    Six60 have collaborated with a couple of bands as well; Cotterie feat. Six60 - "Always beside you" is truly beautiful and Drax Project feat. Six60 - Catching feelings (the concert version) is a blast! Welcome to NZ Music!😁👍💜💜💜

    Awesome Robert. Nice reaction Jesse. Six60 are NZ:s biggest band. The members were University Students that were flatmates and their name is a reference to their street address. Matiu Walters is the (Lead singer/Guitar), Eli Paewai (Drums); Chris Mac (Bass); Ji Fraser (Lead Guitar); Marlon Gerbes (Synthesiser).
    Checkout Lost ft Auckland Philharmonia Orchestra (Vimeo 360p), Don't Forget Your Roots, Don't Give It Up, Rolling Stone, Forever, Rest Of You, Only To Be, Vibes, White Lines, Raining, Rivers, Bitter End, Closer (Lyric video), Up There (Lyric video) etc.

      @@Beldvlmnt Stan Walker, L.A.B and now Six60!!! Don't know if you recall but about a year ago when you'd just started your channel, almost to the day, I commented on a Silk Sonic video, Skate? (not sure), I sent through a huge list of suggestions from NZ artists and their music for you to checkout!!! You can start
      checking them off😂.
      So glad to see our music getting some traction from reactors around the world. Coming from a geographically isolated country in the middle of the Pacific, it's not easy to gauge whether the quality of our artists and their music, and tend to be a little biased in our perspective, so it's nice to hear what those people outside our tiny little country think 🤔

    Bel I watched another of your nz miso’s and you mentioned how the vibe from our part of world has nice cross overs or blend of soul , gospel , reggae yeah it is a vibe you heard Matiu the lead singer say it at the beginning Chur a Māori version of cheers, combined wit Chaa ie Chur another you heard say over the top of the lead guitar “ yeah boy “ these sayings are a New Zealand thing like Joel said in LAB interview we get together and have a big feed that to is a Māori/NZ thing so yeah I suppose it is cultural /NZ influence on our NZ sound . We had a band that played what we called reggae UB40 called the band Herbs music was pacific reggae.

    So honest question: Why do so many non-American singers sound so American when they sing, but have their national accent when they talk?

    • @Beldvlmnt
      @Beldvlmnt  ปีที่แล้ว

      Great question - I think it comes down to how the words and consistent / vowels are actually expressed in the song. With melody being at the forefront, then cadence and rhythm, articulation is kinda free which I think removes a lot of the regional sounds as a vocalist, just a thought haha

    YUCK ! Sorry,it's your first reaction I haven't liked because I detest 6Sixty - sorry,but not everyone from New Zealand "loves" this band. I'll get heaps of hate from their fans,but who cares. Look,there's no doubting they're talented AF,got great social media skills,but their brand of music is mainstream direness. Compared to LAB,who can actually bring the goods to the table,Six6T just deliver mainstream radio fodder,and there's already tons of ready made top 40 shite available. I'll be bracing myself for the hate to flood in. I'll still be following your channel regardless of this...again sorry about the negativity

      @@cmt89497 I just don't get their appeal - I have a helluva lot of friends in the music industry,and many of them don't think too highly of them - none of them are jealous of their success,but based on what - shite music ? Appears like it,but they are very good with social media skills. Nope,not interested - give me L.A.B. any day

      @@robhaunui3343 Their music appeals to the masses, its pop music. Easy listening with very little substance - most of it sounds the same. L.A.B on the other hand are versatile and it is obvious from the first listen that they are all seasoned musicians. I'm not a musician or know anyone in the industry, this is just my opinion.

      @@treboratat been in several "no-name" bands back in the day before the kids come along,so it's not an issue here,I still have many friends who are in some very well known bands,both here in NZ,and overseas so it's no use name dropping. My point was that NOT everyone in NZ likes 6sixty,I did also point out that yes they got the talent,very savvy with their media skills,but there certainly isn't anything groundbreaking with their music - which is why they are successful - they're very formulaic...nothing wrong with that either,easiest way to crack the charts - and theyve done that. But again,not everyone likes that,I also apologized about what may appear to be a negative comment about them,and yes it for the most part was,but that's because I don't want people to think they're the best NZ has to offer,because despite record sales,sold out concerts etc,they're not.
