Great tutorial. You really know how to explain your thoughts. So precise I'd say. Interestingly, I've also done this tech before, with copy-and-pasting the dry waveform, and maybe add some speaker emulation on it. Also very intuitive (cause I can "see" the delays). Only now I realize this's called Delay Throw. Thank you.
Ayyyeee, that’s mad, as soon as you mentioned doing fx as a chain I was thinking what it’d sound like w little alter boy, would you ever go further and automate the formant? I’ve found automating delay settings can get that same tone variation as an echo but much less controlled
Hey thanks! For sure and it's so crazy that you mention that because I actually posted a video on that exact topic today: th-cam.com/video/_fA48B6SLx8/w-d-xo.html
It's a great DAW and my daw of choice! Even in areas that were once problematic, Avid is starting to really improve the software to keep up. Once you get to know it, it's incredible what you can do! If you want more ProTools vids, just let me know :)
Is there a vocal effect for rap where you can engage an overall MUTE button? First heard rap in the 80’s and figured it would be gone in 6 months. I underestimated the importance of a musical form that requires NO TALENT, I must have because it’s still here and it still sucks.
Lol. I work in all genres so I get it when some people like pop but not rock, classical but not metal, rock but not rap, and so on. People have different preferences and express their art in different ways… and that’s totally ok. I’ve seen some incredible freestyle rap in person that is pure undeniable talent alone. Rap isn’t about to disappear because some people don’t like it, and neither is rock if someone’s neighbour complains about it being too loud. The way I see it, when music is being made, the world is better for it. Let artists create. Rock, pop, metal, rap, classical, funk, and the rest. And if we don’t like some genres, that’s ok too. That’s why there are a whole bunch of different ones to choose from. At the end of the day, I’m pro-art. And for context, my favourite bands are The Beatles and Rush 🤘
Great video bro 🔥

It's great. VintageVerb is a go-to for a lot of engineers.
How to do in logic ?

Thanks!
how to make this delay in cubase >? ?
It's definitely doable with the same technique! Just open up the send automation track and automate a send going to a delay on the return channel :)
Peace! What song is that on the intro?
Thanks! This is a short track I put together for tutorial purposes, unreleased. Welcome to the channel :)
@@audioedges that's you? 💥💥💥
@@checkarelli Just the beat and mix, not my vocals on it!
I wonder how many WAYS to get things done in pro tools and we don't even know it! I THINK THIS DAW IS POWERFUL THAN. IT LOOKS SIMPLE

I don't and never have used bots for comments or anything. I like to think some viewers found this helpful and left a comment!
He leaves out a lot of steps, and his color scheme does not help much
