Is there a way to login to the tplink router again? After I have done the wds bridging, I'm unable to find any method of accessing the settings of the tp link router. It only lets me access the DNS Gateway of the original router, which doesn't help. I have to keep on resetting the tp link router to change any settings and repeat the entire process.
What is the version/generation of the Archer C6? I have 4.0 and I have completely different UI with much less amount of the settings. Can I somehow install this firmware to v4.0?
You need to navigate to the LAN section and give a static IP from your existing wifi network. and make sure that is reserved for 2nd router's MAC address in your first router.
Working but the next day when i restart the main router the extender TPLINK cannot connect. I have to manually on daily bases do all the process as to reset the router then add new password then go to advance then go to enable WDS bridging, tick off DHCP server, change IP in lan and then reboot and then it connects Any suggestions why is this happening or what is the solution .
@@crazylove2426 Restarting in the sense i switch off the main router and the extender every night and start the next day. But next day i have to reconfigure it again and do the whole process as it does not connect.
Even me facing same issue. Whenever main router restarts, extender doesn't get connected to device from then. Again have to setup everything. Any solution anybody ??
Your main router's 2.4G WAN channel may be set to Auto. When you restart, it may be picking another channel requiring you to do this bridging again. To fix that, change the channel from Auto to a fixed number - eg: 1, 6 or 11 and save. Then do WDS bridging again and you should be able to automatically reconnect after main router is restarted.

this is for the very old firmware. where is the option in version 4???

First connect to your router via wifi or lan , then enter the router ip address (see the back side label). That should work!!

Okay found it, reset your router and if its tplink you should be able to find LAN settings and set to the client ip as i said in my previous comment
