football analyst where there tends to not be much elevation around the pitch so a drone would solve a lot of problems.

Nice video mate! I have a question though. How can I, being a coach assistant in an amateur league, but reaaally amateur, get to the analysis tactics? I mean, usually we don´t get videos and the main observations we do, we do it in the sidelines, so what can we get from there? or how can we get it. It is somethimg similar to ask, how it was done in the past? When were not recordings or videos, just pure experience observations. Get someone to record the games from the angle he showed. It's not about *you* figuring something out - in the old days before video analysis top coaches could visualise the movement of players in their heads from what they saw from the touchline - it's about *showing* something to the players and the coaching staff. It's one thing moving magnets around on a tactics board and claiming that you remember exactly how a certain move happened, and another being able to show a clip with annotations.
football has definitely changed a lot since video analysis became a core element of training and planning. if you don't have video you can do relatively simple statistical calculations by counting your chances (goals, shots, crosses, corners etc). by giving each chance a certain point value you can compare your team's "danger" to the other team

I've studied sports conditioning and I manage a Pro Clubs team. A lot of my experience is in virtual 11v11 games, I want to improve here and I want to move on to professional club football as well. I've done a fair bit of analysis.
