There are different interpretations for many reasons but the main two that I know of is that
    1. Many evangelical Christians interpret the Scriptures based on how they feel rather than what God's Word says, the context of the passage, the setting, and the intended meaning of the writer.
2.) There are many correlations and relationships between old and new testament Scripture. Symbolism in the old testament finds itself in the new many times, and in order fully grasp the new testament and the symbolism within, a cursory study of the old testament is key.

Many beleivers are also very arrogant and think they know it all. I have seen Christians tell children they are going to hell or lost their salvation for taking the vaccine. They are leading people
away from God and giving them panic attacks, hopelessness and PTSD like they did to me based on their interpretation. That is arrogance and disgusting!!

The Westminster confession is brutal. The Nicene Creed is the way to go.

Its clear "when properly interpreted"? That doesnt really help because who is interpreting it right? Im so thoroughly exhausted by denominalationism. God help us.

Amen. I'm So tired of christians arrogantly thinking their interpretation is correct and everyone else is wrong. i rarley find a believer who doesn't think this.

Another reason is money. Publishers don't want to pay another publisher to use their translation in a study Bible, so they make their own.

Its almost like the Bible isn't able to be carried around to determine how every household, church and person's life should unfold. Like it wasn't written by God at all and is in fact the compilation of several authors.

Why? Well, because you can't force a horse to drink, and you don't know what you don't know. We have a gigantic heart and head problem in this country.

The bible allowed slavery because the people at the time did not consider it to be immoral.

It was a satanic rebellion against Christ's order he started with his Apostles, who created successors. Neither a licentious king not a mad monk had the authority to remake the wheel Christ made, which he did not undo and did not create grounds by which it would be undone. Only God changed the guard in the OT, regardless the misbehavior of the clergy. He punished them and restored them. His church of the new covenant, started by The Second Person of Whom, has been restored many times and will be again. I say that to sedevacantists and olsimilar schismatics, as well. I will say the Orthodox are second closest to that church, being at least technically apostolic with valid orders.

The God of the Bible wants to be understood? You are saying what Carl F H Henry said about the Bible.
He said ...Evangelicals say that in the Bible God reveals truths about Himself.
Barth says that in the Bible God reveals Himself.....
    Go with Barth.
In the beginning was the Word....and the Word was with(Koine Greek Pros..... turned towards face to face with ) God and the Word was God. And the Word became flesh(sarks) and dwelt among us ......
In the Bible God reveals Himself .
