As a matter of fact, there are too many relationships to be had - which ones to focus on? Which ones to pick? Who are our friends? Of course they will be beneficial to us as we will be to them InshaAllah… so what’s the problem exactly?
The problem is a lack of community, empathy, and care for others. WEIRD culture is concerned with individual, personal benefit. It does not bode well for humanity
If Allah is not anti individualism, where do you get the preservation and the utmost importance of units of family which compromises into societies. And in Jannah the concept of being among groups of others will be prevalent. That’s why there will be banquets because people are social .
For a behavioral code that is moral sound and sustainable in Western society, you can look into schools of thought like… Natural Law, libertarianism, and the politics of human experience, objectivism, all through the lens of Islam. There are INFINITE WAYS to decide how to organize One Self. If all you guys are seeing in the West are limits, please do keep studying.
