    I do not go to church, never could find a good fit for me. They all seem to have different or strange customs. I grew up going to church but once I moved it wasn't the same. I rely on sites like yours to learn. And lots of prayer. Thank you for this Got Questions site.

    God is not the author of confussion; we are. The problem is when we bring in our pride and our worldly ideas into the interpretation of God's word. If we can just let the Holy Spirit teach us, we would all be of the same mind (The Mind of Christ). But then again as was mintioned, you have to be born-again to have the Holy Spirit' teaching. As Spurgeon said; "Study well the Scriptures, and get knowledge; for a knowledge of doctrine will tend very much to confirm faith. Try to understand God's Word; let it dwell in thy heart richly."

      Even among born again believers there are many different opinions in different areas, for example, the rapture, pre-terism, futurism, dispensationalism etc.

    7:14 That is wild that people are preaching solely for money and still do not believe. Hopefully that congregation study's God's word for themselves & go to a church where the pastor and preachers ACTUALLY serve God and love God!

      That’s true, and it’s hard for us because we are not supposed to judge. But I think I know what you are getting at. 🦫

    The big problem that I’m having right now is the rapture of the church. Nobody can agree on whether or not it’s pre-, mid, post. People can’t agree on whether it’s pre-tribulation or pre-God’s wrath, and also where it talks about one will be taken and one will be left for the first time I’ve heard the interpretation that the ones that are taking away are the ones that are being taken away to judgment, and then the Christians are the ones left behind versus what we know to be the other way around if you were a pre-tribulation list which I used to be but now I’m not so sure on what to believe. I am getting very discouraged so much so that I see why my brother and sister fell away from the faith.

    My experience very few church goers actually do read the Bible, to start with. Usually these are the ones more vocal about what Christianity is or should be.

    It’s like Babylon
    They were all in agreement with language speaking until pride rose up and they began to agree together to build the tower all the way up the heavens to reach God, but God allowed their communication to be limited and divided thereby causing a conflict of misunderstandings and confusion between them, then the slowdown of their goal of building the tower higher slowly became nullified and they continued to disagree because of their inability and differences to understand you can only communicate and agree when you are communicating in the HOLY SPIRIT, the Holy Spirit makes all things possible and clear.
    We can only agree when everyone is communicating in the same spirit. The Holy Spirit.
    As given, when one or two is gathered in his name, there he will be in the midst. God’s presence brings peace and order and love ❤️ so, if we’re to agree on anything concerning his work and words and life, we must have him truly in our hearts, love and peace and much prayer.

    The first 313 years of Christianity they were being persecuted, they did Not have the Canon of the New Testament, yet. It came around 400 AD.

    Different Scripture interpretations was the sole reason which gave rise to so many heresies. Hillsong & Bethel take for example.
    God has ordained that such thing should indeed happened in the Last Time. 1 John 2:18
    Little children, it is the last time: and as ye have heard that Antichrist shall come, even now are there many antichrists; whereby we know that it is the last time.

    A woman teaching the bible to men, is she going to hell because of this? If she does trust Christ Jesus for her Salvation?

  • @RamonCroes-q5t
    @RamonCroes-q5t ปีที่แล้ว

    There are no arguments to tolerate women teaching our being a Pastor of a Church. However, when the one responsible is not doing his part, not ministering, not praying, not evangilizing and then, one little sister, a true believer in Christ is doing bible studies, is evangelizing, she is praying in small group. Should we, or the authority to stop her, because she is a woman? It is directly contrary to what is written. But, is God in this particular situation against this? I don't think so. It gets even worse when looking at what is Not done, in the mission field, where not tomany are actually even given attention too. We will stop woman who are, more so if she is Bible literate.

    Two things: One. Most conservative Christians subscribe to the historic creeds, Apostles and Nicene.. Two. An inevitable consequence of Martin Luther's mistaken belief that the true meaning of Scripture is plain to everyone. A half-truth at best. Yes, the true meaning some of it is plain to everyone but by no means all.
    Differing interpretations will go on forever in Protestantism because it is an inherent structural defect of this particular system. The original Reformers themselves could not - despite their best and undoubtedly sincere efforts - agree on a range of issues like sacramental belief, church government, aspects of soteriology, and others. Martin Luther and Jean Calvin even met on one occasion (and it must have been a huge effort before the days of trains, planes and cars) to try to resolve their differences. They failed and went away agreeing to disagree, hence the two original strands of Protestantism, Lutheranism and Calvinism.
    I commented on another video about the Real Presence of Jesus in the Eucharist (a very early - as in second century - term for the Lord's Supper). Catholics, Orthodox, Lutherans and most Anglicans use those very same scriptures quoted by Got Questions to deny the Real Presence to affirm the Real Presence. All a matter of interpretation.

      Please sight your source of the meeting between Luther and Calvin. I am not finding it.
      I would agree the Scripture being plain to everyone is a half-truth at best. One does have to humble one's self before the Lord to gain understanding, and it is a process that lasts a lifetime.

    • @marksmale827
      @marksmale827 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      @@deanfry879 You are correct. Evidently Luther and Calvin never met. Don't know where I read that. Must have been Luther and another Reformer.
      Even after lifetimes of humbling oneself before the Lord, there will still not be agreement about some issues. This is a fundamental structural weakness of this particular theology, as Catholics and Orthodox often point out.

    It's simply because people do not use the Bible to interpretation itself and decided to follow traditions especially from the Roman Catholic system that takes its teachings from Babylon, Greek myths and Egypt and change the law of God, for example sprinkling instead of emersion for baptism that the Bible teaches. It also stems from people not studying the true word of God for themselves and be like the Bereans when they heard the gospel preached to them they went and studied for themselves with the help of the Holy Spirit. It should be the Bible and the Bible alone. During the reformation times, the people like Luther protested against the traditions that the Roman Catholic Church was teaching as scriptures. The Bible was chained to the pulpit and the common people were not allowed to read for themselves. Then the printing press started and the Waldenses and others started sharing the truth from the Bible to everyone with the help of Calvin and others. The Roman Catholic Church persecuted the protestants burned some at the stake because the people now knew the truth and wanted to live it. They were no longer gaining money from the traditions and deceptions like praying people out of purgatory or praying to the priests so the people were persecuted that's why it's called the dark ages. Millions were killed because they just wanted to live according to the Bible and not the Roman Catholic traditions. Out of that came lone persons who stood up for the truth, they gathered people of like mind about them and formed a church that's why we have the Calvanists from Calvin, Lutherans from Luther etc. . God was using them to restore His truth and do away with tradition. Sadly today we still have churches hanging on to the traditions of men that that church forced on the people instead of searching deeper into the scriptures and living by God's words alone. Churches nowadays still stretching their hands over to the false teachings and now even want to go back and align themselves with the church that boasts of even changing God's law and say they are God on earth when Jesus Himself said He is the one Mediator between God and man. Jesus Himself spoke against it when he rebuked the rabis and pharisees telling them that they were teaching traditions of men for the law of God. Many of the teachings like the silent rapture are not Biblical they are just traditions. And if people study their Bibles instead of just listening to a preacher the Holy Spirit would guide them into all truth. Sadly there is a battle going on behind the scenes for our souls and as long as the devil can keep us into believing these things and easy access to heaven, there will be these divisions. The devil doesn't care if we go to church and loudly praise God as long as we are doing it our own way instead of God's way. His aim is to keep us ignorant until we are lost. Some people do know the truth but decided to do their own thing as convenience instead of asking, what does God say about it? The Bible is truth, let Scripture interpret itself. If we want to understand Revelation we need to study Daniel. The symbols in Revelation align itself with the old testament especially Daniel. Many people said the OT are no longer relevant, the devil wants us to believe that but Jesus says we should study Daniel in Matthew 25. Jesus quoted the OT when He defeated the devil in the wilderness and Paul says all scriptures are God breathed and are profitable. There was no new testament then. But some churches now teach wrong by saying the OT is no longer useful because we are in a new dispensation that is false teachings but many people believe it because they fail to study for themselves and so we have these different churches with their own ideas and opinions instead of the true word of God Sadly. Let's get back to the pure word of God undiluted. Let's reject tradition and when you do that the Holy Spirit will guide us into all truth.
