I found you an hr ago and just watched this amazing old home. I don't know how old they were in 1968 when they married to be gone now. We married in 1970 and are in our early 70s and we hike and cycle despite arthritis. So these ppl either didn't keep themselves fit after retirement or something killed them that they couldn't do anything about. So sad. We definitely think they're forefathers we're extremely wealthy. Some of that stuff looks like stately home stuff. The garden's look like they've never been tended in decades. Maybe it's in probate. So sad to see ppls' lifetime belongings just left to rot. A ceiling takes some time to drop like that. I love long videos and alas not many ppl make them.

In 1959 at Christmas I had a little bottle of scent like the "Gardenia, London " one you asked about. Mine was Californian Poppy, and my Mum bought it from a Sikh salesman who was selling stuff door to door from his suitcase.
Gardenia is women's perfume. I'm surprised that someone hasn't cleared that place out. So many valuable items left behind, alot of money just sitting there!
Please, please don't be afraid to do a rather long video! I'm sure I'm not alone in thinking we would LOVE you to take all the time you like to go through it ALL for us. If it's too long for some they can watch in installments as and when they can, but please, please DO make a wonderful lonnnng video even if it IS 2 hrs long!! You'll be the ONLY one who gives us that time and the chance to see everything. X
They were serious collectors! That was a lifetime of carefully chosen pieces from antique shops and fairs up and down the country. I know this because I do the same and I recognise that they liked everything that was old. I could get a really good profile of this couple. They had flipping excellent taste in antiques. It was all valuable. Their house was spectacularly gorgious, will have to watch this excellent explore several times. It was fascinating and just up my street. The best explore I'm ever likely to see, mate, I can't thank you enough, this was sheer perfection. Respect.
Hi Pat, im glad you enjoyed the tour of the place. Like you i also love all the old stuff, they just done make things as good these days. If you enjoyed all the antiques in this place i also did another similar place on my last explore, the one before this video, full of antiques, tea caddies, silver perfume bottles and a human bone foot . . . . . . . Im sure you would find it almost as interesting as this place:) Thanks for watching
Nice respectful neighbourhood house not ruined ,surprise you can see closeness of another’s property’s troughs windows of the whole video.Bravo for good neighbours!Sad home is left….to decay.
Time you entered I could easily see that an elderly person spent they're last days at home. No longer able to care for the garden or their home. I fear the same fate.
I really enjoyed this video, thank you! Whatever has happened, I hope that some of these lovely pieces are rescued before they fall into disrepair and that the new buyers of the house restore it sympathetically with the original features preserved.
Long time no see! Lol. Wow! What a place. I would imagine maybe someone in the Navy may have lived there. It's hard to believe that the house is abandoned. Perhaps they are in a Nursing Home? It looks like someone started packing up and stopped. Maybe the property is in dispute with the relatives of the owners? Or maybe they left it as they didn't have money for death taxes, and all that goes with it? I was expecting someone to walk in... Glad you are back.
Hi Eileen, yes you could be right about someone being in the navy as there were so many things with boats and ships on. Amazing place, wish I could find more like this . . . . . . . .:)

Hi Dawn, yes id also love to buy the place and go through all of the stuff in the house, i bet there is some treasure to be found amongst it all for sure:) Thanks for watching
My only wish is that some of the relatives of the folks who used to live there would go back and make it the absolutely beautiful home it once was keeping parts of the original occupants there too before this beautiful house gets destroyed . It took a lifetime to collect and get the house into this beauty it is it would be a crime to let it get into a state of disrepair
Hi Julie, Im glad you enjoyed the tour of the place. So much cool stuff just left behind, hope its gets saved and maybe a charity can come in and reuse many of the items for people who need them. Thanks for watching:)
Just finished the video in the morning because I fell asleep, that happens a lot, so take no offense. But I had to backtrack when you said there was a human foot. I immediately thought it has to be a medical educational model. Great video! Loved how you squeezed through the doggie door. Lol
Maybe the property is in probate. That seems to happen a lot. Nothing can be removed until family members agree on how to divide things. That is sad as well. Having a Will drawn up is important.
I explore also. But although this house was wonderful this felt like breaking and entering into somewhere not long left. Publishing this especially with the outside photo is just inviting disaster for this place and the wonderful antiques. Elwell painting is worth a tidy sum. I could not watch to the end ..uncomfortable viewing.
This is the first of your videos I have watched and I have say your camera work excellent and hmm well really everything about your video! Count me in!
Hi Ruby, thanks for your kind comments, i do try and go as slow and steady as i can with the camera as i want you to see all the details that i see. Houses as untouched as this dont come up that often so i wanted to try and film as much of it as i could. There was soooo much interesting stuff inside too that i didnt know what to film first. Im really pleased you didnt think it was too long a video and it was a pleasure to film for you:) Thanks for watching
Your videos are brilliant! At last a new one 😊. I certainly would not complain if your videos were 2 hours long. Gem of a place! Feel sorry for the poor houseplants, desperately trying to survive!
Wow, that was certainly a lifetime of possessions eh !! This couple must have gone shopping every week of a very long life. Some beautiful things in there and what a treat to see it all in such detail, thank you for taking your time and showing us everything, you're an expert at doing everything with one hand 😄 Beautiful stained windows on many rooms too, I'd move in there in a heartbeat, lovely wee place. I hope they have family to pass on all this beautiful furniture to, its sad to see it all sitting unloved. Anyway, first time watching you, came up in my recommendations and I'm so glad you did, looking forward to watching more. Nice to meet you 😊
Hi Carol, I’m glad you enjoyed the quick tour of the place, like you said it’s a beautiful old house with the stained glass windows and all the old antique furniture too. Yes they certainly were buyers of all kinds of things, just looking at the hook with all those hundreds of receipts on showed us what they were like. Anyway good to meet you too and thanks for watching:)
Hi Don, your certainly right there, it’s full of antiques and cool things that collectors would love. Let’s just hope that the wrong kinda people don’t find this place:)
Where are their children? The pictures show children and this house needs to be rescued NOW! So sad yet still amazing and beautiful! Thank you for letting us see such an amazing home! I wish I could be the caretaker for a home like this, I live in the US and enjoy seeing things from afar, I am also severely disabled and love living through the eyes of others, be safe!
I've heard several theories about why children don't claim houses like this. 1. They are in a legal dispute with their siblings over who gets what; 2. they live a long way away or in another country and cannot get the time to sort things out. 3. they are ill or have personal problems (alcoholism etc) that prevents them sorting the house out; 4. They are very rich and just cannot be bothered to go to the effort of sorting a house out for what is small change to them.
Oh wow!! What a beautiful explore!! Your videos are never long enough for me, lol! They are always so beautifully filmed!! Thank you for all the work you put in them, Stare!!! I watch them more than once and always see something new I missed before.
I would love to have all that blue and white crockery and the little writing desk. I always feel sad to see someones lifetime left to decay. Hope someone saves it. Thank you for showing us around.

Thats the type of house I would buy to fix up. But the fun hours going through all of that !
Hi Dawn, yes id also love to buy the place and go through all of the stuff in the house, i bet there is some treasure to be found amongst it all for sure:) Thanks for watching
Thanks man, we love these videos. Central California watching
Hello again Theodore, sorry its been sooo long since my last upload but i hope it was worth the wait:)
@@stare6711
Definitely, always
Whoa that garage is load with all that stuff yikes lol cool explore of this place I stumble across your channel cool content you have🤠
My only wish is that some of the relatives of the folks who used to live there would go back and make it the absolutely beautiful home it once was keeping parts of the original occupants there too before this beautiful house gets destroyed . It took a lifetime to collect and get the house into this beauty it is it would be a crime to let it get into a state of disrepair
The first video I've seen from you. I hope this house isn't just left to rot. Great video, I've subscribed
I've watched many houses be explored, but I think this is my favorite.
Love the long video, wish people would do more.
The Elwell is a print, as are most of the paintings.
Love it. Maybe go back and do a special long video.
@@stare6711 I don't think you could make that is too long. Give a 5 minute intermission to make popcorn and it's all good 😊
Your videos are brilliant! At last a new one 😊. I certainly would not complain if your videos were 2 hours long. Gem of a place! Feel sorry for the poor houseplants, desperately trying to survive!
Hi Natasha, it was great to find such an untouched place full of cool stuff like this one. Hopefully it wont be as long before I find another one:)
@stare6711 Hi is their a way that I can contact you ?
Wow, that was certainly a lifetime of possessions eh !! This couple must have gone shopping every week of a very long life.
Some beautiful things in there and what a treat to see it all in such detail, thank you for taking your time and showing us everything, you're an expert at doing everything with one hand 😄
Beautiful stained windows on many rooms too, I'd move in there in a heartbeat, lovely wee place.
Beautiful pieces in this home, an antique collector would have a field day in this place
Hi Don, your certainly right there, it’s full of antiques and cool things that collectors would love. Let’s just hope that the wrong kinda people don’t find this place:)
These folks were the kings and queens of bits and bobs !
@@Londonfogey Could also be that they had an abusive childhood and do not want to go back at all.
Loved the care you took with the things you shared . Shows true compassion for the family. ❤❤❤
Hi I’m new to your channel but I really enjoyed this. What beautiful things such a shame it’s all been left
well done , what a hoard of artistic treasure, of times gone by when there was more respect for things made properly, instead of plastic and electronics.thank you taffy boyo, if you ever need an assistant?
It would be a real tragedy if the furniture doesn’t get saved such beautiful things.
I owe you an apology now I understand why you didn't go into detail how lovely to see this beautiful home 🏡 that was so much to say which is why it explains to me that if you did go into detail, how much langar the video would have taken to film 📽️ thank you 😁 really appreciate your time and also the work you have put in xx😊
What a brilliant place, thank you, and you do it so respectfully. Shame to see it go to waste, so much social history.
@@nicolad8822 He did not disclose the location nor did he touch or take anything, usual urbex explorer, he didn't break in either, the window was open. If you don't like the content why are you watching?
Love the old clothes pulley
This video showed up in my feed. I just wanted to say hi and wish you well. Darren, do you have another video coming out soon? 😊 x
Hi Chrissy, good to hear from you again. I havent filmed anything for quite some time now. My boy has just turned 15 and im trying to spend more time with him on the weekends to get him off his Ipad which he seems hooked on. Maybe at some point in the future i might start again as i do miss it. Hope you are well and enjoying the Florida Sun 😀
Wow that's so cool. I personally think I would have saved it or sold it.
